She's very girly, but she would wear comfortable clothes at home, and casual clothes on a daily basis. As an idol, she would dress up a bit more, but still manages to keep herself from skintight outfits. She's not too fond of revealing clothes, and will never wear a bathing suit in public except when diving in a swimming pool. Personality: She's the girl-next-door type, who is very gentle, passionate, and thoughtful. She is an obedient and mature daughter, always tranquil and relaxed in public (at least with first impressions); she never gets angry. If she does, she hides her fury, does meditation or yoga to get rid of it whenever she has the chance to be alone, and takes a few deep breaths. She would never yell, or criticize someone aloud. She's a hard worker, and a respectable young lady. She always smiles, and laughs with her friends. She's very dorky and fun around them, but she maintains her limit so she's not too crazy. An outsider would see this side of her as her second impression. She's someone whom everyone can get along with, although some people would hate her for getting such attention. She doesn't mind the snobs, and focuses on studies -yes, she's studious, too. She would loosen up and joke around with her friends, but she would never lose her composure except around her closest best friends. She believes in equality. She's a girly girl with a good attitude. She can be lively, but a wimp to heights and amusement park rides. She's a very sweet and fun girl with poise and maturity. Likes:
• Music. This wonderful piece of life gave her the motivation to dance and sing well. With the help of her close friends, she managed to dance and sing along to music without her strict parents' knowledge... until she told them she wanted to be a train

• Sweets. Especially cinnamon rolls, licorice, pocky, sweet potatoes, and cream puffs. She just happens to have that sweet tooth who prefers sugar over vegetables and fruits (even though she's fine with eating those too).

• Animals. She's crazy over cats and dogs, yes, but don't trust her around ANY little creatures. She might squeeze them to death on accident! If she's allowed to play with an animal, she'll ignore everyone else around her and only pay attention to them. She's very good at handling and taking care of them, but sometimes she pays too much attention that even the animals would get annoyed.

• Kids. She falls for every baby, and toddler. She loves the pure and innocent look they hold in their big, curious eyes. She even volunteered at daycare centers in her high school years, and babysitted children in middle school. Her love for kids makes her group members and family think she'll be one of the first- if not the first- to marry and produce a family.

• Aegyo. Yes, she's a er for them. Literally, she finds failed attempts cute because it didn't turn out the way they expected. Her heart can easily be "captured" if someone does aegyo to her. She relents too easily. Although, she doesn't use aegyo much. It's just when others do it. If someone asks her to do it, she always she doesn't know how, and her attempts just make it funny rather than cute.

• Tea. She loves it. She loves the warm sensation, and the natural scent. Any flavor suits her. With only two teaspoons of sugar, she can drink any tea throughout the day if you give her a full teapot.

• Her tongue (or brain). Yes, she loves her sharp tongue. She loves the expressions of everyone when they realize she knows hot to talk back. She especially loves it when they try to challenge her. Every time she wins, she silently thanks her parents for forcing her to study as a kid. If it wasn't for her silent bickers and debates in her mind, she probably wouldn't be as good as she is now.

• Sports. She's not good at every sport, but thanks to her athletic abilities, she's a fairly great player when it comes to volleyball, tennis, diving/swimming, race, and gymnastics. Her young dreams were full of Dream Team appearances.

• Stories. No not reading them, listening to them. She lives it when people tell her tales like ghost stories. She's a scaredy-cat, okay everyone knows she easily gets creeped out by anything that pops up out of no where, but even so she loves listening to ghost stories.

• Best friends. Cheesy, I know, but she loves her friends so much, because she can't even be herself around her parents without being scolded for not acting like a proper lady. Without her friends, she probably won't be so good at sports, talking back, dancing, and yes, rapping too.

Dislikes: 
• Critters. Or, at least, those nasty cockroaches, sneaky spiders, blood- mosquitos, and hated fleas. Believe it or not, she would scream for her life, and faint if it's within her bubble.

• Revealing clothing. Never would she wear lingerie or bikinis in public. Never would she wear skin-colored clothing in public. Never would she even dare to consider wearing something too y in public. She hates it, and the erted stares from others.

• Anything spoiled. Namely spoiled kids, spoiled food, spoiled medicine, spoiled heirs. She even hates the word "spoil" itself. Everyone's a hypocrite, she knows that, but she would never ask her parents for something she wants unless she really wants it, but she can only get it with money (it must be useful, or else she won't buy it.) If she needs to earn whatever it is, she won't ask for anyone's help. She'd work to earn it by herself.

• Heights. Aforementioned in the personality section, she's terrified of heights. Visiting an amusement park and being dared to ride a rollercoaster or something is anything but fun for her. Usually she can't sleep in transportation, but when it comes to airplanes, that's the only solution she's got to get through the flight "calmly".

• Fish. No, she's not allergic to it, so yes she tasted it before, but no she doesn't like it one bit. She used to love fish as a kid before elementary school, but then she just had this disgusted feeling when she glanced at a fish one day, and threw up eating the fish. Losing her appetite for a whole week, she never laid a single fish in again. Today, she hates fish with all her heart. She's very sensitive to it's smell and appearance, which is a reason why she avoids fish altogether.

• Her family's strictness. She hates it so much, but tries thinking positively. She tries to appreciate it because it made her the good girl she is today, but she still can't convince herself enough. She loves them for allowing her to become a trainee, and she loves them even more around times where they loosen up a bit, but she hates how stern and stoic they're always being. Therefore, she vows to never be like them as a future mother; which is one of the reasons why she loves laughing and having fun.

• No Freedom. She hates it when she's bossed around. It's alright if they are instructions/directions, or if it's her schedule, but if she's forced to do it, she hates it. She's very obedient, and no matter how much she hates forced orders, she can never bring herself to disobey or sadden someone. Unless the orders are blackmail or threat that could effect her life, or her competitiveness, then she wouldn't follow the orders.

• Amusement park rides. What else is there to say? It has heights, and great speed. They are scarier than ghost stories! At least for her anyway.

• Showing her vulnerable side. I'm not saying she's always strong, she just clearly hates appearing so vulnerable when listening to those ghost stories, or when she's forced to climb up high into the air. Haunted houses freak her out, and - ok, let's just say she's the complete scaredy-cat.

• Losing. She's not a sore loser, but she is a sore winner. A complete turn-off for her whenever she loses a simple game or competition. Whenever she loses, and strives harder to win at her second chances.

Hobbies: 
• Excersing. She's been doing it since middle school, so why stop now? She finds excersing fun and a nice warm up for the upcoming day.

• Ticking off Youngjae. Is there anything else to add? Those two are like Tom & Jerry, Yumi playing Jerry's role. Although, she's not really the prankster type. She's just one of those genii who likes ticking off her best friends. Youngjae, for that matter, just happens to hold the perfect role.

• Singing and Dancing. Well she loves music, so don't expect her to sit still.

• Sports. Mainly volleyball, race, diving, and gymnastics. Did I say she's pretty good at acrobatics?

• Playing her guitar freely. Sometimes her violin too, but mainly her guitar.

Habits: 

• Humming. She tends to hum in her sleep too. I know, it's creepy, especially when she hums to a dark song, not a cheery one.

• Sleeping dead. She doesn't even look like she's breathing, which leads to unintentionally tricking the members although she doesn't really mean to.

• Randomly playing angry birds whenever she's bored. Sometimes she'd make the sounds it makes for fun. Whenever she does, her members tend to laugh because the sound appears out of nowhere.

• Smiling. She smiles everywhere, anytime, to anyone. Her parents taught her to smile, and told her that smiling will make thinks easier for her.

• Pen spinning. She spins her pen while concentrating on whatever is in front of her. She also spins her pen whenever she's bored. It's a great distraction.

• Giggling. In her sleep. People ask her sometimes why she does, and says she supposes it's because of her dreams, although she rarely remembers them.

• Cracking her knuckles. She doesn't always do it, she usually cracks her knuckles to relieve a bit of stress, or before playing her guitar.

• Arching her back. Whenever she stretches her arms and legs, she tends to arch her back as well. She likes the feeling it gives off after stretching.

Trivia: 
•  She's arachnophobic. It explains why she squeaks and screams and cries whenever she sees a large critter near her.

• She's a bit altophobic. She can handle heights for a temporary amount of time when she's in her competitive mode, but she's usually terrifed of them. She could control the fear while diving, but she would sleep through the whole airplane rides, or crouch to the center of the floor when there's no seat on cable carts.

• She has a drivers' license, and thank God she's a safe driver.

• She used to drink occasionally with family and friends, but when she found out that one of her middle school close friends died of kidney disease (caused by the alcohol, according to the doctor), she gave up on drinking completely. With the help of medication, she managed to slip away from the alcoholic life in a short matter of time. She was never an addict anyway, so the medication helped restore her body until it was all "cleaned up".

• Her first impressions are always levelheaded and shy, but second impressions reveal her true self, since it's not the first time greeting that person anymore. She's an open person, so anyone could become a friend of hers. Although she chooses her close and trustable friends secretly, so that not even her parents know who she trusts. (It would be her best friend, Yoo Youngjae.)

• She's very flexible thanks to dancing, and she's very good at acrobatics and gymnastics. She's also very athletic and agile, so she's skilled in most sports that involve running, swimming, shooting, aiming, and throwing. Although she didn't play much basketball, football, or hockey. She's a good skater too, just not comparable with professional skaters.

• She took ballet lessons as a kid, so she knows a bit ballet, although she didn't get a chance on the pointe.

• She took a trip to USA once as a kid for two weeks because of her parents, so she picked up a good enough American accent to avoid the Engrish when speaking the language.

• She absolutely loves skinship. Don't hate her for it, it's something she'd always used since she was a kid. The idol she uses skinship the most with is Youngjae. She would use skinship with any close or best friend of hers- boy or girl- as long as they're comfortable with it.

• Youngjae and Yumi were best friends ever since they were in diapers. Their mothers were high school best friends, and raised their children together as if they were sisters. Because of this, Youngjae is like a brother to Yumi, and vice versa. They only see each other that way, even though fans tend to mistaken it and ship them together as an OTP.
• Yumi has a female pomerian puppy named "Cinnamon Candi" (don't blame her, ok? She's not good with names, and she thinks Cinnamon Candi matches her. XD) Nicknamed "Candi" and Cinna", that pup loves to play around. It doesn't bite, it's very friendly, but it tends to be grouchy at times so it would bark a bit. Yumi keeps the pomerian puppy with her in the dorm, but she has her cousin watch over Candi while she's out of town.

 

 

Background: Yumi's family first opposed to her dreams of becoming a dancer. Her parents hold so much pride for an obedient daughter like her, that they didn't have a second thought about what she wants, believing she's going the right path anyway. Yumi was always the calm and collected girl who never gets angry, and hides her fury and upset within herself. She always obeyed her parents, but this time, she finally broke a bit from her poise and revised a whole explanation as to why she wants be an idol -a dancer more specifically. Still opposing, she turned to her grandmother, who once was a dancer in her years, and Yumi's grandmother managed to convince her mother in letting her go live her dream. However, her father wanted her to study to become a fashion designer. With her grandmother's help, she convinced him that she was already a model that attends the school, and when she retires, she will open up her own fashion line. With that, both parents agreed, and sent her off to Seoul to live with her aunt and uncle. Her younger cousin kept her company, as she is an only child. Doing so, she treated him like a little brother, because during her trainee years, she needed someone to be with her, as all of her friends were left behind at Ujieongbu. She first auditioned at TS Entertainment with Youngjae, but she only trained for a year before auditioning for Cube. She always wanted to join Cube first, but she decided to see what it was like at TS before making her way over to Cube.

They love hanging out together, and take care of each other well. Youngjae is very protective over Yumi, and Yumi is like that hawk-eyed noona that watches her little brother's every move. They hold each other up to catch the other from falling.
Yoon Bora | 24 | SISTAR | Fun, energetic, hyper, friendly, caring, kind, competitive | Bora and Yumi met each other before Bora had debuted, and they realized they had a lot of similarities. So they became best friends, and even managed to keep in contact after Bora debuted, so Yumi heard a lot about what's going on in her idol life, while Yumi didn't have much interesting events in her trainee life. Whenever Bora had a rest day and hung out with her friends and family, she would invite Yumi, and the two would chat, catch up life, and play sports like soccer, or race. They get along very well.

Love Interest: Lee Minhyuk

Personality: Minhyuk is very dorky like the rest of BTOB, and he is very funny. He loves to joke around and have fun, and think positively about everything. He's considerate of others, and gets along with everyone. He has open arms like Yumi, inviting everyone to be his friend. He's hard-working, and agile. His competitive side shows how athletic he is, and even if he loses, he congratulates the other competitors and wishes them luck to win first place. He's kind and caring, and never gets angry at anybody. He's friendly, and everybody can get along with him. No matter what, he always tries to keep the atmosphere up, and helps out those who need it whenever he thinks he has the ability to help.

How you met: They met through Peniel, who is like a sweet little kid to Yumi, backstage when the guys where walking to the waiting rooms. Peniel had seen Yumi and the other members in the waiting room, anxious for their debut. Thanks to Peniel, Yumi was able to calm down more and was introduced to the BTOB members. The members were actually surprised Peniel knew Yumi, who was already a model before debut, and were especially shocked to see Yumi hug Peniel (remember, she loves skinship, and so does Peniel). After that, they happen to meet again during BTOB's filming of their MTV Diary, so she appeared for just 20 seconds of the show. Minhyuk liked her sweet and open personality, therefore when he was told to choose a girl for We Got Married (check the scene requests!), at first he thought of Yewon, but decided against it, and asked Yumi because he was interested in her.

How you interact: Yumi's nice and fun around everyone, so she treats Minhyuk like she would treat one of her friends. When she was asked for We Got Married, she decided to try it out for fun. During their filmings, they happened to get a lot closer, and became better friends. After she realized her feelings for him (she never dated anyone before), she started acting a bit more generous, and teased Minhyuk. She usually teases her best friends, so it was unusual of her to tease Minhyuk. Minhyuk started falling for her, but he doesn't know until the rat incident (check scene requests!), and didn't realize he was actually flirting with her. The way he treated Yewon in Romantic & Idol was different then the way he treated Yumi. He treated her like they were actually together, even off-camera. After the rat incident, she tries to avoid him a bit to stop the hating fans, which hurts Minhyuk a bit, but he manages to get to her, and you decided what happens next, author! :D

Training life: As a trainee, Yumi lived with her aunt and uncle. Her cousin would cheer her on since most of her friends were left back at Uijeongbu. Bora had debuted a couple months after they met, so they had different schedules. During her trainee years, she would work very hard, and even managed to make a couple friends. She tried rapping, but she's not very good. She could sing very well, and it improves every time she practices, but she's more of a dancer. She enjoyed singing, as she found it very fun and enjoyable. She realized she had a talent at acting, so she watched more dramas and practiced to improve her skills to become an actress. Her cousin and her would play a game were she would act out a character's role and he would have to guess who it was. He helped her practice overnight sometimes, and she returned the offer by helping him out with his homework and his studies for his exams. She never thought about giving up during her training years because she knew many idols went through more than her to get where they are, so she'll try just as hard as them. Her cousin, Bora, and Youngjae were her biggest supporters, even though Youngjae debuted first, and Bora only shared a couple months with her in their trainee years before Bora debuted.

Comments/Suggestions: I hope you like my character! I've been obsessed with this for a while... XD And yes, I got her name from Soyumi of Kiss&Cry, but I really like the name, and I think it matches my character, so I decided to use. I hope you don't mind! ^^ If you want me to change anything, let me know, and I'll see what I can do.

Scene Requests: Let her show up on Dream Team sometimes during the Female Group specials, and on We Got Married with Minhyuk (he should be the one choosing her though!). And they should be paired as a couple on Dream Team, and they should have a lot of fluffy moments! :D And at some point, Youngjae and Minhyuk should be with her backstage, and Minhyuk should get jealous at their close skin contact, so he should playfully pull her away and tell Youngjae, "Not when I'm around!" on camera! They should both laugh, and Youngjae should ship them together! :D
Because of their We Got Married production, YewonxMinhyuk supporters should start bashing and hating on Yumi. One day early in the morning, before the production of their next We Got Married episode, she should check the mail to find a beautifully wrapped gift box with her name on it, but not including the person that sent it. She should open it on the spot, with the few sasaeng fans watching her in excitement thinking it's from Minhyuk. The moment she opens the box, she should freeze from shock at the site of a large dead rat inside. Sh drops it and falls to the ground panting heavily, with the fans rushing over to see what's inside. She only held a blank stare, and just sit there with the fans trying to catch her attention. After half an hour, the production crew should come in with Minhyuk, only to find her on the ground with her few sasaeng fans around her, trying to wake her up from the shock. The moment a sasaeng fan had shook her shoulders, she snapped out of it, and the hate that the dead rat held had gotten to her, so she started crying hard. No one knew why Yewon's fans would go that far, so the production crew decided to cut their We Got Married episodes, and end it after two more episodes instead of four.
When Yewon learns about this, she should feel really bad on behalf of her fans, so she should apologize to Yumi in person, and claim that she never knew they did that, or would even go that far- which was true, not a lie. Yumi, being a forgiving person, said it was alright even though she decided to keep her distance a bit. Youngjae should be especially furious, and this should be around the time where she avoids Minhyuk. She should be very depressed, because the dead rat seriously laid a big scar on her heart.
Minhyuk should confess that his ideal type is Yumi, not Yewon anymore, and you decide what happens after that. :D Surprise me, author!!!
