First of all, no...you really do not have to agree with the ByunTae couple. Really. That is not my point here at all. And yes, Baekhyun is my favorite in EXO-K. OT9 though sorry, no bias there. Babies.

It's ironic how at one point or another you have wanted to be an idol just to be close to "oppa" or "unnie", and in your wildest of fantasies you've created the perfect confessions, and the romantic hide-and-seek from the cameras and hordes of upset fans. But never did you imagine that the same words you spit out to destroy these people "because you're an idol, you're asking for it, so live by our rules", those same exact words are the words you would be getting. And that is blatant hypocrisy. Imagine being in their position.

It's unfair, right? And now try to think on what your sin was. What could you have possibly done to deserve that? Be a human and attempt human behavior? I won't say it's that they are "in love" because I wouldn't know and that's beyond cheesy right now, but stone me if you have not felt that way, acted upon it, and if you say you haven't then explain to me your butthurt.

And now imagine having to apologize for doing nothing wrong, because apparently you're not allowed to engage with anyone else but your most popular ship and you have absolutely no say in your own decisions. None at all. And you have to apologize for that.

Now go back to your current position and think back when you claimed—fully convinced—that because you supported their performances, bought their albums, cheered for them and bought them stuff they didn't ask for...that because you called yourself a fan, you claimed that they belonged to you.

Really? Does 22 year-old Byun Baekhyun born in Bucheon on the 6th of May, whom most of you have never met or spoken to (and I can almost assure you, never will) belong to you? He's YOURS? Byun Baekhyun does not belong to easily impressionable teenagers. And if you're a noona fan, he does not belong to your immature self either, but congratulations on proving yourself ignorant. Bravo. You sound like a friendzone, entitling yourself and playing the nice guy card.

Byun Baekhyun like Kim Taeyeon, like Hwang Tiffany, like Nichkhun, Yoona, SeungGi, like Wu Yifan because he's somehow dragged into it, like anyone else in the Korean pop industry belongs to themselves and their decisions. Why? It's a job. They get paid to be on your screen and your ipods, not to please your brat demands and appease your tantrums.

So to the Sones complaining about how your Taetae has betrayed you by dropping hidden messages to her boyfriend on her IG, I'll have you know she created that account for her fans and for herself, to reach out to you when you demand for more, and she had fun, but that was until you decided she was no longer worthy of privacy. Did she ask for this by exposing herself a little? No, because it is your basic duty to respect. Next thing you know, you'll be telling her what to eat for lunch next Tuesday, otherwise she's a terrible person wrecking with your poor hearts. Come on. The least she could do is publicly greet her boyfriend and introduce him to you without violating the book of rules SM already weighs down her shoulders. She wouldn't need to resort to hints if it weren't for you, because SM doesn't seem to care with all these couples being revealed lately. So no, she didn't lie, she followed marketing rules set by her sponsoring company. She didn't need to follow yours. You don't have to agree with the relationship, but accusing her of being in the wrong doesn't sound like being a fan at all. We are fans, not her mother.

To those exotics who have the nerve to insult Taeyeon, and to those Sones who believe they need to attack Baekhyun because of a MUTUAL DECISION FROM BOTH CONSCIOUS PARTIES, I would not even bother saying anything had it not been for Taeyeon's apology. You base your vitriol on having ownership over them, on having a better judgement for their lives than they do and on protecting your OTP. Sigh.

Baekhyun did not lie to you either. He did not play with your achy breaky fan heart, he just has no obligation to do everything you tell him to as you believe it is your right to, simply because you cannot separate whatever goes on in your head and your fanfics from reality. He isn't hurting his group either, because this isn't something that belongs in a schedule or a paycheck. This belongs to Byun Baekhyn from Bucheon, not EXO's Baekhyun, and if anything I'm guessing s are being supportive.

And finally, to those who decided you are no longer fans for something as trivial as this: good, and thank you! The last thing they need is your childish antics dragging after their busy feet, because obviously you do not know what support actually is.

So sure, feel upset if you liked Baekhyun THAT much, go ahead. Take some time if Taeyeon was that significant to your journey in life. Ship on. Taeny and Baekyeol forever! Be my guest and disagree with this couple or any couple and don't encourage it, but don't flatter yourself and assume you actually have the privilege to oppose something way out of control. Please. When you begin to insult these people, you lose all of your dignity.
