NOVEL UPDATE! New Title & Submitting for Publication soon!

Hey everyone (: I think I lost a lot of my readers after a ~2 year hiatus but for all those who still stick around and check up, thank you so much! Bear hugs to you all ^_____^

Today I finished writing the upcoming novel (& I have no where to share it but here because...well.. I don't want anyone on Facebook to know until the publication is complete and everything is official wahahaha)

Previously my novel was titled "The Collector". Quite fitting for my plot, but also quite... common. There are a lot of books titled The Collector, and at first I didn't care. And then I went to the local bookstore and in the "New Release" shelves, two rows were taken up by a single book titled... The Collector. I had a face palm table flipping moment emotional break down in the store and after snapchatting my misery to a few friends I went on an immediate hunt for a new book title.

I had a long list of over 7 possibilities and had a few people vote on them. In the end I chose a title no one voted on (but after reasoning with them why, everyone ended up voting for it... or maybe I'm just good at manipulating people...hm....)

The new title is: The Stargazer's Scrapbook

All 6 chapters have been completed and briefly edited by myself. I'm currently running it by a hanfdul of friends for editing before doing my final touch ups and then submitting them for formatting. Meaning... I should be seeing my first draft mailed to me around July... and the estimation is it'll be published by September.

In the meanwhile I'll share another little snippet with you all. This excerpt isn't from an actual chapter, it's actually the little blurb that will go on the back of the book. Tell me what you think? (If it totally let me know so I can change it before I actually send it in please hahaha) If you picked up a book and read the back, would you be interested?

---

Lisanna Spring grew up as an energetic, fun-loving child who loved listening to stories about her parents when they were kids. Because her parents were always busy with work, she spent much of her days with her grandmother, a memory collector who loved to tell stories with impeccable accuracy and vividness to her granddaughter. When Lisanna’s grandma lost in a fight with Alzheimer’s disease and was forced to trade her beloved babysitting role for an ironic bedridden ending, she leaves behind a beautiful scrapbook as a memento for Lisanna. After a period of hysterical denial, Lisanna discovers the dying wish her grandma had left for her in the scrapbook and intends to fulfill it by becoming a collector of more than just memories.

Thank you so much (:

Firstly congratulations on your first book; I was just wondering where did you find a publisher? I was thinking of writing and selling my works for a cancer fund for children in my country.

Hehh...simple but authentic hehehe. I'll have to read it over several times to give it the best judgments I could; my comments might be different tomorrow but hopefully it helps in giving more than one perspective???? >< haha.

For now, I think the first line is borderline cliché...JUST MY OPINION. BY NO MEANS IS IT THE TRUTH. that is just my opinion. the end drew me in more than the beginning, which for some can be a good thing - by the end of the description one could go like Oh, this sounds pretty interesting! I think I'll read it. But I feel like the majority of the population needs to be hooked in the beginning. After all, in AP Psychology it states that first impression matters a lot; even in conversation, the first or two sentences 'color' the rest of the words spoken/read...so just be a leeeetle careful hehehe :) Also be careful about diction...just a tiny dust-fatness-ish of wordiness...

but it sounds verrry interesting!! DON'T GET ME WRONG I LOVE IT <3 always cheering for u~
