Ladies' Code and Heartless Netizens

Very early morning September 3rd in Korea, Ladies' Code got into a car crash that killed Eun B and the driver, as well as injuring the other members. RiSe has been in surgery for head trauma for over seven hours. Sojung is stable, though greatly injured, while Ashley and Zuny were lucky to have only minor injuries.

This news has left me crushed, as I have loved Ladies' Code since their song "Hate You" came out little over a year ago. Eun B was a beautiful and talented person who touched the hearts of many, including my own, and her smile could brighten anyone's day. This news has completely shaken me, and as I am writing this I am still in shock. Just yesterday I was singing "Pretty Pretty" with my baby sister, and now....

What shocks me even more though, is the reactions of the public. Yes, there have many a great number of "RIP Eun B" and "Eun B will be greatly missed", and people sending their condolences to her family and friends. But what I have seen just as much of, if not more, are people laughing at her death, making jokes of it, saying no one really cares about her anyway, bashing fans who are mourning out loss of Eun B, and so on.

Many people are responding to the news by saying "at least my oppa is okay" "At least its not my bias" "thank goodness my group wasn't hurt." Guess what. Your "oppa" wasn't anywhere near this. How can people be so casual and care more about someone who was likely either sleeping or sitting in a dance studio, completely safe from harm, instead of taking 5 seconds to care about a girl who lost their life?

One particular person on twitter, whose name I won't mention, has been making fun of her death since the news broke out by saying things like  "I think she killed herself to get her group media attention", making multiple racist jokes about asians being bad drivers, even going so far as to write an "apology in korean" that wasn't an apology at all but instead says "I'm glad that girl is dead."

And people are sticking up for him, saying us "ching chongs/ crazy kpop es" are such mean people that should just kill ourselves as well, and that he has done nothing wrong, despite totally making fun of someone who died less than 12 hours ago.

I feel sick. I can't understand how people can be such terrible, heartless creatures. I know not everyone is like this, but that there is one person, hundreds even, that can laugh at someone's death so casually and not feel and ounce of guilt.... are they even human? Can a human being really be so cruel? I don't want to believe it, but after all I've seen these past few hours, I feel like giving up hope.

Rest in Peace Eun B, and may you shine brightly as a star in the night sky eternally.

RiSe, Sojung, Ashley, Zuny, may you have a speedy recovery and be back to your energetic, beautiful, charismatic selves as soon as possible.

All of the horrible comments you mentioned were put aside by your beautiful words at the end of this blog.
It's people like you that matter <3

Ahhhh
That person
I know who you are talking out and he makes me so angry. And the person who are supporting him

Has EunB done anything to you? No. So why must you laugh at her? Why must you laugh at the fans who are heartbroken.
And the amount of racist things he has said.
