I forgot to save my drawing, nearly flipped a table....

There I was, minding my own business when I notice, "Oh dear! My laptop has ceased functioning properly! I must restart it!"

So I restarted it.

But I forgot that I hadn't finished, and had forgetten to save, a picture that I was working on.

.....................

I literally screamed, and my roommate thought I was having a mental breakdown (I was)

Do you know how hard that picture was? And it's for one of my classes tomorrow, but we were setting goals for the next class, and I said I'd draw a full picture, because I hadn't drawn anything for like the past 2 weeks. A few months ago, I had drawn a picture of a ballerina on a pedestal in my sketchbook (An idea I had gotten after continuously listening to SHINee's Orgel -the song is so creepy but so wonderful at the same time-). I decided to draw the same picture using the drawing programs that I have on my laptop, so that I could go into more detail with it, add color, and make a cool design out of it.

I was so close to being finished. I had finished shading in the body, as well as drawing in the hair and adding color to the lips and adding detail to the hands. I had even added the base layer to the dress. Just all of that took me close to 3 hours. I was determined to make this my greatest picture. It was going to be perfect. But then homework got in the way and I no longer had time to work on it, so I simply minimized the drawing and did my work. I didn't save it, because when you save it, it saves as one layer, and I needed to keep all of the layers separated.

I was so close to being done. I just needed to add the detail to the dress and fill in the background, and add the pedestal. I had estimated that it would have taken me at most an hour to finish. It was going to be absolutely perfect.

Then I stupidly restarted my laptop....................................

May I just say, that I wanted nothing more than to bash my head against the cement wall that I am currently leaning against. I didn't do so for two reasons.

1. My SHINee poster is behind my head. I didn't want it getting bloody.

2. My roommate convinced me not to.

In the end, I had to draw another picture, a completely different one that wouldn't take me too long to do, because this is for tomorrow and I still have other work that I need to do.

This picture only took me 1.5 hours. Meaning its really not that great. It could be better.

But it's acceptable. Take a look.

What do you think? I would have preferred the ballerina (it was so beautiful) but I guess this will have to do.

I swear it though, one day, I will redraw that ballerina, and it would look even better then the first time that I did it! IT SHALL BE A MASTERPIECE.

Awhhhh :c I KNOW THAT FEELING. Is it really no way you can save it with all layers separated though? I don't know what program you use but most programs allow you to save so that when you open the file again you can continue from where you last were~
That ballerina drawing.... it must've been beautiful *^* seriously why is everyone so good at drawing? That picture is amazing ;;A;;

Ohmygawrsh THAT TOTALLY HAPPENS ALL THE TIME TO ME... Ahem. If not drawing, it would be my homework or all my writing stuff XD So I tend to lose a lot of my good ideas... Oh well.
I totally understand how ya feel, though I thank your roommate for being there ta stop yah, hehe. (Bad idea to bang your head on the wall man...it hurts...I've done it before by accident and it was...*shudders*. BTW, AWESOME PICTURE. If you ever do the ballerina again, I'll totally be rootin' for ya!!!!
