You know what kills the mood of writing......

When the comments are nothing but nagging "UPDATE SOON" ............... i've never seen anything that boils my blood so much........i mean it completely and totally turns me off writing anything at all....like if i had half a chap and saw that...i just turn my computer off tbh

oh wait and not to mention those "THAT TOOK FOREVER.....UPDATE MORE FREQUENTYLY OKAY?" ...how bout i just delete my fcking fics and call it a day... (sadly i could never bring myself to do that........at this point)

 

you sit for hours.....maybe days...thinking writing and re-writing.....for that

 

sometimes i just look at them after having an awful fcking day (which have been plenty) and just ,...sigh

 

sometimes no comment is better than getting one of those

 

 

 

 

 

terribly sorry for this and whoever even bothers to read this

i just had this on my chest for a very......very long time

That's like how I had multiple deaths in the family less than 6 months apart, and i warned people that it would mess with my writing, and i basically lost all of my inspiration to write. I just logged in after a really long time away from AFF and i got all excited because i just got my first comment for months and it said "I'm sorry for your loss, but it's already been a year. Are you going to stop writing here? Because I really want to read your story!" Like I'm sorry that i have crappy things going on in my life and I've lost my inspiration, me not updating must be so hard on you!! I completely understand your frustration. Makes me want to just delete the whole fic!!

At least you get comments. I have a lot of subscribers but NONE of them ever comment. The last comment I got was forever ago.
But I do know how you feel and they wonder why we don't update frequently. I mean we need some input that's uplifting and positive. It helps with writing but when no one comments we just feel down and like we didn't do a good job

I think almost everyone who writes a fic on here fills the same way. Honestly when I first starting coming to this site I've done it once or twice but that's almost like three years back. Now I just show my gratitude with small "thank you for updating's" or " I appreciate you writing this fic....ect" because it's seriously hard to write when ppl are hassling you to update. Especially when you have writers block or are busy with other things called life. Lol. But I feel your pain, hopefully you can express your frustration to your readers so they understand a bit.

lol it's ok take your time, i'm still waiting here for your fic "SpellBound" and it's been over a year and yeah writier block it's writer block can't do anything about that and can't push you too about updating too if you don't feel like it! ^^ i'm just hoping you will not remove the fic >_<
i'm not a writer but i know how much time and effort it's needed to write one so never pressuring you!

i agree with you. what's even worse is slaving away weeks or even months at an update...and getting absolutely no comments. not even a freaking emoticon.

Oh my gosh, can I just say that I feel you? Like, really feel you. Anyone that doesn't write will never understand how much effort it takes to complete a chapter. Just one chapter. And then you don't get any words of encouragement or sweet comments. Just 'update soon'. I've literally received comments with those two words and nothing else. It makes me wonder if it's even worth it anymore.
