Movie: Rurouni Kenshin

Huhu just wanna share about a movie I watched recently, titled "Rurouni Kenshin".

It's a movie from a novel manga and it also has it's own anime too :)

Yeap a Japanese movie acted by the main lead, Satou Takeru whom I deemed suitable for the role of Kenshin in the movie.

An introduction of the movie thanks to sincerely, wikipedia:

" The story takes place during the early Meiji period in Japan and follows a former assassin from the Bakumatsu, named Himura Kenshin, who becomes a wanderer to protect the people of Japan.

Watsuki wrote this series upon his desire of making a shōnen manga different from the other ones that were published at the time, with Kenshin being a former assassin and the story taking a more serious tone as it continued.

The manga revolves around themes of atonementpeace, and romance."

And so it was about a former assassin trying his best to atone for the lives he took during war times and also, to protect the people around him.

The female lead names Kamiya Kaoru was being acted by the actress Emi Takei, who took in Himura Kenshin despite knowing his past after some time but still, I guess love did the magic.

And well, there were some bad people, in fact assassins who couldn't revert back to being a commoner, started revolting against the current government. Hence Himura Kenshin had to stop them.

I watched the anime and then there was definitely a pretty big difference in the story plot as seen in the movie.

Well, partly due to the time constraint and also, there were really some real drama shown in the anime who couldn't be really expressed well with the movie in real life.

Also, I like the fact that the movie actually focused on the romance part of Kenshin and Kaoru, whereby the anime was a little too strict and serious.

Do watch the movie if you like, it's pretty much something you don't see these days.

A very special story plot indeed and also, that subtle romance here and there is too cute xD

Last but not least, a handsome picture of my beloved Satou Takeru :3

Maybe just how the anime looks like:

That's all, folks! <3

I saw Kyoto Inferno two weeks ago and I am going to watch the last installment on September! I never expected the movie to be exactly the same as the anime so what I was looking forward to were the scenes that got included, if they were really that important. The stills... those moments in anime wherein the character just freezes to concentrate or to wait for the right moment to attack are always cool but they seem awkward in live action movies, ahaha xD I am just happy that the anime is really based on real Japan so the setting in the movie and anime are not too different xD
