⟪ PERSONALITY ⟫
“The people who are hurt the most are the ones who smile the most.” Hana is a bubbly and friendly girl full of aegyo—she tries her best to live up to her role of being the maknae. She is clingy to her unnies and a bit whiny as well. She is probably the loudest in the group. She is dense. She also loves playing pranks on other people, but knows fully well not to cross the line. Surprisingly, she is organized with her things and likes to arrange her them into groups (like pens in one container, etc.). At first glance, people would think that she was not fit to be a part of Royal Poison, but once she steps on to the stage, her personality takes a 180-degree turn. She transforms into Ivy, a serious charismatic girl entirely different from Kim Hana. People watching would have doubts if it was still Hana performing and not some other look-alike.

⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫
Hana was from a rich and well-off family, being the only daughter of the current CEO and owner of the Hana financial group, one of the biggest and most successful financial groups in Korea. Because of being an only child, her parents wanted her to be the successor and kept pressuring and telling her to do well in her studies—to the point of forcing her to do things she didn’t want—and to be the ‘perfect daughter’. It hurt her but she couldn’t say no to her parents (the last time she did, she was slapped across the face). She always cheers herself up by saying that her parents do that because they love her. She was once studying in a private school but got home-schooled after she became best friends with Lee Aerin, the daughter of an enemy of her parents, when she was in 6th grade. Those years, she became quiet and aloof. The only time she showed her true self was when she met EXO. She was so in love with them that she became a sasaeng fan, making her neglect her studies. Her parents furiously scolded and shouted at her afterwards, causing her to have a nervous breakdown due to all the feelings inside of her that she tried to contain. Due to the incident, her parents gave her freedom for a while (they went overseas, anyway) and during that time, she became a trainee. She wasn’t bothered by her parents again… hopefully even after she debuted.

⟪ TRAINEE LIFE⟫
The first reason why she became a trainee was to see EXO, but after a few weeks, she realized that her passion and determination wasn’t because of her urge to see them, but because she really wanted to be an idol—something that was a first in her life. She auditioned herself and got accepted. She trained only for 4 months (with the help of her photographic memory; like in memorizing dance moves), just like Chen and Baekhyun.

Hana met Chen back when she was still a sasaeng. When EXO arrived at the airport, she went to Chen to link arms with him. She just let go when the security forced her to. Needless to say, Chen was creeped out. So imagine his reaction when he came across Hana during her trainee days. And somehow coincidentally, they always seem to bump into each other. They gradually became close when he realized how much they had in common (and when he finally believed that Hana wasn’t a sasaeng anymore). They sympathized with each other (with his dancing and her rapping); they both liked pranking and trolling; they both liked pigging out on snacks; they both even trained for 4 months before debuting. Chen was the one who started calling Hana ‘Princess’ after he knew about her family. And Hana was glad that he didn’t judge her. It made her fall in love even more—her bias is still Chen, after all (though afterwards she became confused with her feelings). Their conversations are full of teasing and saying rude stuff about each other (Hana likes to blackmail Chen with the info she got back when she was a sasaeng) but even though that was the case, they care for each other a lot.

⟪ RELATIONSHIP ⟫ Hana and D.O. met in the mall (but D.O. has seen her already in SM). Hana was just minding her own business when she came across D.O. who was trying his best to avoid the fans in the vicinity. Unfortunately, a fan recognized him. The fan was interrogating D.O. when Hana came to the rescue, calling D.O. her older brother. D.O. was grateful so he decided to treat Hana in a cake shop. Hana was ecstatic and during that time D.O. found her cute. After the many times that they hang out with each other, he gradually started to have feelings for her. One day he confessed by asking Hana if she likes him. She said yes because he was one of her best friends and she treats him as an older brother. He was crestfallen. But he still likes Hana and told himself that he would never give up.
