let me introduce you to jo ryuwon, the person with ninety nine percent of hyper and one percent of boring. she's known to take bold risks and succeeds without any difficulties. she has a passion to get all giddy for no particular reason, and serves as the deranged university student. with that being said, she's actually a person you can count on. if she's being tasked to do something, she will do it without any doubts whatsoever, she'll just get the task done. for example, she and her uni lab partners are doing a project, she'll definitely be the one to bring all of the items needed even though she's only asked to bring one or two.

putting that aside, she is extremely independent because she can juggle being in uni, having to work three times a day, and to top it off, she also has time to spare for dance practices. not to mention she lives alone in her dorm.

whoa, hold up. don't ever have the mind to say that ryuwon does the things she does half-assedly, because i swear, she'll bite you into the core of your heart. she does everything with a dedication. whether it's unimportant school papers to dish plates, she'll put her all in dping it. however, by the end of the day, she'd have a heartwarming grin of joy curling up on her face.

we all know that a perfectly toasted bread comes with a mess of scrambled eggs. ryuwon's personality also comes with a side of imperfections. she's a person that lacks consideration for other people without a doubt. she doesn't really think the importance of anybody unless it's her family― although half of time she thinks about her own self needs.

being pretty isn't everything if you inspect from another aspect. what i mean is, she's a gross and unclean type of person. let's have a tour of her dorm room! yay, not. her room is filled with scattered unwashed clothes, plastic instant ramyeon bowls, and worst of all, the investation of creepy crawlies... urgh. you might want to reconsider visiting her.

ryuwon likes to get away from her mistakes and make up false conclusions to cover herself up. from her point of view, she thinks it's exciting, the sorta 'flame-y' kind of excitement., and doesn't know why it feels like that. for example, if you're caught up in a messed up situation and she's in the wrong whilst you're not, she will find a way out with her clever excuses.

whenever she thinks whatever you do doesn't satisfy her to the fullest, she'd probably criticize you from a to z. she won't say it with courageous nor kind words, nope, she'll bluntly and harshly say it like this, "oh, hey. your dancing was way off. practice a bit more, yeah?" or something along the lines.

sometimes, she'd even come up with over-exaggerated jokes that actually hurt people's feelings, and she'S AWARE THAT THE PARTICULAR person IS HURT BY HER WORDS OR JOKES.

SHE'S THE TYPE OF PERSON TO JUDGE SOMEONE PLAINLY BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO even though she understands that she can't do it 'perfectly' as well, and let's search up the definition of that! well, it means that she's a hypocrite, haha.

likes:

- romance novels. the clichér the better.

- the drizzling sound of rain. she thinks that it's soothing to her ears.

- diet bars. she rarely goes on diets, but she's in love with the unique taste.

- tap dance. she wants to learn this particular style of dance because she simply hadn't.

- crop tops. she's been wearing them since before the mainstream trend happened in two thousand and something.

 

dislikes:

- air conditioning. she doesn't favor the cold air, especially when it's being directed right on her face or body.

- sensitivity. she will never make acquaintances with a cry-baby, definitely a big no-no.

- overly confident boys. she'll shove her middle finger right in front of their ugly- faces.

- centipedes. she's only afraid of their sting and not their overall wiggly and squishy body.

- gingham check patterns. she sometimes questions why fashion designers invented that horrid pattern.

hobbies:

- playing tennis with her family members.

- participating in ridiculous games (ie. truth or dare) whilst drinking alcohol.

- creating choreographies whenever she has the time to.

- writing calligraphy on her notepad because why the hell not.

- scratching her nape. she does this almost all the time even though it's not itchy.

- biting straws. whenever she buys beverages, she'll bite the straw whilst gulping the drink.

- caressing her bangs. she'll do this when she's having a conversation with someone.

trivia:

- she can do different varieties of dances, but she stated out that she doesn't prefer hip-hop.

background:

          jo ryuwon was born on the thirtieth of november, nineteen ninety four, specifically in gangdong district (seoul, south korea). she was born to two high school sweethearts, jo miyeon and jo sook. her family was at an average level when it comes to well-off rankings; they didn't live in a large house, but her parents could at least provide her a roof and three meals a day. the relationship she had with both of her parents were quite unsual according to the twentieth century polls, because the three of them would treat each other like close friends, they wouldn't have a certain distance between each other, that was for sure.

 

          ryuwon lived the plainest life there is in elementary. she goes to school, eat, sleep, and does her homeworks. her grades were actually below average, even though she was probably the only one there to study dilligently. although her parents encouraged her to work harder. at that time, when she was feeling rather gloomy from another low test score, she observed an empty classroom, but there was a skinny and lanky boy. he was dancing. and she had seen many simple choreographies from idols on tv, but somehow, his dancing was extraordinary and it intrigued her to move forward and learn a few steps or two.

 

          for some silly reason, ryuwon developed a hidden crush on the boy. whenever she spotted him walking past by her, she would always act like a little girl in love. well, except that she was. she even decided to watch him dance in the empty classroom. she knew it sounded stalker-ish, but of course, her main reason was to admire the guy she liked, although she also had the thought of learning his choreography and so she did. it was a hidden crush, so she never really confessed to him.

 

         when she was in high school, her dancing improved bit by bit. she actually had the talent in her. her dancing was smooth and powerful to the point where she was extremely flexible. during her entire time in high school, she was avoided by almost everyone (especially the females because of her looks)― she didn't know a particular reason why everyone seemed to target her as 'bully' when she was obviously not... yes. all she had to direct her attention to was her newly-born baby brother, oh, he was the cutest!

how long have you been singing/dancing/rapping?:

"oh, um, i guess for around six years? well, if dancing embarrassingly at local competitions count, but i'll just say ten years to be exact. i've been dancing since the mid of elementary."

how did you find out about this audition?:

"ahaha― why are you asking me this? obviously, i heard this audition from the massive promotional banners and back to back tv commercials. other than that, my mom suggested me to enter this show."

How much do you want to win?:

"a lot. i want to win because of my own efforts. i will win because of my own choreographies. at first, i only joined this for the heck of it and to gain a bit more experiences in my nineteen years of living, but now, i undeniably want to win."

what will you do with the money if you win?:

"a lifetime supply of samgyetang would be grand, no? joking, joking. if i win, i'll divide the money for my parents, baby brother, and myself. to be honest, i don't exactly know. i'll probably use it for advanced dance courses since i am self-taught."

 

what company would you like to be in?:

"eh, i don't really know. i've never thought of becoming an idol because of my terrible singing skills. although i'm a huge fan of lee hyori, so joining b2m entertainment wouldn't be bad. also, pledis is okay as well."
