on the surface akiho is a friendly fire bender, but underneath all the fake smiles she has a hidden agenda to get revenge for her fathers death. she doesn't know exactly who killed her father, but she'll find out, even if she has to wipe out the whole earth kingdom to do so. she originally was going to wait until she became apart of the fire nation army to get her revenge; but if making yyn think she can be a helpful asset to team avatar and help her with firebending will help her avenge her father's death faster then so be it. and nothing will stand in her way.

Appearance: akiho is cute and tiny and looks like she can do no harm. she has a fresh and innocent appearance, especially when she smiles and her faint dimples show through on her chubby cheeks. she is 150cm and 42kg, looks a little stubby compared to other girls even though she's a healthy weight since she's so short. any little weight she gains shows right away and goes right to her cheeks and thighs. both her eyes and hair are very dark brown, on the verge of black. her bangs are always cut a little past her eyebrows and curled so they don't look flat. she prefers to wear her hair down because if its up it shows just how round her face is, something she's insecure about. but other than that she's quite confident in her looks and tries her best to look innocent and harmless.

Style: akiho's outer appearance is very important to her, most of the time she wears her school uniform but when she's not in class she dresses in numerous shades of red, gold, and black. since she's confident in herself she doesn't mind showing skin, and somehow still looks cute in an outfit that would make other girls look kind of y. she loves accessorizing and has way too many accessories and jewelry for her own good. but one accessory that she never takes off is the jade necklace that her father sent her from ba sing se, she even wears it under her school uniform. most of the time her sabai doesn't cover her arms, just her area with a sinh skirt that at least goes past her knees. she rarely wears pants unless she has to, she's really girly so skirts are where its at for her.

akiho is a conniving teenage girl who acts like the most innocent person around. on the surface akiho is very friendly, she makes friends easily and is attentive to all of them. no one would ever think that she has a mean bone in her body until she slips out a passive aggressive and sometimes even violent comment with a whole smile on her face leaving the other person confused and questioning if they heard her right. she's been kissing up to others to get what she wants and maintain a good reputation since she was little but since her dad died her ability to decieve others is at an all time high and her motives became twisted. even if she doesn't like you, akiho would act like your best friend if it could possibly benefit her in some way. you'll probably only know it happened when she succeeded and she's suddenly not acting like your best friend anymore.

she is the kind of person that has many friends but she truly feels like the only people she needs is her family and she'll be satisfied. the way she can study others and butter them up so she can get her way is really impressive actually. she puts a lot of effort into it too, every step she takes and emotion she makes is calculated and thought through beforehand. she adjusts her likes and hobbies for the other person and constantly tells them what they want to hear. it takes her a lot to lose control of herself, the few times it does happen she catches herself before it goes too far or quicking brushes over the questionable statement she said.

very few people can see past her facade. all those who talked bad about her before got backlash from others since she's so well liked. even if someone is onto her she won't lose her cool and still act clueless. its when she's alone will she throw a tantrum and blow fire into the air out of anger. but if her whole plan blows up in her face for once, it might not just be a tantrum behind closed doors anymore and people would see her true colors.

Background: akiho is the daughter of kazuya and kaaru, high school sweethearts who were each others first loves. by the time akiho was born her father kazuya was a captain in the fire nation army. born to a fire bending father and a nonfire bending mother, the odds of her being a fire bender wasn't very high but after much praying from her father she started shooting fire at the age of 4. she was raised in an upper middle class family, her father wanted her to be a powerful firebender so he trained her at a young age and she had a private instructor too. she loved fire bending and wanted to be a captain just like her dad was. she thought he was one of the best and was convinced that there was no higher position than a captain. when in reality he was struggling to get a higher rank. their family was happy, her parents barely fought and she got all the attention as an only child, just how she liked it. everytime her father came home she was excited to show him all she learned and he was happy to watch. in school she was a good student, teachers never complained, and she was known for her strong firebending and friendly personality in school. her life was fine until akiho was 11 years old. in 94AG fire nation troops sieged the city of ba sing se for 500 days and her father was one of those people that led his unit into battle. akiho and her mother were nervous about the battle because there's always a possibility that he wouldn't come back but akiho never thought that would happen to him. she saw her father as invincible and the possibility of someone else being a better firebender than him just didn't sound possible.

the news of his death hit them like a ton of bricks. it didn't seem real because he sent them a gift and a message only two weeks before saying how much he loved them and how he can't wait to go back home. he always sent a gift whenever he went to another city or village. when her mother recieved the next scroll two weeks later she was expecting good news but instead dropped to her knees at the message of her fathers passing. akiho saw her mother's mental state deteriorate but tried her best to stay happy for her even though it was hard on her too. it's like she had to become the adult and the whole situation caused her to hold in a lot of anger. her mom didn't come out of her room for the first three months, akiho had to make breakfast and dinner before and after school. sometimes the bowl would still be outside the door not even touched.

the only times that anger was taken out was when she was firebending, akiho's firebending got 10x stronger once her father passed but also more chaotic. she wasn't as in control as she used to be and thought power was more important than strategy. she's never been more determined to join the army but not just to serve her country, to get justice for her father. at first she wanted to be just like her dad, a powerful fire bender spreading peace around the world. but now she harbors a deep hatred for the earth kingdom and wants to see them all suffer, especially the people of ba sing se. she doesn't really have a plan but she somehow thinks doing that would get her family back to the way they were before, which is all she really wants.

• fire bending – on her spare time she likes to practice on her own. she uses it as her main form of exercising since she gains weight easily.

• reusi dat ton – every morning she does this traditional thai yoga, not for very long at most 10 minutes. it has many benefits such as increased mobility and energy, stress relief, muscle coordination, better circulation, and more. her dad taught it to her when she was younger because he always said nothing worse than starting off the day stiff and with no energy.

• tsungi horn – she plays this instrument at school, she doesn't practice at home often since its loud and disturbs her mom but its something she enjoys and is good at.

• kuai ball – she's really competitive with this and somehow jumps really high even though she's tiny. she approaches all shy asking if she can play then kicks really aggressively throwing the other team off

• she's dated a few people before, her exes often say that she's not as nice as she seems and is actually really bossy but no one believes them and they end up being hated for what they said. she's the type to confess her feelings in front of others to kind of force the guy to say yes because she's known as a sweetheart and he would look like a jerk if he broke her heart.

• she has a big appetite and can eat a lot but thats only when she's home. around others she eats moderately so at home she pigs out.

KAZUYA / FATHER / 36 AT TIME OF DEATH / EX FIRE NATION ARMY CAPTAIN / FC: DEAN FUJIOKA kazuya was a loving father and husband to akiho and kaaru. at home kazuya was a very sweet guy, he was attentive and encouraging. he wasn't the typical husband that lazed around while the wife did all the work, he actually helped around a lot and helped akiho too with homework and firebending. on the days he wasn't at work he tried spending as much time with his family as possible to make up for the time he missed. when he passed it changed the whole dynamic in the house, they're no longer one small happy family. more like two beings just living in the same house with one barely holding on and the other trying to fake her way through life when she's actually still hurting like crazy too.

KAARU / MOTHER / 40 / MOCHI SELLER / SECLUDED, QUIET, PESSIMISTIC / FC: MASAMI NAGASAWA kaaru is akiho's mother and local mochi seller. she runs a well known shop and provides mochi for special occassions around the capital and just for anyone to buy. akiho was known for bringing mochi to school for her classmates and the teacher during teachers day or at the end of the year. since its on the higher priced side people loved when she brought it to them for free. kaaru used to be a bright woman, supporting akiho and kazuya in anything that they do. she was loved for being so friendly and giving discounts to returning customers, since they were well off already seeing customers happy made her more satisfied than the money. but once kazuya passed away she became the opposite of who she used to be. before she never missed an order and put all her effort into making beautiful and delicious mochi but after she started being behind on orders. akiho had to help her more than usual just to make sure she stayed on top of it because customers started complaining. socializing and even going outside were hard for her, it was even harder to avoid others since she had many friends.

akiho doesn't feel any resentment towards her mom for making her have to take so much responsibility, she loves her mom and still tries her hardest to make her smile when she's down. she isn't as bad as before but she's definitely not the same person she used to be. there's still an underlying sadness about her, her bright smile is a lot more dim but she's still kind. more soft spoken and gentle compared to the outgoing person she was before. sometimes she has random moments of depression thats hard for her to get out of. she's at least back to the shop and doing her motherly duties and taking care of the shop, but she definitely gets tired more easily. they aren't as close as they used to be and akiho truly misses her mom.

IROH / FAMILY FRIEND / GENERAL IN THE FIRE NATION ARMY / EASY GOING, OPEN MINDED, WISE / FC IDEAS: CHOI MIN SIK, SONG KANG HO, WATANABE KEN akiho met iroh on a few occassions and he was always friendly to their family. she specifically remembered a time when she was little that her dad introduced her iroh along with her mom. she asked if her dad was a good firebender and iroh assured her that he was a skilled captain, and if anything were to happen he'd always have his back. they even picky swore on it. she drew pictures and sent him letters to him to show her graditude everytime her dad came back home safely. so when he passed away the first person she blamed was iroh. she doesn't even know what actually happened to her father and didn't even get a letter from iroh after his passing. she's oblivious to the fact that his son passed too but either way she wouldn't care because he broke his promise.

YYN / 15 / CLASSMATES / PASSIONATE, TRUSTING, TEMPERMENTAL / FC: VIEW akiho knows yyn from class, they aren't close friends or anything but she's talked to ynn before and offered her some free mochi. yyn was always just one of those people that she used to make herself look better. while the other girls were making fun of her outfits akiho defended her and got them to go away. or when yyn was sitting alone she invited her to come along with her friends instead. she doesn't care about her, only did it to increase her social status and maintain her image as the helpful class president.

Firebending: aoi is a strong firebender, she can create strong flames with ease and has a lot of control and power even though she's tiny, thats because she has a looot of anger in her smol body. she's been learning firebending from her a private instructor everyday since she was little because it was her dream to follow the footsteps of her father and join the military and fight in the war. but once she's mad she relies more on power than technique, something that her instructor warns her about all the time. firebending is her preferred fighting style, since she's small hand to hand combat is never in her advantage because she doesn't have good reach. when she gets really upset her firebending becomes more powerful and she can create blue flames and do jet propulsion.

Intelligence: akiho is a fast and determined learner, she can learn your moves while fighting up and anticipate your attack. she had a lot of practice with sparing from her teacher and other fire benders at school but someone with real fighting experience can outsmart her and that's when she'll get mad and her flames will turn blue and more chaotic.

Agility: akiho is naturally good at sports. for a short girl she's a fast runner and has quick reflexes. since she was little speed was one of the main aspects of fighting that she worked on because she was smaller than the average girl so automatically at a disadvantage.

How do you feel about the war?

"without the war the world would be in shambles so its definitely a good thing. i'm sure our soldiers aren't risking their lives for no reason."

Do you think it will end soon? Do you want it to?

"i don't know, its been going on for 100 years already so i'm sure it can go on for 100 more. whatever it takes to get the earth kingdom to finally bow down to the fire nation- i mean, as long as no one gets too hurt of course." If there is a new Avatar, it would be someone from the Fire Nation.

How do you feel about that?

"i think its great! all the last avatar did was interrupt the progress being made and cause a lot of death among our soldiers. finally having a fire nation avatar could help speed things up a little and maybe they can show the rest of the world that we're the good guys afterall."

Comments: i really enjoyed this app, not sure how much she makes sense though. i confused myself along the way with her backstory so sorry if its all over the place. i was stuck between making her father die in omashu or ba sing se but then i realized it would hit her more later on in life so i settled for ba sing se. i feel like i didn't illustrate how much anger she truly has, she is kind of like azula underneath like girl is mad mad, at least thats how i imagined it. but, feel free to play with her personality and such in the story. i tried to make it more general, as long as the general gist is the same i don't mind her changing. would definitely love if she stayed mad though but maybe some can change that too like a love interest? like i said, all up to you since its your story <3.
