face - Myoung Mina was born with light brown eyes, with a small beauty mark on the corner of the left eye, and a thin nose. there is light acne on the forehead and cheek. she is slightly tan after being outside in the sun during her childhood. her vision is realy poor, so she wear glasses or contacts.

personality: mina is overall a wonderful person. she treats other people with respect and is always positive around others, even strangers. she is often seen are preppy for being so enthusiastic no matter what the topic is. formerly a cheerleader, she is always showing good sportsmanship, and never rubbing something in someone's face. going to school in america as the only asian in her school, she was often bullied. she would be called names and be asked if she eats dogs. because of this, she grew quiet and sensitive. after moving to south korea, she experienced less bullying, but still kept quiet and grew irritated at some specific topics, such as feminism and western trends. she was often short tempered and would ignore everyone when she was mad. afterwards, she would feel guilty and apologize later. she started becoming arrogant after being voted the most beautiful person in school during her eighth grade year. she started to show off her beauty and singing. of course, many girls didn't like the way she acted and hated her. mina was also the valedicorian for her senior graduation. she did exceptionally well in school, earning all honors and being placed in classes above her grade. after achool, she would volunteer at a local animal shelter and help other people, as well. overall, she is a charitable person, with a nice and caring personality, but she can sometimes be arrogant and short tempered.
background: Myung Mina was born on July 3, 1996 in Brooklyn, New York to Lisa Jang and Eunho Myung. The family made their last name Myung as it was a tradition for wedded females to take the husband's last name. she was an only child. For about 4-5 years living in an apartment in rural Brooklyn, they moved to Jeju when her other relatives were planning to move there as well. they lived in a two story house in the city and attended school with Boo Seungkwan, which was also her neighbor.
In school, she was often on of the top students. she would also join many clubs and volunteer to help the disadvantaged people. she would often join run or walks to fund for many charity networks. she wasn't very popular, but made a lot of friends. in 8th grade. she joined the soccer team and ran distance for track. her mother encouraged her to become an engineer after Mina took a career class in 7th grade. howver, after watching a video of SNSD, she set her goal to become a kpop idol. she found and auditioning flyer for SM Entertainment while riding the bus to school and went to audition as a singer. she continued to study in school while being a trainee and sucessfully graduated high school as the valedictorian. she applied for seoul university and yonsei university and was accepted into seoul university.
trainee life: she began training when she was 15. After meeting Choi Seungcheol, a trainee at Pledis she met in her second year, she decided to drop out of SM and audition for Pledis. Pledis accepted her and she began to train until six months when she felt uncomfortable in Pledis because she couldn't keep up with what the instrustors were teaching compared to what they taught at SM. she left Pledis after six minths and waited for SM to hold another round of auditions. She auditioned in the SM global auditions and made it into the final rounds with many other contestants. Compared to the first time she auditioned and now, she showed great improvement in her dancing and breathing. She passed all the rounds and made it to the final round. She was accepted again and began training in the end of 2013. She enrolled into SOPA for her high school years and graduated while she was still a trainee. She did exceptionally well in singing and acting, but did bad in dancing. Often times, her teacher would scold her for messing up the choreo. She was the top vocalist between the trainees and was praised by SNSD's Taeyeon, too. She would always try to improve her dancing by watching dance tutorials of other SM artist songs. In the midst of training, she learned how to play the guitar and sang acoustic for her monthly assessments. When she wasn't training, she would be volunteering at local charities or going out with her fellow trainees to eat lunch. on other days when she was allowed to rest, she would go to the amusement park with seungcheol or other trainees.But, after her hopes getting up of the idea of her debuting and then disappointed that she won't be in the line up, Mina is often undecided if she should stay a trainee or go to college.

personality: Choi Seungcheol is literally an angel. he is very supportive and optomistic, which made Mina decide to not quit being a trainee. he is a go happy person that is very caring and is a really good shoulder to lean on.
however, he's always choosing what they do, eat, go. being the natural leader he is, it's natural for him to take initiative. although it doesn't mind to Mina, it can get a little annoying when she wants to eat at a specific place, but Seungcheol chooses something different.
background: She and Seungcheol becam very good friends after their encounter at the convience store. they are always texting each other after their practice ends. seungcheol didn't start crushing on her until after mina moved to pledis and saw how hard she worked to debut. he admired her determination and soon found himself liking her when she hugged him for the first time. (she cried about how she couldn't keep up at pledis and wanted to quit and he comforted her by her hair and giving his shoulder to cry on. mina then hugged him in graditude.) after mina restarted training at SM, she still kept in touch with seungcheol. whenever she was off, she would be volunteering at local shelters with seungcheol or going to smusement parks with him. he is the reason why mina loves riding rollercoasters. he is always dragging Mina to amusement parks and setting bets on who would buy ice cream. they are always together and act like a couple. although they're not dating (yet), Seungcheol is happy to just be friends with her.
fans began to see seungcheol in the streets of Seoul with a mysteriouos girl. after doing some research, they found out that she was an sm trainee and immedaitely bashed her. it made the predebut group SEVENTEEN, the group seungcheol was set to debut in, the most searched topic on Naver. the group was looked in a negative way for many months, for a predebut group to already have a scandal, they lost many fans. but pledis and SM clarified that they were just friends when they were trainees together and kept in touch. after the scandal had calmed down and fans knew that she was just a close friend to seungcheol, they stopped bashing her.
how they met: they met while he was at the convience store with the predebut SEVENTEEN. she accidentally hit him with the refridgerator door to get a bottle of iced tea and made up for it by buying ramen for him to eat. they began to share inforamtion about each other and found that they were both trainees for different companies. after exchaning numbers, they parted ways but still kept in touch even after many years.
