APPEARANCE — She's always too lazy to cut her nails, so they're usually long and she likes to paint them. Her hair is usually tied back when she's using her bow, no matter the situation, so she can see. She has a cartilage piercing on her left ear, and normal ear piercings on each ear. She has a small dimple when she smiles on her right cheek, and a birthmark that's sort of shaped like a crescent moon on the right side of her neck. She has a few scars scattered across her body (thigh, shoulder, and stomach) from times where she's been attacked, but not too many.
BACKGROUND — What is that smell? Iron? Blood. Blood stained her bedroom walls and she stood there with a knife in her hands with her brother cowering behind her small form. Her hands shook, her body trembled, but only one thing was racing through her mind. "Don't let him die, don't let him die, don't let him die in front of you like mommy did for daddy." The ten year old girl let out a loud screech before she lunged, and with the skills she learned from her mother, she managed to slay the vampire. Eyes wide and body stuff, she dropped the bloody weapon down in front of her as she fell to her knees. It was only a few minutes later, did she crawl to her brother and cup his cheeks with her dirtied hands and realized that she couldn't stay here when she has blood on her hands.
Yujin was born into a family with an older brother and a single mother. They lived in a humble apartment building where they were close with the neighbors and their children. She was a normal, cheerful young girl who loved to play with dolls and dress in frilly dresses all day. As soon as she realized that there was something wrong with not having a father, she asked her mother where he was. Chanhyun told her the truth, not one to lie to her children about anything. "Your father's dead." She said. "I let a vampire kill him, and I ran away." Little four year old Yujin realized her mom was sad and she quickly hugged her leg, smiling brightly while looking up at her. "It's okay, mommy! Daddy loved you lots, probably." And Chanhyun pat her head before she smiled and continued with making dinner for the family of three.
Yujin's mother was a vampire hunter, so the little girl knew what those creatures were from the beginning. So in her free time, her and her brother Jaehyun would train with their mother just in case something would happen to them while she was away. He had always been the better skilled one despite only being a year older, but she was the one that would go in without hesitation whenever they trained on wild animals. Jaehyun had always had too much heart, and was too kind of a person to kill so easily. Their mother always for it, saying that it should be the other way around and how they were an odd pair. Chanhyun was always so proud of them, for growing up so quickly despite their young age. Both of them understood the situation and knew that she couldn't always be home for them, and accepted it. Besides, they were always there for each other.
The little girl ran away to the streets, with the bow and arrow that her mother had given her. "Your father's. He had always been bad at close distant combat, just like you." She had said while ruffling her hair. Yujin knew she would need it to defend herself from the bloodthirsty vampires out there, so she did. That's when her guild took her in and cared for her like she was one of their own. Slowly, after murdering countless "bloodsuckers", the feeling of accomplishment slowly became a feeling of happiness whenever she struck one down. It was an addiction that she couldn't get rid of. She never went back to visit her mom and brother, and at times she regrets it but she realizes occasionally that maybe it's for the better. They wouldn't want to see her at the state she's in now.
PERSONALITY — You always have the one in the group that is the most intimidating. There's always one smile that sends chills down your spine. Yujin is the person in the group that owns that smile, and uses it to her advantage. She always has a grin on her face, like she knows something you don't and she's going to use it against you. It's as if she lives to ruin people's lives, because people around her think she enjoys bringing pain to others. Her gaze is cold even though the bottom half of her face says otherwise. She's always the one that's most excited to slay vampires, and she's always been one of the most reluctant ones to stand close to them. Thinking of them falling and grovelling at her feet gives her a sadistic pleasure. She's probably one of the only slayers that kills with such a wide and cheerful expression on her face. But the problem is, she's always doing more than she should. If she was only meant to exterminate the dangerous one, she'll most likely "accidentally" kill those around them and claim that they were witnesses. She's known as a cold-hearted killer, that only finds joy when there's blood on her hands. Yet for some reason, even though she's known as that, she's still approached by clueless boys that try to court her. (Of course, she rejects them with a gentle "If you want to die, go ahead" and a big wide smile.) A pretty face that doesn't fit with her personality, is what others would say about her.
She doesn't care about what others say, and only worries about the opinions of those she's close to. She's confident, respectful, and knows her limits. She may go past the line sometimes, but never too much to get more than a lecture. But what surprises some people when they get closer is that wow, this monster that "kills for fun" has feelings? Yes, she does have feelings that she hides away for a long period of time. Maybe she was born like that, but it didn't surface until she ran away from home. No matter how heartless and sadistic she seems, she does have feelings and she does have a heart. She worries for those around her, though she doesn't express it through words. There are rare actions that she'll show that signals that she's thinking about you. For example, if you're about to get attacked, she will conveniently be there to kill whatever could've endangered you and your life. She's like a 'tsundere', acting like she doesn't care when she really does. But for some reason, that creepy smile never leaves her face no matter what happens. Yes, she's sadistic, and yes, she likes the feeling of accomplishment when she kills, but she's human too. She has a heart that beats, she breathes, and she cares. She cries, but she cries alone, and never in front of others. She get's angry, but she's never relased her anger on other people that she's grown attached to. (Her poor pillow gets all of the abuse.) So all in all, to the public eye, she's a ruthless killer, and to those who know her, she's a sadistic girl who can fit in and be a "normal" person when she really wants to.
