Just ask him. Don't wait for him to do something, that's just kind of silly. Whether you like him and he doesn't like you or he likes you or you don't like him or maybe you both like each other... However it ends up, if he lets that ruin your friendship, then I don't know if that's the kind of guy you want to be friends with. If not, you're still friends with him, so no harm in just talking to him. I mean. Not something to worry about.

Try this, spend more time with him, go to sport games, plays, stores, and other place in groups. Just put yourself on his radar. Then start casually flirting with him. Try this for 30 days. If he likes you (and has any guts) he'll ask you out.

To me, that just sounds like friendship. I could be wrong, but if a guy likes you, he'll most likely talk to you for many hours, including the night. When i say "night" i'm not talking about 1AM or 2AM, but i mean 5AM, or longer.

Just because he makes silly faces at you, it doesn't need to mean anything. Talking about stupid things doesn't have to mean anything either. Maybe he listens because he care about you as a friend? And he asks you for help in math, because he trusts you and he's comfortable with you? Every guy laughs and smiles, so that's not rare.

I'm not trying to burst your bubble, i'm just sharing from my experience =) I have guy friends just like the way you described him, they all do the same thing. When guys says something, they mean it literally. There's no other thoughts behind it, he tells the whole truth.

But from what i've learned, if a guy likes someone, they tend to drop hints, but they're careful that they don't reveal much. Example: "There's this girl i like, she's very (blah blah blah)".

Guys don't really talk about it openly if they like someone, they mostly talk about it to the person they like. So if he's said something like this, it could be a sign =)

But if all you have to go after is what you wrote in this post, then no, i wouldn't say he liked you anymore than as a friend.

He like you :D I would totally bet on it. he probably even thinks more of you than you think especially if he laughs and smiles at you ;D
