PERSONALITY » Sarang seems like she is cold, arrogant, and selfish to thode who first meet her. Most think she she is disinterested in people but really she is just to shy to talk first so she might space out to occupy silent moments. It takes her alot of mental prep to start a conversation with most because she is not use to sharing her space and time with others. She grew up around adults, and never socialized outside of school so spreaking with people her age is a bit difficult for her. She doesn't like when people put themselves down are self pitying, beacause she feels likes its a waste of time. This causes her to often get frustrated with others and come off as rude. Because her lack of being able express herself vocally she tries use her pgysical intentions such as playful hitting and banter with others. Since her mother was painfully honest with her since she was young, Sarang has picked up that trait as well. She says things a bit too straight forward which most people think she is disrespecting others, or that she is cocky. To avoid this problem she triess not to talk to people unless they are close to her. Since she takes others words and actions seriously, this sometimes make her feel upset or that she has done something wrong. So she will bottle it up and try to go about things differently which make people think she is closing herself off from people.

Being with people 24/7 and sharing her career with her members makes her feel a bit off and nervous that they won't like her. However she enjoys their company and likes to just find a quiet place and observe their interactions. Sarang likes taking on projects, which seems to pile on and seems to make her attention span flit to one thing to an other. She needs someone to reign in her ideas and make sure that she's not juggling to many things or she will be spread thin. She takes on tasks as an indirect way to show her fondness for others. This brings up the subject of her waiting until last minute if she is not motivated. An example is her doing her chores late while everyone is sleeping so that she wont get distracted by others. She dislikes chores and often playfully whine to others to make them guilty for making her do the tasks, but will do them anyway. Once someone has gotten to know her they notice her little quirks like her singing off key to songs, or her displaying ssanti. By the time she is comfortable with people they forget was once a shy person.
On stage her demeanor changes. She is no longer timid in expressing her words and happily puts on her facade. She wants to convey each part and song given to her and show that each of their songs has meanings. At frist she was reluctant at her concept YG had given her. Since Sm had played on her cute eye smile and shy demeanor she potrayed a sweet girl growing up in the industry. When YG got a hold of her they wanted to give her a more mature look. To break her out her shell and make her a confident rapper, they tried this concept with her so she would show more emotions. Sarang is somewhat thankful because the concept represents a person she would like to be in a sense. She doesn't want to necesarily be a tough female who break heart, and play with others, but to have the confidence the "tough side of her has, and the ability to talk to others like her "flirtatious" side has. She doesn't realize that she already has these elements, but she just needs to realise this herself.

BACKGROUND » At age 5 Sarang's family moved to New York. There she grew a passion for rapping. She would constantly put Tiger T and Outsider songs on replay and try to learn all the verses. She wanted to move people with her rap just as much as someone singing could do. She loved to dance and fell for the hip hop scene. She lived in an apartment with her parents, and had a quiet life. School was uneventful and she often slept in her classes since she was a year ahead, but was put in the grade age wise she suppose to be in. At home she didn't really see her parents until dinner time and it was very silent. She did covers of kpop raps and eventually a friend saw them and posted it on you tube. She got views,but this didn't make Sarang confident in her skills She felt like she was lacking something her idols had.

Her parents divorced when she was 12 and her mother and herself moved to Puerto Rico. She had a hard time adapting,because she never lived there, and although she was taught the language the customs were unfamilar to her. Shot complaining and occupying time with herself. However she stayed inside the house with her babysitters being her only source of company. She grew up tp be a bit serious such as not complaining and occupying her time. She had visited her father during once school was over. Seeing it as a chance, Sarang auditioned for SM while on summer vacation visiting her father who lived in Korea after the seperation. While staying their Sarang got into the underground scene where she met her bestfriend KittiB. During her trainee days she try to continue her underground adventures.
TRAINING » At the age of 15 she was casted into SM. Sarang was tone deaf, and the company had focused on trying to improve her singing. She has improved alot, but her breath is somewhat short at times. After being with SM Sarang was switched to YG for a male singer. She has been a trainee in total of 5 years.
