Stuff outside AFF I recommend Part 2 (This time, more organized.)

I'm bored. I feel like sharing stuff I like. You guys will probably hate most of these recommendations, since I have a weird taste, but hey, I still feel good for sharing. :)

MOVIES

Kill Bill Volumes 1 and 2

It's kinda obvious to say that Tarantino is one of the best directors out there, he never disappointed me, and he certainly didn't disappoint me with this movie. I watched it for the first when I was younger (with my mom - it was a bad idea) on TV, and because of its WILDLY violent nature, I had to watch it again when I was older to really enjoy it and understand that the scenes were out of order. My two favourite scenes are the martial art training one and the other one where she gets buried alive. (SPOILERS!). For people who don't like violence and awesome fight scenes (the one with the crazy japanese college girl is EPIC.), I would not recommend it. :)

Cornetto Trilogy

I only got to know this movie because of another movie (that I will mention later) made by the same director. His name is Edgar Wright, and he, just like Quentin Tarantino, has a very distinct style of writing and directing movies, and his style is very much present in the Cornetto Trilogy. The three movies have nothing to do with eachother when it comes to plot/location, although they all share two (HILARIOUS) actors: Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. I'm going to tell the story of the three movies, but I do warn you to pay VERY CLOSE ATTENTION to the details that are shown throughout the movie. Edgar Wright is SO good with Easter Eggs and placing hints here and there in a very funny way. My favourite movie out of all three has to be Hot Fuzz. Favourite scene: The whole thing.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World

Also by written (I think) and directed by Edgar Wright, it's SO FUN to watch and SO funny! It's based on a comic book that I don't even know but the plot is not complicated to follow. It's pretty simple actually: this guy has a crush on this girl, but the girl has lots of ex-boyfriends that he has to defeat (for some reason) so he can date her. Simple for us to understand, difficult for him to execute. Favourite Scene: All the ones with the gay roommate, SPECIALLY the one where the movie turns into a cliché sitcom.

The Way Home

This movie will MAKE YOU CRY. You have been warned!! I wish I had a grandma like her... *sniff* No, I'm joking, my grandma is perfect, I don't need someone else. But the movie is still very very sad. I think it did good in Korea's movie theatres, so it had to be good! :D

9

That's the title. 9. Why? Because it's the name of the main character. :) He's cute. It's an animated movie, has great visuals and characters (I like the girl and the big dude) and awesome action!

Spider-Man 1 and 2 (Sam Raimi Trilogy) - for the ones with little brothers and sisters!

Ok, as much as I hate people who go "The original is soooooo much better", I will have to be on their side when it comes to Spider Man.  If you have a little brother who like Spider-man and they weren't old enough when the first spider-man trilogy came out, SHOW THEM THE EARLIER VERSION, not the most recent one. I HATE when writers and directors make kids' idols "dark and troubled" just to get more audience. I don't care about the fancy special effects they put in the new spider man, I confess I was kinda weirded out when they said there was going to be a new spider man, when the original trilogy was already GREAT. I am not saying that Sam Raimi's spider man is better for no reason. IT IS really better. The first Peter Parker is better because he's nerdy, not the typically handsome guy, he's VERY awkward around girls. The first villains were SO MUCH BETTER. WHO THE HELL remembers the lizard guy?? Electro?? DOC OCK WAS SO MUCH BETTER!!! AND Green Goblin!!!!! They were so memorable and cartoon-y!! The action and special effects might have gotten better with time, I confess, and the love interest is a bit less annoying and helpless, but I still think the original is much more well-written, enjoyable and awesome. My favourite out of all three movies is the second one with Doctor Octopus

TV Series

Agents Of Shield

Ok so... Agents of Shield isn't the most mind-blowing TV show out there. The first episodes were pretty corny, I hated the main character, I only watched it because of Coulson (Who is motherflipping awesome!!), BUT it did pick up its pace mid-season! I still haven't watched the second season, and I don't plan to UNTIL they realease officially on a TV channel in my country. I don't like watching stuff on a laptop. It's so smaaaall and it makes my eyes hurt!! Best Part: Whenever Nick Fury shows up, HELL YEEEEAAAH.

Pushing Daisies

I was veeery skeptical about putting this in the list because... this is a series that truly marked my early teenage years, because it made me feel like being quirky is not a bad thing. I used to watch it with my mom (she liked it too) and I used to never tell people that I like it, because I'm scared they will like it too. I know, it's a selfish thing to do, but it was just such a good tv show, I thought it was made just for me or something!! I'm crazy... Anyways, It's very entertaining, VERY colorful (seriously, the sets are amazing) the plots are so cute and ridiculous at the same time, and Lee Pace is SUCH a cutie. Did I mention he is in my oppinion THE most handsome actor in Hollywood history? I'm serious. So the plot is about this guy (Lee Pace) that discovers that he can bring people back to life with one touch, but with a second touch, he can kill that same person - one touch, ressurection; second touch, permanent "re-death". When he's all grown up and working in an adorable pie store, he finds out his childhood girlfriend (who is played by this girl who I COULD SWEAR was Zooey Deschannel, but isn't.) is dead. He eventually brings her back to life, but, obviously, can't touch her again EVER, or she'll die for real. Best Part: Lee Pace's smile. oh gosh. Y_Y

Smallville

Everyone has probably watched this one... I'm gonna skip it. Joking, I won't.

If people now watch Smallville, they're gonna think it's the lamest thing EVER. It was the 2000's, the characters dressed according to their "future costumes" which was so "Power Rangers"-y but hey, after a few seasons, it got SO great. In this show, we got one of the best Lex Luthor portrayals we'll ever get (I am looking at you Zombieland Guy. I'm looking at you. *whispers* You better do a good job in BatmanvSuperman or I will murder you. Don't you freaking ruin it, BOY.) The only frustrating part is knowing that Chloe and Clark won't be together. :( But hey, we had justice league in there, so I'm happy with that!
