You cant say that the older bands are better or that the newer banda are better than the older ones,. I mean you just have to accept the new direction kpop has went into.

But I agree with your annoyance about younger fans, I mean thats all good but they shouldn't be reading m fics or stuff like that because generally it just freaks me out and saddens me that they are into things like that at such a young age:/

well I began liking kpop around 2008, I'm 13 now and TVXQ was my favourite kpop group and I would read lots of fanfics about them :)

I like the older groups too, but I still like the younger/newer ones also. But I've known the older groups and I like them ^.^ Mostly Super junior and TVXQ. Jaejoong was my bias :)

well, i've been into kpop since 2008. i find it kind of crazy that i remember shinee debuting.
but, yeah, there are so many young people in kpop nowodays. i don't know if it's just me, but the fandom's average age seemed older back then. or maybe it only seemed, because i was younger? and now i'm 23, so old, so, uh. D:
but being angry at younger people for them knowing only newer groups is kind of unreasonable. like, most of the time they can't help it. those older groups are totally different now than they used to be or don't quite exist. and, well, other groups are much more often seen these days, on tv and everywhere.
though, yeah, those people whining how newer groups are better, then, nope, go away, the door is that way, those people can it :|

~5 years. I got into SS501 and then like a year or so later they went on hiatus. I still follow them as they're my first group, but Infinite's my baby because I was a fan since the beginning and just got really attached to them really quick.

(I think the only thing I get peeved at though is how some fans herald the older groups though and basically on newer groups and say they and will never match up. I think respect should go both ways, because yes, older groups helped pave the way, but some of the newer groups aren't talentless and are bringing new stuff to the kpop scene and doing things that haven't been done before.)

I'm 13 and i actually prefer old kpop band like SJ and TVXQ and sinhwa rather than the new ones (except exo of course). And infinite and beast are counted as the old ones right? They debuted for four years already~

I hope im not like that. Im 12 and i love all the old kpop groups. I definitely see the difference in old and new. And they all have really good catchy songs. I hope i never meet anyone like you described.

11 years!! That's impressive. I've been into kpop for about 5 years now. It makes me so mad seeing the disrespect these young fans have for the older groups. I love all the groups you just mentioned. They're the reason I got into kpop. I like some new groups too, but the 2003-06ish debuted idols hold a special space in my heart. I also like a few older groups than that, like GOD and Shinhwa. Even if they do not like the earlier groups, they should at least respect them.
