Know how to write your male characters

I've read tons of fanfictions, some amazed me while others irked me in so many ways that all I could do is cringe at how awful they are. I am not technically strict wth grammar, but it's one of the most important thing writers should consider when writing. What bothers me the most is how men--leading role and other male characters included--behaved in those stories.

"Be realistic."

People say that a lot. Reviewers try to remind the writers about this. And it in my opinion, writers should not only focus on the realism of the plot, the situations or the emotions involved in the story,  but also about the way how their male characters act. I am perfectly aware that in AFF the population is mainly composed by females, so it's quite understandable that most male leads and characters are stereotypical but THIS HAS TO STOP.

---- I'm a man and it's feels like I am -slapped everytime I read about these men "squealing","pouting", and "whining" almost ALL THE TIME throughout the entire story. For God's sake,  straight guys don't do these demasculining things, especially in front of many people.  Sometimes, yes, but, definitely, not all the time.

---- Also, we, guys, are not always . It's not true that all we think about is , and .

When two persons--of the opposite es--are left alone in a room it's always the guy who intiates the naughty thing. Why do you always do that, dear writer? The girls would always be the one forced, threatened, teased by men.

And readers find this y. WHY? That's harassment!

This may come as a surprising thing, but, we, often times, also feel this human emotion called, 'MORTIFICATION'. Men hesitate. We feel shy when we are with girls--all the more if they're the one we like. And we have this sense of respect for them. We don't force them, HECK, NO!

WE ARE NOT ALWAYS THAT -DRIVEN BEAST WHO'LL EAT GIRLS ALIVE WHENEVER WE HAD THE CHANCE. No. Please, enough with that. Even EXO would feel insulted if ever they will be reading how you make them look like one in these god awful stories.

We, male species, have decency. WE ARE NOT ALWAYS CONSUMED WITH ERTED THOUGHTS. Though I admit that our anatomy is highly sensitive when it comes to these ual temptations, but we can control it. There are other things running in our minds, say, games, perhaps, or food, or girls. But it isn't always dirty thoughts about the girl. We fantasize, yes, but it'll remain within the chambers of our minds--or rooms.

Remember: An impromptu and non-consensual in not sensual nor is it y, its freaking !  Wake up, ladies. Wake up.

---Lastly, we don't always break faces with our bare hands--or by means of other instrument in kicking random arses. We are entitled to feel senstivity, and are not always equipped with iron fists. Brawling and bloodly gang fights are not our hobby. You want a decent man for your innocent female lead? THEN A KINGKA IS DEFINITELY OUT OF THE OPTIONS. These types of people are sociopaths. They love stepping on other people to show what real strenght is. That is not something to admire or be swooned over, ladies. Stop it.

This is basically why I never liked Meteor Garden. That drama had completely corrupted women's mind, finding it sweet when a guys sheds his blood for her.

OH,GOD, WHY?

If you guys do plan to make new stories, please, keep these reminders in mind. Don't think that all your readers are all girls, there are guys who read FFs as well,  and I am one of them. Be considerate and sensible.

;)

Unfortunately there are stereotypical stories out there because that's what people like to read. Then, there's the minority of us, who don't like it. I liked BOF but I hate the way it's been recreated a zillion times - there's no plot left anymore - so theres a dry well that everyones trying to drink from.

I'm a girl but I got sick of those stories too because it's all just the same - too predictable, too unrealistic, too something (I'm super, super picky and not really satisfied very easily). I just don't reading generic fics. Maybe once but not all the time (I've even given up watching rom-com kdramas lol they're from the same gene pool and not at all exciting plus the humor doesn't make up for the y second lead).

I'm curious as to what kind of fics guys would read, I would think something along the lines of action, mystery, thrillers because that's the stereotypical norm?

Sorry but did you add me as a friend just to make me read this? I don't even know who you are, and honestly it's so funny to read how a guy is complaining about stereotypes for men when if you look around the whole world uses stereotypes for girls all the time. Have you ever watched a show or a movie? How many times the females are given less importance of the male characters, or are given so many dumb stereotypes? Think about it. I'm actually glad you now feel a 1% of how we girls feel everyday just by going out of our house.
