regarding my poor eyesight (and what should i do ;;)

umm.. so like what the title said, i have a very poor eyesight. i don't even remember how much is the 'minus' thingy ._. one of my eye's minus thingy is over than 250, and the other one is like...600? it's very poor and bad for me, a 14 years old student.

my friend told me to not use the laptop and phone for at least a week, which i can't do it since i'm kinda clingy with them ;A;
so she said that i must rest (when using the laptop), then use the laptop again, after 5 minutes i must rest again, then use the lappie, then after 5 minutes rest again, and so on.
i don't think it's going to be convenient for me. i easily lose 'imagination' when i'm making posters and idk why o.o it's like "oh i gonna put this then put that" but if i stopped for a while, i sometimes tend to forget what should i put ;;

well i was thinking to stop designing for a while after all my requests are done, but i don't think my eyesight will get better because there are fanfics, running man, school works and animes ;;A;; what should i do ._. it's hard for me to resist omg how how ._.

are there any things that i can do to at least improve my eyesight, be less clingy to my phone+laptop and also fanfics?
i want to improve my eyesight at least a bit, because i really don't want to get blind. really.
help me ;-;

I am trying to accomplish this for many reasons, and I must say it really helps my eyesight improve. Try to stray away from false info on the internet(there is too much of it) and only trust conclusive science studies and your own experience when it comes to diet. Make sure you are getting enough nutrients and staying away from all bad foods. Sugar is terrible for eyesight. Even the "good" types should be avoided since most are concentrations of their raw un-sweet counterparts. Like honey for example, is called a health food by many. In the convenient store version it's not healthy, it's basically a syrup. I have eaten raw honey comb before and it was barely sweet, still yummy. The only sugars you should be eating should come from raw fruit, but you should limit these too since sugar is always bad for eyesight. Find fruits that aren't as sweet, and eat those instead. Berries are great. Make sure you eat tons of protein from lean sources like white meat and nuts/seeds. Also try to not use glasses/contacts because they damage eyes in the long-term while helping them in the short-term. Your eyesight is constantly changing slightly all the time, therefore your ideal prescription also changes. When you don't constantly wear the "right" glasses prescription it puts a strain on your eyes, worsening them over time. Contacts are also bad, even the best ones. For people who wear them, it's advised not to use them overnight because they are actually preventing your eyes from receiving appropriate oxygen. Your whole body needs as much oxygen as it can get for optimal health/performance. Eyes are no exception. I used to wear glasses for school, but ever since I fixed up my diet there is no need. And now I'm not in school anymore, but I still only wear mine once in a blue moon. I hope you find this advice helpful, maybe someone reading his could also benefit. Good luck!

Despite what peeps say I never found screens to be that damaging to the eyes, if it is bright I would def suggest turning down the brightness to a semi-dim. You might have a little sun icon on your keyboard, if not you can change the brightness by accessing your computer settings. Try to never have it bright or too dim(to the point where you have to squint to see) both will worsen eyesight because they put an unnecessary strain on the eyes. Same thing should be done for phone. You can still use your phone and computer on dim light settings, also try to exercise outside. Exercise has been shown to improve eyesight, though minimally(not by a lot). So try to get outside more. Indirect sunlight is also supposed to heal eyes. Like for example: going out on sunny days. Of course looking directly at the sun will do damage to the eyes(cornea) and it's permanent. A cool trick I leaned of ages ago: Close your eyes then look up at the sun when it's bright, make sure your eyes are fully closed, do this for about a minute then look away, now open your eyes. It is supposed to make your vision temporarily amazing for people with average eyesight. Your vision might return to normal for that short while after you try it. It might be an "eye opening" experience for you, no pun intended. You should do this outside and when no clouds/tall buildings are blocking the sun. When you look away choose something nice to look at in advance, it could be some flowers or maybe print out a picture of your bias and bring it along(lol to make it more exciting). Don't look at a screen when you look away(like a pic on your cellphone) I don't think it has the same effect since screens are light just like sun.

I find the greatest changes in my eyesight to be dietary. Yep a good diet helps eyes. Do you know that saying "carrots are good for eyesight." I think this is a little silly since ALL raw fruits and veggies help eyesight. Eating a diet similar to our oldest ancestors should help!
