a person that sits in her own little corner and a girl that tends to her own misunderstandings - that is all of a creature named lim gyeoul. though, to say that she is only a lonesome negative-nancy would be a horribly issued understatement, there's more to her stoic face than one would think. sadly, those "more to's" are likely to be more avoided than wanted, being said that she isn't someone who's easy to approach (unless you whimsically find a way to do so). rather, gyeoul is someone who doesn't go out of her way to make friends, or go out of her way to help another person unless fuRther provoked. she is withdrawn: will only speak when spoken to, will only answer when asked and will often hide under the safety of blankets. she is someone who prefers to distant herself in order to keep out of trouble and finds that if she is unintERrested in anyway, will not be bothered to get invoLved. instead she becomes a bystander. one that observes in a manner of slightLy placid expressions, and will often makes poor excuses in order to initiate an escape.
oddly, people tend to call her an open book because they think her expressions are obvious to tell. but, that is not the case. for you see, this book has a peculiar cover and it's contents are never in proper order. for all we know, that look of so-called "boredom" is due to a foul smell and not because she thinks humans are ignorant people (although, at times they are). this obvious misconception doesn't bother gyeoul in any way, though. she's never been willing to let others understand her, so she why would she have started now? in truth, her facial appearance is often due to borEDom, but along with the lack of speech, she is left unable to practice expressing herself. if words are to ever surface, they are normally not very positive ones to tell. most of the time, they are also far from being kind; because she isn't much of a chatty-cathy, gyeoul doesn't find any reason to lie when stating her opinions - though she hardly has any. she is blunt to the point of insulting without even realizing it. of course, that is never her motive. she just wants to be honest.
as to why she heavily isolates herself is because she is not much of a happy person; it's not to say that others are constantly avoiding her, but vise-versa. i mean, what's so fun about a gloomy person like her? nothing much, really. she has a habit of thinking of the worst possible outcomes, and despite what people say about happy endings, she can never find a reason to believe in them. "they don't always happen," is an answer she seems to speak of a lot because she is a person that needs to see it to believe it. she has also been misguided too many times to really know what she's doing in her life. in a sense, she is lost and can't find an answer to her own problems. as a person who doesn't do what she doesn't know, she is left wandering around lifelessly trying to figure a way out of her boring- life, and a way to fill up the empty space within her. honestly, gyeoul just wants to be like everyone else: bearing feelings that they are free to share with one another. she's tired of being so dull and dejected, but has too much pride to ever ask for help. really, it's the last thing she'd ask for.

gyeoul didn't have a bad childhood in particular. she grew up living a somewhat wealthy background where everything was basically done for her. in the mornings, the nurses would wake her, the nurses would dress her and the nurses would feed her breakfast at a pretty dining table. afterwards it was straight to studies. just studies and nothing more. playing around wasn't much of an option when there were only ever books at home and an older brother that fled home early. there also wasn't much to do when her parents were hardly ever home. if they were, there was never anything good about them being there. they were either yelling at each other over stupid, irrelevant topics or hiding in their sepeRate rooms without another word. she was never that close with her parents because of that, not that she ever complained. gyeoul got what she wanted, when she wanted it - as long as she was a good girl. most of the time, she was. gyeoul did well in school, and obeyed every command her parents asked of her. gyeoul just stopped asking for things a long time ago and found that being good didn't always bring an award. money couldn't buy her parent's affection. eventually, her parents filed for a divorce after realizing they would never be happy together. gyeoul was only 9 when it happened and she doesn't really remember being sad about it. her father later moved out of donghwa while gyeoul and her mother left the house to start anew. there were no more nurses, no more fancy-smanshies. it was just gyeoul and her mother. that was all.

she's currently attending the same university as the squad and although she's majoring in literature, she still doesn't know what she's going to pursue in life.

the squad has made such an impact on gyeoul's life that she cannot imagine living a life without them. if she hadn't been brought into the group by a particular girl named yoonji, she would basically have no one. she is thankful to have people to be around with, although she is always just sitting and watching. the group doesn't seem to buy her about it unless it's about, maybe, something to eat. "eyy, don't just shrug. what do you wanna eat today?" "whatever you guys want." "oh my gosh, gyeoul". so to say, gyeoul is quite loyal to these people considering the way they've affected her; she'll basically follow through with anything they say just so she doesn't upset them. she'd hate to see them leave her. gyeoul may not be super close-close with anyone in the group, but she does have a soft spot for yoonji simply because she's cheerful and bubbly. she thinks she likes yoonji that way because she feels a sense of love when around her - and perhaps because yoonji's a girl gyeoul would have loved to be WHICH MAKES HER A LITTLE ATTACHED. she wishes she could be like yoonji and open up to them a little more.

welcome to the white rose's questioning facility. to start off the interview, we'd like to ask how you found out who your conscience or persona was.
"..." (she stares at the interviewer quietly.) "my mother told me i was different. but. uhm. the voice- i mean, my conscience was starting to hint that he wasn't just a thing in my head. i also read through some books about it and.. yeah. i don't know. it just happened."
who is your conscience? what kind of things does your conscience tell you?
"the boogie man-" (she pauses, mumbling to herself "why does that even matter? it's not like the know you personally-") "sorry. pitch black, i mean." (she scratches her head, eyes glancing around). "he talks a lot.. frequently. that's for sure. and he likes to tell me about all these things i could do. he acts like the devil sitting on your shoulder, except i don't have an angel to push him away?.. i don't like listening to him, though. i hardly ever. he never has any good ideas." (gyeoul smooths down her hair.) "he wanted me to kill a girl once."
how long have you known your conscience was a so-called, "fairytale character"?
"not that long ago. i found that out, maybe, two? three months ago? though i never considered him to be one of those 'fairytale characters' to begin with.. more like, he was a reject that came looking for something fun to do. but, i guess he found me instead." (she smiles weakly, almost creepily.)
how close are you to the other saviors?
"close enough to know them, i guess. been with them since we were young. however, i can't really say we're distant either.." (gyeoul fidgets with her hands.) "granted, there are some i'm relatively differenTED from, but there's not much i can do about that. sadly."
out of a rank of five, what is your level of skill with your weapon?
"i'd say maybe a two?.. i haven't been able to work with it. i didn't even know i had powers, up until recently. it's a little difficult to get the hang of- they're, uh, kind of tied with my emotions and that's not something i like toggling with."
are you willing to risk your life for the sake of your world and ours?
"there are people in this world who have lots to live for." (she looks up, staring firmly.) "so, yes."

アイヂウルタウプ : ideal type。 he doesn't have to all smiles and joyous laughter. honestly, she's fine with or without that. she just needs someone to talk with, or at least be at her side when she needs it. a person that can read her mind, tell how she's feeling with just the look in her eyes, and a person to show that life isn't so bad. love doesn't even matter. if they're just friends or aCquaintances - that's fine, too.

インツラクション : interactions。 before the door is even in way of existance, gyeoul and him know almost nothing about each other. they usually chat when they are with the group. if they're ever with one another, though, they just sit in awkwardness, just coughing to fill up the space. it isn't until the door is discovered do they begin to depend on one another as they are with everyone else. out of the sheer need to, oh i don't know, save the world, they work up the better courage to grow some sort of a bond.
リラションシプ : type of relationship。 since they are only starting to talk to each other, they're not anything near skip-ship or joking around. it's more like, comfortable silences now, rather than awkward ones. they're learning more about one another, bit by bit by talking things out or staring at stars - i mean, who doesn't like stars? they're also not really sure if they ever have feelings for each other. but, they can tell there's some sort of a connection there. a small spark for sure.
プログレス : progress。 the progress has been pretty slow. they start out knowing nothing about one another, other than names and a smidge of what their life has been like. they later start forming a bond when they learn they like some of the same things and learn they enjoy the other's presence. then feelings come, and they're all like "his smile is pretty" "god was she always like this?", but things start to happen because feelings are dumb and troublesome; hope begins to fall and and for some reason they're back to strangers again, ignoring what they were (maybe an argument broke out, idk). GYEOUL ESPECIALLY DENIES WHAT SHE FEELS BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T WANNA HURT HERSELF. through dier consiquences though, someone is bound to confess - or maybe CHICKEN OUT IN THE END.
