16.07.2014 Grades does not define who you are

Feeling a little negative today. I guess Cancers are really emotional xD

Bound to have that one or two days in a month whereby we overthink too much and then gets depressed for no reasons.

I suppose, everyone has a purpose in life. We might not know now but I guess, in the near future we will.

I aspire to be a teacher, someone whom my students would be able to confide to, I could be able to share what I know with the younger ones and then I am sure the world would be better with future talents.

But something worries me, grades. And yes, that artificial score that actually grades how good we are when we enter the real society.

Personally, I don't think that academic grades should define how someone is.

Be it that you are a top scholar or just a normal student, it doesn't really matter.

What matters would be more of whether you behave like an educated person, or not?

So what if someone scores straight As but behaves like some barbarians or have that childish mindset that doesn't show his/her age, I see no point.

Being educated is a blessing, I am lucky that I am able to study and become knowledgeable.

It's a power for all, for all of us to be contributing to the society, to help others, to understand why this and that happen and to even prevent something unfavourable from happening. Thereby improving everyone's quality of life and we can be able to enjoy what we have.

However at the same time, as we enjoy these benefits, we should think about those who doesn't have the chance to study, to help them with what we can when we grow up or to just not create more misfortunes.

I would say, if you aren't good with your studies, I am sure you are talented with something else.

Why do you think sports school, arts schools or those skills-focused academy instituitions existed? :)

It is okay to not be getting As and Bs but in life, you should be someone having a good character that you personally can grade yourself as an A.

Usually, I would just be trying my very best to study hard and to score for examinations. It's a little ironic but I suppose, as a student, we should just do our best.

If you did your best, then don't worry about your results.

It would be more towards how we treat the people around us, how we present ourselves and like I said, behave like an educated person.

I hope all students out there (like me) can be able to just do our best and I suppose, life wouldn't be just studying whatever that is in the textbook but more of, we are learning how to become a better person, to make sure that we are of use to the society and to also, make this world a better place.

With this, I am gonna say goodnight :)

Exams starts (AGAIN) tomorrow, I will do my best, apply what I understand and hopefully, I can still somehow manage to keep my score there :)

Goodnight, lovelies <3

Nice blog and inspiring... I am a teacher and I am proud to be one... I may not those who always got the perfect scores back at school..when you are in a real working place, or in this case in teaching place, your grades are just a number or a letter... your students will never grade you based on that but by the way you teach... the same with other jobs, you may have a high grades/scores, but once you start working, people will just see your work ethic and peesonality... it's good to have a great grade but it's more important to know how to be a great person (with that grade).. ^_^
