There are 23 consonants in pinyin. They are b p m f  d t n l g k h j q x zh ch sh r z c s y w

You put the consonant with the vowel and then add the tone to form pinyin.

üan in pinyin combined with consonant 'y' is written as yuan. It is spelled that way because the vowels i and u cannot be by themselves, thus they have to add y or w before i and u.

I like the course because it's like a challenge. If you knew me, I like challenges. This is also a new way to learn a new language. Mandarin is a language my school doesn't teach. This is also a way to learn more of my culture of being Chinese.

Keke, YAY! You've done it:)) Keke, I know for sure you didn't cheat because of the way you wrote the order of the "consonants"!

Now I want to point out some of the mistakes that you have.

For #2. shu and par are NOT a consonant NOR a vowel. Thus, it is neither. The right answer would have been (n).

For #4. dou3. The accent should be place on the O instead of the U.

I couldn't really see the accents' on the "i" but I assume you would have gotten them correct. Also, you had a different tone for some of the words as well. But, you'll be let off the hook because I was mainly looking for if you knew where to put the accent marks.

So, congrats for doing your first assignment! You had received 9 points!
