Why are there so many of them on this website and on Facebook?
I mean, what's so bad about just being...yourself?

Why do people constantly fake information up about themselves?
For instance:
(Not real, just an example.)

Person A=Subsriber

Person B= Author named Jasmine, age 15, single, from America.

~Scenario~

A: OMFG I AM A BIG FAN OF YOURS. MY NAME IS BOB.

B: Hey Bob, my name is...Christine (Your name is Jasmine =.=)

A: Hey Jasmine! How old are you?

B: I'm 18~! (Clearly 15...)

A: Where are you from then?
B: I'm from Korea, but I live in Japan now (No, you're American.)

A: OHHHHHhhh, do you have a partner then?!
B: Of course! He kissed me yesterday :D Haha~ (No girl, you're single.)

Yes, I understand that hiding your identity is fairly important in case of stalkers and such, but...I find it ridiculous. All the information about me is true, because I respect my subscribers, and I love myself for who I am.

Basically, this random blog post is just...'Why do people like faking up information about themselves?'...Is it really that bad to admit who you are?
