AFF QUIZ: KNOW MORE ABOUT ME (stolen from exoplosions)

1. How long have you been on Asianfanfics?

⇒ Approximately two years and three months (I started in May 2012).

2. How many stories have you written?

⇒ More than 30. But I never got to finishing them (heh) I would always stop after the first chapter cause of the lack of insipiration/motivation.

3. What is the best fanfic that you've read?

⇒ I'm an avid reader of soompi authors (in particular: Con.template, Solangel, and Jen.) Their fanfics are all amazing. Each plot is written in such detail and every character has their own unique traits. (I suggest reading Welcome to the Underworld, Conversations Between Us, Sweetest Seduction, Wedding Losers, and Heart of Ambiguity.) They're all perfect stories that are flawlessly written. As for aff, I actually don't have a lot of stories that I've been reading. But I'm crazy about amber_rose's "The Thorn Birds." I can totally imagine her story being turnt into a kdrama. The plot is very original and all the characters are strung together someway, somehow. I really like meihua's "In the Prince's Chamber" as well. (These are the ones I remember off the top of my head heh).

4. What do you love seeing in stories?

⇒ If the plotline's original, I will live you forever. I can read cliches every now and then, but flawless grammar is a must. I'm a grammar nazi and I'm turned off by the slightest grammar isues. (Especially if you continue to mix your tenses throughout your story.) I also want your words to convey a deeper message and not something that scratches the surface. I also really enjoy characters who are all very complex and similar to those in reality.

5. What do you hate seeing in stories?

⇒ I hate cliches: kingka/nerd storyline, chabeols ruling the world, arranged marriages, and two people hating each other and then falling in love with each other. I'm fine with you writing cliches but at least try to include something original. Put your own twist to it. I also hate it when writers make the lead girl sounds so desirable and desperate. Honestly, fanfictions do not depict anything similar to reality and that's something that I really don't like. This is why I enjoy writing plotlines that can be relatable. I also hate how in every fanfiction, the two leads always end up with each other. In real life, life's not perfect. Things don't go the way how you imagine. They may have loved each other, but there are certain obstacles that lovers cannot overcome. They can't always end up together. I like originality, simply put. If you base a story idea on a cliche, go ahead. But include a personal twist to it. That's what really draws the readers in.

6. Name three things you love about Asianfanfics.

1. A friendly community. (I've made a bunch of friends here but I haven't talked to them in a while. Woops.)
2. My readers are always so supportive. ♥
3. Easy to navigate!

7. Name three things you hate about Asianfanfics.

1. The feature system. (Please do something about it. Tbh, some stories don't deserve to be featured. There's really crappy writing and cliches. #plsdonthate)
2. Comments that include "pls update soon author-nim" or something along those lines annoy me. I'm sorry. I understand that all my readers want me to update but can you at least tell me about your thoughts on this chapter? I really want to hear about your thoughts on my chapter that I've put a lot of effort into.
3. Crappy fanfics.

8. What is your favorite pairing to read?

⇒ I don't really read parings LOL. I'm not a reader. But I have read sekai/kailu fanfics and they happen to be the only ones I've read LOL. (Anterograde Tomorrow was the only KaiSoo exception.)

9. What is your favourite genre of story?

⇒ ANGST ALL THE WAYY. Angst stories tend to be really realistic and the writing, I find, is absolutely fantastic. Everything is written in such depth. (I prefer having angsty endings over fluffy endings.)

10. How often do you go on Asianfanfics?

⇒ All day, 'errday.

11. Who is your best friend on AFF?

⇒ UHM. I haven't really talked to my friends I've made on AFF though. Can I include my actual best friend who has an account on AFF? (Shoutout to dancekokoro. SHOUT OUT TO -MAYBE TOO LOL LET'S TALK SOON CLOE ♥ OH AND SHOUTOUT TO KELLI ((aka hk_ynm)) who has the best EXO recommendation list!)

12. Who is your favourite Author?

⇒ JEN, SOLANGEL, CON. I really love jen's stories but she hasn't updated for the past two months. D: I miss KyungHee/JiTae and ViAnn/Keith/Nick and the entire Sweetest Seduction cast.

13. Where do you come from?

⇒ I'm from LA. (/sighs/ this weekend is kcon. and i can't go...tickets are so freaking expensive pls)

14. If you could change anything on AFF what would it be?

⇒ The feature system. I wish there were people who would review possible featured stories before actually featuring them to the public. Because like I mentioned previously, some stories that got featured don't deserve to be featured. (Really cliche plotlines and crappy writing.) There are plenty of fanfictions on AFF that deserve to be featured but don't have enough readers to upvote. I wish we could go back to the subscriber count again. Upvoting is really hard to gain cause some readers don't have enough karma points etc. I think the featuring system should be definitely changed. (/yuri/oc should all be in different featured categories. Cause some people don't like to read ((like me)) and sometimes we just don't want to see another story get featured.)

15. What is your biggest AFF peeve?

⇒ When the stories are written in "you" or "_______" I also don't like it when they hyperlink freaking pictures to their words. Example: "You were dressed in this and drove this car " Like please. Can't you use your imagination a little to actually describe the features? Like c'mon. That just proves to me that you're an incapable writer or just a writer who's lazy and doesn't even bother with writing descriptions. Writing is to describe something and if you can't even describe something as simple as a dress, then why bother writing? You should just write in script format. Example: Kai: Hi, Sehun. >> Seriously. If you can't write something so simple, then maybe you should reconsider your writing style.

16. Which group do you mostly read about on AFF?

⇒ I only read EXO fanfics now LOL. I used to read a bunch of Infinite/Teen Top ones though.

17. What is your favorite narrative to use in your stories?

⇒ First/third person. It really depends on how I want to convey my message. If I feel a closer bond to the plotline, then I'll write in first person. Again, it really depends on my thoughts for the plotline.

18. What is your most disliked sort of story?

⇒ Second person narratives, cliches etc.

19. What age are you?

⇒ I'm 14/15. (>< I'm either 14 or 15...)

20. What pairing don't you like?

⇒ N/A LOL.

I agree with you on most things... i really loovvee angst stories, but I just can write one. They always end up crappy and unoriginal. OMG~! You live in LA~! I LIVE IN TEMECULA~! We're only two hours apart~! We should talk more... you seem friendly(: But... I'm the kind of author that write the stories you hate the most... And if that's in the way, you can just say that you dont wanna be friends with me. I understand.(:

I couldn't agree more with the feature system. I used to find awesome stories but nowadays most of them are meh. How did it got featured? I often ask myself.

Some cliché are well written though. So I don't mind them as long as they're written properly.

isn't my jam either. I totally cringe. There's a fan fic that everyone talked about 18001 something I don't know the title but I never read it.

Your probably the first kid I've encountered that's mature and has a point in what her saying.
