Highschool like College (Jerome Balanlay)

FIRST week of class. I jus say many things had happened- the things you expected most and the things you expected least.

We're still in high school but I feel like and we feel more like we're in College. I said college because our schedules work like one. We change classrooms every period just like in college. Like for example, our room for the first period is in Room 203. When the bell rung, signaling for the next period, we would went to another classroom. This time, we're in the third floor.

When the bell rung again, it will be for a short break. We repack our things, fix ourselves and there we set off again. Going to the next classroom and wait for the next period to start.

Actually, we do have a 'fixed' room. A residential area where we really study and conduct our learning. Room 203 is what I mean. And that point, our room had the so far innovative educational tool called 'E-board'. Short for 'Electronic Board'.

I do believe that having an E-board made us feel like in College. Aside from that, I could say that it's obvious that many teachers want to use this tool- the reason why we have to switch rooms every other period it permitted and needed.

It's a good that our room had the priviledge to own one of the E-boards in school. It's useful for us students for learning. For the teachers, it's teaching.

Maybe some will think that switching room is sort of eating time. In our part, it's just alright. Honestly speaking, I think it's cool. Because of our routine, we even called ourselves, "MLQ College." Sounds cool right?

Okay, let's go to the real thing. Realistic thinking. Come to think of it. It was really tiring to go to another room then go back to another room. What I said a while ago, I eat them.

In reality, our adviser was intimidated by this routine. They make choices. One, if we permanently placed another room. Two, the E-board will be the one to be placed in respective rooms in accordance to the schedule of usage.

If we choose the latter, all our time for doing a makeover in Room 203 will be wasted because we will permanently lose our beloved 'space'. If we choose the former, it will take time to bring and assemble it.

If I were to choose between the two, I'll choose the former. But I do have a better idea: Why not all rooms should have such tools? Wouldn't it be more happier if all rooms have these equipments?

A good idea. But only an idea. But looking to rose-coloured glasses, I do see that someday not only the rooms in our school could have one but also all the classroom through our school.
