What's the use of Karma points? Why are some giving it away? Can someone took it from you? Thanks for answering!

No one can take it from you. You'll have to use karma points to advertise your story, to change your username too.
It gained by writing story, updating story, put a comment on other's blog/story.

no, no one can take them from you. you can give them as a gift, though, people use them to change their username and to advertise their stories.
