Unspoken words from a student

A teacher is like a candle - it burns itself to light the way for others.

A teacher is a super hero, they sacrifice their personal time in order to nurture the next generation.

During the late hours of the night, while students are studying, teachers are also bent over their desk marking their student's assignments.

During the weekends, when students are spending time with their family, teachers are busy making lesson plans.

During the holidays, when students are playing, teachers are busy thinking of ways to help their class understand a topic.

Dear teachers,

we may curse, swear and gossip behind your backs but we really appreciate you. We may not openly show our respect and gratitude but deep down, we really admire you. A good teacher is one that teaches its students not only textbook content but life lessons.

We pretty much won't remember anything about logarithm or binomial or mole concept ten years down the road but we'll always remember that we had a passionate teacher who helped us along the way, guiding us repeatedly and never once giving up on us despite our terrible results.

A simple ' thank you' is never going to exonerate the unspoken gratitude in our hearts; it would never beat the unwavering support that you gave us throughout the year. A teacher for a day, is a teacher for life; we'll never forget our teachers because they gave us so much to remember - whether good or bad.

Like an umbrella, they shelter us from harsh criticism by the level-heads when we're not meeting the expected results designated to us and fight hard to defend us. They may scold us and we may hate them for doing so but deep down we know that they're doing this for our greater good.

The constant askance of our well-being, the constant reminders of taking care of ourselves and the constant encouragement that reassures us and drives us on in this enervated race. The silent well-fare provider that keeps us going strong and healthy mentally and physically daily, the counsellor we seek when we face a problem and the silent person we look up to.

The uncountable hours they spent with us ,weaker students, after school to help us in that subject, the concern text messages after school to ask us how we're coping with that topic and the phone calls late at night to explain a particular question we don't comprehend are all evidence of their dedication and passion.

Teachers, thank you very much. We cannot imagine a life without you, you've changed our whole world ,our whole life and our whole destiny; inspiring and aspiring us as you show your dedication and passion through every minute regardless whether it's inside the class room or outside the classroom. Thank you.

Happy Teachers Day!

Love,

your students.
