BACKGROUND
HISTORY:
• 0 (0-2) → When Jooshil was born, she was originally the child of a single mother. This woman was poor and had little resources when it came to taking care of a small child. She was left in a lonesome alley way and was found by a couple who took care of her for nearly two years until they were killed in an attempt to cross the borders. Having been found by a member of the crew, she was given over to YG Republic navy soldier, who turned out to be her future adoptive father.
• 2 (2-13) → After being found, she was adopted into a working family with two children of their own; a boy and a girl. She was raised to work and help others in need and was taught how to take care of herself in times of need. Her curious nature often landed her in trouble, but it taught her how to sneak around without being discovered.
• 16 (14-18) → She was allowed to board her first ship alongside her father and older brother, Inbum. This continued for an entire four years where she would join them and receive training from crew members in things like sword fighting and navigating a ship. One day, however, the ship was attacked by hostile sailors, during which her father was stabbed trying to protect them. Jooshil earned herself a scar shortly before killing her first human ever, which was a memory for life.
• 21 (18-22) → After what happened abroad the ship, Jooshil pulled back from her activities at sea and focused on working at home instead. However, when her brother was reported to be have been killed under an enemy attack, she rece again to the ship. She became a temporary navigator when the old became sick, showing off her potential. It didn't take long for her to become an active member, making her consider joining the island's navy.

Unable to control her own curiosity, she actually boarded the ship on her own in order to find out who owned it. She was discovered by Cho Bae, the ship's cook and surgeon, on deck and attempted an escape when her foot got caught in the rope, making her face meet the floor along with the rest of her. He found it mildly amusing and decided to help her patch up, not revealing his identity in spite of it. When he started questioning her presence, she started muttering about bad coordination and observations she had made on the ship's condition and lack of proper control of certain *ahem* parts. She decided to stay after telling him about all the improvements needed, tired of being part of an ordinary ship, not truly knowing what she had gotten herself into.
