Questions Part #2

ooh you can add pages on blogs now! I suppose you'll just see this when you find it hehe. Continuing on from the last~

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

Give it a try~ When you write, write because it's fun, and when it's hard, give time to come back to the feeling that it's fun.

Everyone starts somewhere! But always, always, planning is important :)

And also. Deleting stories can cause pain. REMEMBER THAT-

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

Ideally I plot it out! Or at the very least, I have a general idea of the overall look and just plan the next chapter.

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

I haven't, hehe. They've all been really kind..<3 And my friend gives me feedback and tips, so I always have something to work to.

For me, I just think there needs to be some good encouraging point to the comment or else the criticism could be a lot to take. I did spend the effort on writing it~

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing?

I guess, filler scenes. Whenever it feels like there's gaps left and I have to try to connect what I haven't written yet.. So, sometimes the last scenes I write are like, "ah do I have to write this.."?

Or maybe that's just what I'm working on recently hahaha xD

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

Working on Glistening for the foreseeable future~

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

Sort of! I write ideas, bits, sometimes examples of whole scenes if they get in my head, as like a possible future project and then I set it aside. Figure out my priorities!

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

I try to take a look into my writing every day - and maybe because it's been more editing-focused recently - it feels less about the number of words, and more getting the flow closer to something I like.

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

I think so. (hope so xD) I'm sure I've improved. Sometimes it seems like I used to write so much easier with faster flow. But it also means I've gotten more aware of how I write, and I want to keep getting better.

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

I think it's If You Were Gay hahahaha ahh.. season 2 when? Maybe after I buckle down on Glistening.

Chobom Timeline is always undeniably a favourite.

Oh!!! And the wonderfully co-authored Looking For Murder - is all I ever wanted of that characterisation and whole plot being brought to life that I will love forever!! I'm just happy to be a part of it.

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

hmm... I guess it would have to be It's Over Isn't It. It's my shortest one and I wrote it on a whim because I was in the angst zone following another fic (TWTAC). I'd have to say it's the least favourite just because I didn't spend very long on it, and also, angst haha.

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

I hope I'll still be around here! I don't know if I'll take a path of writing in some form. Whether it's translating... Or something to do with editing and reading. Or writing.

32. How many upvotes do you have?

Thank you the 64 upvotes across my stories ^^

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

A practical sense is having the keyboard and technology to write and save and share. Is that the easiest?

And then perhaps, just the freedom of writing anything on that page. Write the story that you yourself wanted to read. It could be anything.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

The BLOCK. Hahahaha the moment of burnout and taking a break. The moment you look at what you have and feel terrible that it doesn't have what you envisioned. Especially when it feels like there are huge gaps.

Step back, take a break, remember the joys, and keep on, keeping on~

35. Why do you write?

Because I love it. Even when I'm stuck, I'll end up writing an idea for something else. It's so dreamy to say I really love dream escape worlds... xD I just want to sit in a characters shoes and play scenes.

But also I'm lucky to have made a good start on here. It's been that long since 2019 already? At that time for this newbie writer, going into the writing side with reading, commenting and sharing was a lotttt of fun! Hehe!  I am indebted to that good memory.

I know how it feels to read something great and I know how it feels to be writing something people like, so it's a wonderful position to be in.

And I'll make that as enough from me! I don't know if I even answered the last question correctly hahaha- Let's go~ Apink 10th anniversary!!
