I was kinda shock - but not so much - when I first heard about that from my friend. They were working really hard, probably too much.... Never thought it would go that far.

It seems another lawsuit has been filed for a contract nullification in the K-Pop world, as a report has surfaced claiming that B.A.P has filed against their agency TS Entertainment.

According to an exclusive by Xsports News, all 6 members filed to nullify their contract. It's said their application for the suit was submitted on the 26th at the Seoul Court.

It has also been revealed that that the contract was designed to only be beneficial to the agency and disadvantageous to the members. In addition to the length of the contract, the boys are said to have only received 18,000,000 KRW (~ 16,000 USD) per member for the 3 years that they've been active.

Despite the unfair conditions, the boys have released a total of 11 albums and promoted endlessly all over the world, even until the point that their health deteriorated.

In response to this report, T.S. Entertainment has revealed that they are looking into confirming the matter and will be releasing an official statement soon.

[X-Sports News = Han Ingu reporter] All six members of B.A.P are filing a lawsuit to nullify their contracts with their company. According to the law offices, the B.A.P. members filed the lawsuit against TS Entertainment at the western Seoul law offices on the 26th of this month.

B.A.P.’s exclusive contracts with their company were formed in March of 2011, they’re taking the position that their contracts were only beneficial to their company and have been nothing but unfair to the members.

Their contracts’ clause stating that their contract period would last a minimum of seven years from their first album (rather than the date they signed their contract) is much longer than comparable contracts from other companies. Also their statement claims that the contracts do not follow the laws in place protecting the civil rights, explicit concent, right to personal privacy, etc. of entertainers from their companies.

It also includes a statement claiming the division of their income is only beneficial to the company, and they have had to deal with clauses putting them at a disadvantage in case of cancelling the contract or damages to the company.

Despite their unfair contract, since their debut in January of 2012 B.A.P. has released a total of 11 different albums and held concerts all around the world in Korea, Japan, China and even as far away as Mexico, and although the members have dealt with declining health have done their best for their fans.

Although we (the reporter) have attempted contact with TS to hear their side of the story, we have not been successful.

Just after the news of B.A.P filing a lawsuit to nullify their contract, TS Entertainment has released their official response to this shocking news.

The agency wrote,

"Hello, this is TS Entertainment.

We are here to deliver our official position regarding B.A.P's contract nullification lawsuit that has been reported this afternoon.

All this while, TS Entertainment has tried our best to support the various activities of our artist B.A.P and strived to meet our mutual goals. And like we revealed back on October 28, all their schedules had been cancelled to give them rest as we had made the protection of our artist our priority out of mutual consideration and trust.

And while in the midst of in talks about their future activities, we learned of the sudden lawsuit through news articles.

Currently TS Entertainment is in the process of trying to figure out the details and the truth of the matter. However, we wanted to make clear that there is no such thing as a 'slave contract' or 'unfair contract conditions' in our contracts, and we have never given them unfair, one-sided treatment.

We will take steps to confirm the matter regarding this lawsuit, and respond in an official manner.

We once again convey our sorry hearts for causing concern to all who love TS Entertainment and its artists.

Thank you."

In all honesty, I think TS is sugarcoating the whole thing. I think it would be a great idea for BAP to nullify their contracts, especially when they do it united as they do. They are a collectable group of idols with an amazing fanbase both nationally as well as internationally. Any of the other agencies should be stupid not to want them.
Personally I hope they get to choose one of the smaller companies such as Cube or Jelly Fish where it isn't all business for the companies. They may need a year off the charts with resting and refinding themselves in a new entertainment, but I really don't think it's the last we've heard from them even if they don't stay with TS
