Foreign language noob

I am such a noob when it comes to speaking another language. I've been studying Vietnamese for 3 years now, but the moment I am asked to say something to an elder, I freeze.

Like I just came from my friends house and she asked me to say something to her mom in Viet. In my head, Im like "Ok. Greet her and then introduce yourself." and I totally pump myself up in my head and then I open my mouth and I just ended up saying Hi DX

 

I am always like this. I have so much to say, but then I freaking chicken out. Ugh!!!!!

 

 

Anyone else have this problem??

Yes, not with Vietnamese though.
Their is this Korean lady that I always visit at her store, I plan out every thing I was going to say, but when I greet her, its just the lame "anneyonghaseyo Kim-ssi, ottokke jinaseoy?" lame right.

YES OMG. Like I can speak in fine in class and to the teacher but when I actually meet someone who speaks it I am like o.o" 'errm hello?'
