Taeyeon and Tiffany had a long list of mishaps, misconceptions and ups trailing along behind them. But their story was one for the books. Passionate and angry, lost and hopless. In their late twenties they sit down and think back on how their relationship panned out over the years. From being utterly in love to hating each other’s guts. Yet no matter how messed up they seemed together, they were always even messier apart.

“The first year was nice.” Taeyeon looked over at Tiffany, “Don’t you think?”

          “Yeah it was nice.” Tiffany smiled, grabbing her hand.

          “How so?” Dr. Bennett questioned.

          “Well, it was…” Taeyeon trailed off.

          “It was a rush.” Tiffany finished Taeyeon’s sentence. “It was new.”

          “Yeah.” Taeyeon her lips. “It was brand new. I don’t think I’ve ever felt that way, you know? It was an adrenaline rush 24/7 with her. Secret hook ups in Tiffany’s dads old Ford mustang. Lying to our parents.” Taeyeon laughed.

          “That was something you enjoyed?” Dr. Bennett looked at her.

          “Don’t get me wrong,” Taeyeon said, “I never really enjoyed lying to my parents, thinking about it now it seems kind of messed up. But back then we were so out of touched with morals, or whatever you wanna call it—that all we thought about, or at least me, all Ithought about was what lie I was going to come up with next, so I could sneak out and make out with my girlfriend.” She chuckled, “Although each lie I told I knew it was just beginning to pile up into something that I wasn’t going to be able to get myself out of later.”

          “So in a way, you knew you were building yourself up just to fall?”

          “In a way I was, you can say, digging my own grave, little by little. The higher I went, the longer the fall down was gonna be I guess.” Tiffany stared at her from the side as she talked. “But... I thought it was worth it.”
