Role playing tips?? Anyone??

Hey, y'all

so I've just recently started to Roleplay

"wow good job, Abz, you just made a huge breakthrough." "SHUT UP, ME!!"

anyways, ive started to try it out for the reason that I want to procrastinate and take my mind off of updating

but the thing is....I don't know a thang about roleplaying O_o;

don't look at me that way! I'm not an idiot! Most of the time...

I know the basis of a role play- I just have a few...questions...

some might be legit questions, some might be very idiotic. No judging!!:

1) how do you interact with other role players (this is an AFF role play btw) - do you just go up on their profile and be like "yo, wassup, person. I'm new. Nice to meet you." Like what???!

2) wtf is "dating" in role plays?? (Don't give me that look -_-) like, how do you "date" in a role play? Do you just start talking and after getting to "know each other" you just be like "hey, let's date." Like what even-?! (I'm so awkward, I'm sorry)

3) how do you "explain"/show you're changing scenaries(?)??? And how do you interact with "supporting characters" outside of the rp?? Such as, if you're at a "job" or in a restaurant, kind of thing?? (I'm sorry did that make sense even????)

thats really it for now...just the interacting part is what I'm having trouble on, really

Just go ahead on there walls and greet them with a simple hi or welcome~
As for dating after talking a while and realizing your into them you just sort of form a couple and go on dates and such~ You could be like so we've been talking for a while and I"m into you..or something like that.

For interacting with other roleplayers, its really easy. just post on their wall and introduce yourself, unless the idol you are roleplaying as knows that person or if you're in the same group.
"hi, snsd's leader taeyeon here!" or you can just say, "hi, i'm taeyeon! nice to meet you!"
it's really easy. after that, just ask how are they doing and they should ask you the same. maybe ask them if they want to do anything, and roleplay like going to the beach or the park, something like that.
roleplay dating is when your character is dating another character. as you start to become familiar with roleplaying, its really easy to start developing crushes on other roleplayers, honestly. i've been in a lot of roleplay relationships and they're so fun- anyway. dont take it too seriously, ya know? its really fun though.

i really enjoy roleplaying, so im happy to see another people thats starting to roleplay. you can even make really close friends with other roleplayers, i have a few of them myself.

Well for starters depending on the type of roleplay you can go up to someone and say 'Hello! I'm *insert whatever character you have* and greet the person that way but that's typically seen in first pov roleplays rather than third.

As for dating in roleplays it's kind of like how you'd meet someone in real life. Most roleplays want you to get to know the characters first before they jump in a relationship with each other, kind of a good rule to have I think since I've seen some rpers get in a relationship on the first day O_O Just doesn't work like that ^^;

For interractions sometimes maybe the characters, depending on how they are, they are shy or awkward when they first meet? I'm not sure how to explain that one so excuse my rambling XD But anywho welcome to the roleplaying world :D Hope you have an enjoyable time ^^ I know I have.
