Sensitive Subject

Just a little rant/personal moment.

But this topic is really sensitive to me. And I'm sure it is to a lot, if not, every author out there. But plagiarism is horrid. Please don't do it. I hate it when authors stop posting/take down their stories/move to a different site because of this issue. It has happened countless times before and honestly it gets really frustrating. So please DON'T plagiarize! It frustrates the author of the original piece of work, the mods of the site, and ALL of the readers AND yourself. So just don't do it. Save yourself and everyone else the headache.

You may be asking why I'm finally writing about this issue, so here it is. First of all, just recently, one of my favorite author has taken down their stories because of this issue, and it pisses me off because their stuff was really good and needed so much more readers, and I would've liked it if their stories were featured, but unfortunately their work were copied and posted by someone else claiming if as their own causing them to completely pull away from this site. I'm baffled because... SERIOUS? You couldn't think of something else to write about? UGH! Anyways...

This issue has been on my mind for awhile and I'm just a bit iffy on uploading my stuff. I'm not saying that my stuff is good enough to be plagiarized, but I don't know if someone out there will do it or not, so I'm just a bit... *sigh* worried. Doesn't mean that I will stop uploading my stuff, but please if you do see someone using my work and claiming it as their own, please do tell me. That also brings me to this point. IF ANY OF MY STORIES SOUND/LOOK/IS, IN ANYWAY, super similar and/or almost identical to some other story, please do tell me. I don't want to be jocking off someone else's work, even if it's unintentionally. As a writer (especially a fanfic writer), it's really hard to decide whether it's plagiarism or not considering the common storylines and whatnot, BUT you can tell when something is OBVIOUSLY copied.

Anyways, with that out of the way, please please PLEASE do not plagiarize and copy other's hardwork. Thank you.

Jesus, all my friend's works are getting stolen :c That freakin . I'm always scared that someone will plagiarize my work. It just cause people don't have integrity to make their own stories. sighh, I just shake my head at these people. I promise to tell you if I see any stories that are yours that are uploaded by another person.

I had someone translate my work without permission once of my old account :( It's not technically plagiarism but it did hurt knowing they didn't ask me first, sure they left credit (I think) but either way I like it when people ask for stuff like that it's common courtesy. Plagiarism is a huge no no. Sure it might just be fanfics, but, fanfic authors have every right to get mad if someone copies our hard work like that word for word.

Now being inspired is one thing, but, downright copying? Pathetic.

We all have brains do we not? Start using them instead of plagiarizing others. I like seeing people support authors who have been copied ^^ Thanks for sticking up for them!
