PERSONALITY —
Minyoung is someone who is extremely brave. She can easily face her fears in the eye without even flinching, Heck, she'd just give you a look even when your fist is just an inch away from her face. However, there was a price that came with her bravery which cannot be considered good nor bad. She could sacrifice her everything just so long as her loved one is safe and happy. For example, if both herself and her best friend fell in love with the same guy, she'd give him up to her because she simply cannot stand watching her loved ones get hurt. Minyoung is also rather responsible, a trait she inherited from her father who was a chairman of their family's company. She has to finish a task she has been entrust otherwise, she would find it difficult to rest. Her responsible trait has sometimes cost her her well-needed rest and has sometimes caused her to push herself over her limits. She is also someone who is smart both street-wise and academic-wise. She would never wander around dangerous streets for fun and she wasn't the type to just blindly follow someone nor was she gullible and naive. She was good in telling when someone is lying, call it her sixth sense. She often tries to be independant because she hates having to depend on someone. To her, it feels like she was merely being a burden, a heavy rock sticking itself to someone so everything she has to do or does, she tries to do it herself and if she fails, she'll try again and again. However, that too, comes with a price as because of her prideful-ness, she hates asking someone for help even when she really needs it. She would only ask someone if she really doesn't have a choice. Minyoung despite being prideful, is actually someone who is kind and loving on the inside. She would never stand by and watch someone innocent get hurt. Minyoung however, would never tell someone that she loves them because she finds it hard to express herself in that kind of way so she lets her actions do the speaking instead. Minyoung was born on December 25, 1994 in a hospital in New Brunswick, Canada to a loving couple. She was brought up by them uneventfully until she reached the age of 13. Her mother had gotten pregnant again and Minyoung was excited to have a little sibling since all this time, she'd been the only child. It was also at that age that she found out about her parents' 'past' involvement in the mafia world though at that time it made little to no sense to her since she was still young. However, not long after her mother reached her 4th month, her mother got herself into a sudden car accident- or at least, that was what her father had told her. Fortunately, her mother survived but her little sibling was taken away before she could even meet him, or her. Her mother fell into a state of depression and wouldn't leave the room. Minyoung tried everything she could think of to see her mother smile and to let her mother finally look at her again but it all failed. Her mother simply wouldn't even send her a single glance. Now this made Minyoung feel really upset and hurt. Every time her mother pushed her away, she received a stab in the heart- theoretically speaking but the young girl never gave up. Instead, she tried and tried, failing each and every time. Slowly, she became numb to all the pain and gave up. With that, her bond with her mother shattered into pieces.
At the age of 13, due to her mother's constant depression, her father took the excuse of wanting to expand his company over to China as an excuse to move the family to Beijing. There, her mother gradually got better and learnt to let go. She apologized to Minyoung and tried hard to regain her trust and rebuild the bond. Once everything was alright and her father's company in Beijing was stable again, he moved them over to Seoul where he built yet another building there. This time, he promised her that they would stay there for good which was fulfilled. There, she met Kim Jinwoo whom she'd never imagine would become someone important to her in the future since at that time, she'd hated him due to his cheekiness. At the age of 17, she left for Canada again by herself to further her studies in music as that was pretty much what she wanted to do. She majored in saxophone and minored in piano but she also knew how to play the guitar and the drum set. She was also taking a course in business since she knew she'd be the one to inherit the company since she was the only child.
When she got back from university during spring break on the 3rd year, she'd found crowds of people gathering in front of her residence.
"W-What's going on?" Somehow, she had a bad feeling about it. The person she'd asked shook her head and just pointed at the mansion. Drawing in a deep breath, she took heavy steps towards her home. As she grew closer and closer to her home, she'd caught sight of the yellow police tapes all over. A warning bell rang in her head but she paid it no heed. That is, until she saw some people rolling out her parents on stretchers.
"Mother! Father!" She ran up to them. Her mother was unconscious already while her father weakly gazed at her.
"Minyoung.. You're back.." His voice was soft. "We're..sorry for having to leave you first.." He muttered as he secretly handed her a piece of paper that felt heavy to the hands. That very night, her parents passed away. For weeks, Minyoung was at a loss on what to do. She'd inherited her parents' everything from the company to the house itself and since she was old enough to live by herself, she did just that. A few weeks later, she'd decided that she had enough of moping around and decided to head on over to the company to claim her position as chairwoman but what she was greeted with was something completely unexpected.
When Minyoung had arrived at the company, she was completely shocked to see how everyone paid little to no heed to her when she was their new boss. Another warning bell rang in her head but once again, she paid it no heed as she headed straight to her new office. To her surprise, there was someone else in the room.
"Jinwoo oppa?! What are you doing here?!" She'd asked out of shock.
"I'm the CEO of the company." was the male's answer. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"What do you mean? This is my parents' company..so..I should be the one in charge around here." She muttered but the male merely shrugged, irking her even more. Nevertheless, she sat straight down on the chair of her office and started sorting through the files, ignoring the other person. During the entire time she was there, she'd expected him to do all sorts of stupid things just like he did when they were but children. However, much to her surprise, he didn't. Instead, he became the other CEO and took charge of things in the departments she wasn't concentration on instead. It was as though there was now a barrier between the two of them.

Minyoung carried on with her life like normal and did her normal routine which included heading to the company before heading home at night. During weekends, she'd head to cafes and malls or she'd head to her campus's music room to continue a little bit of her studying since she was now studying in university in South Korea.

Before he could make another move however, a gunshot was heard and the next thing he knew, Minyoung was falling to the floor. Quick as lightning, he caught her and gently lowered her with her in his arms. She was smiling angelically at him. "Just don't forget me.." She muttered. "If you find someone new, make sure she's not as pretty as I am and not kinder than me.. I don't want you to forget me.." He was in tears. "I love you, Jinwoo-ah.." That did it.. He looked up and glared at the direction of the door where his rival was. His rival was smirking as he blew on his gun before he left. When he felt the girl in his arms go limp, he cried out loud. Fortunately, help arrived quickly and she was saved. Luckily, she survived and he later found out that she was no longer hunted by his gang and that it was in fact a move that his rival pulled on purpose.
Jinwoo made the decision to leave the mafia world and so he did. He stayed by Minyoung's side and together, they had a happy ending.
