Seo Jin has a somewhat intimidating image. That might be because whenever he's by himself he has a serious expression on his face. This also makes him seem somewhat cold. However that completely changes once they talk to him (Or he introduces himself which is most of the time). He himself can tell when people want to talk to him even though they're intimidated by his initial appearance. Quite Contrary to his image, he is caring towards those younger then him. As well as the people he actually approach him. However one has to be careful letting him become friends with you. The reason is because you'll likely be his new "target" for his pranks once you become close enough to him. Ideal types should not be told to him unless you want him to make an "awkward" encounter with them. Seo Jin is really fun loving when it comes interacting with people. Any attempts to make things awkward with him will be taken as a challenge and you may not want that.

 

"Indecisive and Jealous!" ~  He gets Jealous fairly easy when it comes to who he's into. Well easily wouldn't quite be the word. Sometimes he knows it's just inside his brain. But when he knows he's jealous he doesn't exactly know what to do. One part of him wants respect her privacy and just let things be. But the other part just wants to spazz about and just tell her. Even though that wouldn't help him at all. So he just ends up acting somewhat cold towards her in order to "detach".

 

"Considerate yet Critical" ~ He is very willing to help out his hoobaes out with whatever. However while his advice can be good sometimes it can also be very critical which could hurt some feelings if taken to heart. If he's lucky they'll take it constructively and they grow or they take it to heart and he'll immediately try to apologize (potential with food).

Background:

Seo Jin lived a relatively normal life going to school and studying. He didn't discover his love for music until very late in his high school life. This occurred when he was in his second to last year of high school when he went on an exchange program to America. This made him pick up on English in order to communicate around there. However he still studied like any other korean student. He acknowledged his love for music but he didn't believe he could make as a career. However his father knew about his son's love for music and encouraged him to go for it. With advice and encouragement from his family he went forth. He made up his lack of major talent with pure hard work and dedication. Thus he was able to make it into core contents as Trainee.

Trainee life for him was mostly intense and unrewarding for him. He would be the first one to practice and the last one to go back to the dorm. However this didn't mean he didn't enjoy it. He ended up becoming friends with another trainee at the time, Hahm Eunjung. They became close friends after many training and texting sessions. He would later leave core contents because he believed he was wasting their time as well as Eunjung's. However he got scouted by STAR a few months later. The timing was perfect because he started to regret his choice so he signed on right away.

Personality:

Eunjung: Eunjung is a very friendly and easy going girl. She can be very calm and understanding making her enjoyable company. She doesn't get angry easily, but sometimes she can be a bit gullible which Seo Jin enjoys because it helps with his pranks. However as a close friend he only does that to lighten the mood and get rid of stress. She can be somewhat of a clean freak but only when it usually comes to her own room. Where she'll spend at least twenty minutes trying to find the perfect position for an object.

She is somewhat the mother of her group always looking out for the people in her group. She also looks out for Seo Jin in the same manner as an older sister. Seo Jin both enjoys this and hates it at the same time. Her optimism is what cause Seo Jin to stay for a year because he believed her and her words.

Eunjung is also prone to falling asleep almost anywhere. Which makes for interesting situations. Seo Jin did try to take her back to her dorm once. However he forgot that it was a girls only dorm. He's never told her that story or any subsequent story involving her falling asleep.

 

Jiyeon: Jiyeon is somewhat similar to Seo Jin in some ways. Her image makes her appear to have a haughty disposition. While in reality she is feisty, cute and fun. She is easily able to keep up with his prank antics. In her group she is also the one who does pranks on her unnies. She is also a very quick learner when it comes to practicals (Much to Seo Jin's chargrin). However he beats her when it comes to theory work.

Jiyeon also likes to eat food to the point she beats Seo Jin in an eating contest much to his disbelief. She also seems to never gain weight from considering he's heard female trainees complain about dieting and such. She also has lots of energy compared to Seo Jin but he claims it's because she's younger then him.

 

How you met:

Eunjung: He met her when they we're both trainees. She was the one to approach him first which surprised him. He later would train with her any chance he could eventually getting her phone number. Which developed into a close friendship.

Jiyeon: She had heard about him from Eunjung and saw him when he tried to take Eunjung back to her dorm. She met Seo Jin when he came to their debut to cheer Eunjung on and it developed from there.

Interactions:

Eunjung: He used to text her quite frequently during his trainee days with her. He would also get her to laugh as much as he can without being obvious because he likes her laugh and smile. However after he left Core Contents he texted her less guessing she would need to focus on training. However he would meet her for coffee when she was free. The interactions together are like normal friends just with more contact (From Seo Jin's end). However his contact with her lessened even more when he signed with STAR. It was because he wanted to make a surprise when he debuted. That and he didn't tell her why he left in the first place. He just claimed he hadn't found his calling yet.

He's thought about telling her about his attraction to her but thought otherwise when he saw all the other guys vying for her (Potential another reason why he left). So she is somewhat oblivious to the fact he likes her. Which leads to a few interesting developments all around when he debuts. Eunjung started to appear on We got married in early april which made him jealous. Which again made him text and hang out with her less claiming that he just had a busy schedule. Not that she had much time to hang out with him with filming.

Jiyeon: Around this time he began to hang out with Jiyeon who told him about Eunjung being on we got married. She didn't realise Seo Jin's feeling towards Eunjung when she told him. But she quickly put it together. In an effort to apologize in a way she started to hang out with him considering Eunjung was busy and everyone else is usually busy when she wants to hangout. There relationship quickly developed from there into playfully teasing each other and joking about liking each other. (Use this as reference if you like)

 

Conclusion: semi-conclusion more like drama fodder: Eunjung questions why Seo Jin been acting somewhat distance and cold. To which he'll keep trying to dodge answering the question. Until he eventually confesses in a burst of anger causing him to leave on his bike. Jiyeon is also left to question her feelings.
