» PERSONALITY

Just like her persona says, she's a really 4D person. Ahn Jung says the weirdest things at times, and suggests the most craziest ideas. No one really knows how she got them, but then again, she's really unpredictable and spontaneous. You can never tell when she's being serious or just acting playful. And just like a girl like her should, she acts very childish, to the point where people seriously believe that she's a child stuck in a young adult's body. She also expresses her emotions through her actions, like when she's angry, she'll huff and pout and stomp her feet until she gets her way, or when she's happy, she'll jump up and down and squeal like a little piggy. She sometimes makes weird faces, just like an alien (or V of BTS) when doing fan signings or on interviews.

Stubborn and careless, Ahn Jung doesn't really care what others think about her and will do whatever she pleases, unless it can affect her group's or her reputation. There's never a time where you'll actually see her staying still or not wearing her signature eye smile. Despite her very indifferent attitude towards work, she's really passionate about her dreams of making it big. She'll do whatever it takes to reach her life goal, and will push her fellow members even more than the leader does just to get there. Ahn Jung may seem like the type to slack off, but in reality, she's just as determined as the others.

Ahn Jung is very loud, which pisses everyone off. When DMD's doing interviews, she'll always steal the spotlight and talk way more than she's supposed to, and when she gets called out for it, she only brushes it off by saying it's her favorite way of warming up her vocal chords. To top it all off, she's into a lot of skinship. During award ceremonies, she hangs onto her unnis' and oppas' (the rest of the members) shoulders and will somtimes hug them by the waist. In front of camera, she likes to play with their hair, especially the boys', and wrapping her arms them. But of course, they're very used to it since she usually lays and sits down on them in the dorm, so it's very normal.

She also isn't very smart; it sometimes takes her a very long time to process things. People say she's the Jongup of BAP, or maybe even the Lay of EXO, but she thinks otherwise. Ahn Jung sometimes gets lost in conversation with MCs or her managers, and they're forced to repeat their words/sentences about 2 or 3 times. If she puts her phone in her back pocket, she'll freak out five minutes later because, apparently, she will think that she "lost" it. But even though Ahn Jung's very forgetful, people still love and cherish her the most because she's like the moodmaker of the group

» Background

Ahn Jung grew up in a loving family, consisting of 5 people, including herself. She had a younger brother (by 11 years) and and older sister (by 2 years). Her mother and father were in a healthy relationship, and she couldn't ask for more. Except for her older sister to stop picking on her, but she can't really do anything about it. They are sisters after all. Even though Ahn Jung acts really dumb, her school performance wasn't that bad. She got mostly B's and that one occasional C that her parents would get really pissed off about, but other than that, she was considered the smartest in her class, mainly because all of her fellow classmates were very stereotypical, so they thought that she was very smart since she one of the five Asians in her grade. So in order to keep the title as the smart Asian student, she did her best to hold her grades together, and was successful.

Of course, that was all in middle school. Her father was the only Korean man who worked at this company, and since his boss thought it would be easier to send a Korean man to Korea (and the fact that her father was very hardworking), he promoted him and the 5 were off to Seoul. And because Ahn Jung's parents were very strict about learning Korean, for that was the only language they talked in when at home, it wasn't hard for her to adjust to her new highschool. In 9th grade, she joined a talent show with her best friend just for the heck of it, and found that she had amazing dancing talent, so after her parents watched it they immediately signd her up for Seoul Arts High School, and was even a senior to to the Jo twins of Boyfriend.

One day, in 10th grade, Ahn Jung was just practicing a dance with her partner for a project. A Cube Ent. representative was there to pick up his nephew (the one who was practicing with Ahn Jung) and immediately asked her if she wanted to audition for Cube, since they were being held the following week. Her first audition was suddenly canceled because one of the auditioners had caused a great havoc right before it was her turn, but she got a callback nonetheless because the lovely representative's nephew convinced him to accept her. She then got in and was a trainee for 4 years.

» PERSONALITY

Sungyeol may seem like the smart and studious type of guy, but he's the exact opposite. He's goofy and aloof, and has many flaws. He squeaks when he talks, and he cries very easily, though he doesn't show it as much. He's a total kid at heart, just like Ahn Jung. People call him "choding" (a Korean term for someone who acts younger than his real age), thus the coupld name as the Choding Pair since Ahn Jung is the same way.

As the "Kindergarten Boy", he enjoys pranking his hyungs/dongsaengs and making fun of them. In their dorm, he's actually quite very loud because he's more comfortable around them. Despite his more childish traits, he knows when it's time to stop goofing off and when to be serious. Sungyeol is also a very good actor, so he's very good at holding in his wide smile when performing on stage.

» INTERACTIONS

Whenever the two are together, all they do is laugh and tell each other jokes. They're very close friends, which explains why they're always talking to each other backstage whenever their groups are performing on the same stage. Sungyeol is always teasing Ahn Jung, and she always comes up with a clever comeback that catches him off guard all of the time. That's what he likes about her the most, because she won't get hurt. Sometimes, when their schedules aren't packed, him and her like to text each other nonstop. And when they are, they always argue playfully. Ahn Jung even suggests they play tag over text, and Sungyeol happily agrees everytime.

Since she just debuted, no one would really expect Sungyeol to like someone as new as Ahn Jung, but it's not like they really care. No one, not even their own group members, no that they're secretly dating. They're very discreet about it because they don't want any scandals to come out. Sungyeol has never given her a couple bracelet, and Ahn Jung doesn't expect one from him since he made it very clear that they could only date if no one knows, and that means no obvious couple items. Ahn Jung has seen enough idols go down in just a few days from not being careful enough, and she isn't going to let her wants to get in the way. And plus, they never even get to see each other often. The only way they can communicate is through text, and she has to delete their conversations every single night so know one would know.

 

Their friendship first started when Infinite was coming back with "Man In Love" and 4Minute was promoting "Volume Up". Ahn Jung, being the lost and forgetful girl she was (and still is), just got out of the bathroom and couldn't find her way back to the rest of the dance crew. And since Sungyeol was a good 15 centimeters taller than her, she tapped his back lightly, thinking that he was part of the staff. When he turned around, she suddenly widened her eyes and bowed to him. He just chuckled and pointed her towards the group of dancers, who were just a few feet away. Instead of getting the embarassed expression he expected from her, she just started to laugh a lot and managed to say a simple "Thanks," before skipping over to them.

When she laughed, he just wanted to know more about her. So that's what he did. After 4Minute was finished, Sungyeol approached her and the two hit if off immediately. They had many things in common, like their huge fear of ghosts. Then, they exchanged numbers and couldn't put their phones down after.
