OTL Attack on Titan Readers! Help (Confused)

Hey guys,

So this is for everyone who has read the Attack on Titan manga.

Honestly, the art is pretty awful(more so the humans are drawn awful), in my opinion, but at the same time it’s not so bad that I feel like crying when I see it. (Who knows maybe it’ll grow on me in time or something) Anyway, I’m giving it a try and this is where my question comes into play:

Did the anime add a lot more to the storyline or what, like did it add those training episodes in for the hell of it? Because I’m reading through volume one of the manga right now and I’m on chapter three and they’ve already completed their training and I read nothing about it, so uh, am I missing chapters or were they never there to begin with? Like did the anime just add that all in to drag it out or what? /confused/ OTL Help.

some of shonen-manga had awful art, indeed, unlike shoujou-manga that drawn prettily. but they had awesome storyline!
nope, you didn't missing chapters, the story fast forwarded and they've finished the training. but as the story goes, there would be a lot of flashback (and the training-era also included) so you'll know about it in the end and about the root between the characters' relationship.
the anime didn't really differ a lot from the manga, only the sequence in which you view the events. howsoever, the manga did include conversations and situations that didn't appear in the anime, so that's why I prefer to read the manga (and it was in more advance chapter than the anime)
