Okay so every fan be out, talking 'bout their comeback theories and stuff. So imma do my own, just for fun and in the mood cuz their comeback is so freaking soon, I can smell it.

This will be a mix of theories I agree with and my own so yeah.

(Pictures to justify thing are up at the top, but don't worry, they are in order according to what is being said so it should make sense) if I can't link them I'll link the narration video for you guys to check it out yourselves.

1) First things first is the theory about who the 'main' members are for this comeback.

Candidate 1: Lay.

Now Lay has been picked out as he is in the middle of the group teaser pic and he is in the foreground compared to the other members so no matter what he has to stick out.

Candidate 2: Chanyeol.

Chanyeol is on the right of the group teaser picture however is also in the foreground.

Candidate 3: Xiumin.

Xiumin is on the left of the group teaser picture however in the foreground also.

Interesting points are that the three members listed above had their individual teaser pictures released without a reflection, however all other members did. Baekhyun was very recently added to the short list of members without a reflection and therefore Baekhyun is considered candidate number 4, however he wasn't in the foreground so I just added him in now ✌️.

2) Next point...

During introduction of MAMA music video, the narrator reads,

"An eye of red force created the evil that covered the heart of the tree of life and the heart slowly grew dry"

During this narration, the tree of life begins to go black. The tree is seen as the center of the whole exo planet thing going down. Lay is in the centre of the group teaser photo and his hair is black, symbolising the tree that has been covered in evil. The eye reference also refers to Kris and Luhan's eyes turning a red colour when their power comes out during the music video dramas last year.

3) Next the narration reads,

"The twelve forces split in two and create two suns that look alike into two worlds that seem alike"

With this the animation shows one flame being split into two, the flame representing Chanyeol's power which may be why he could be a main character in their next comeback. The two flames are also signs of passion, the passionate and angered flames which burned brightly in Luhan and Kris' eyes in the drama music video for Growl. This part will be explained at the end.

4) The narration continues with,

"To tend and embrace the tree of life, the legends hereby divide the tree in half and hide each side. Hence, time is over-turned and space turns a skew"

This resembles EXO split as two and hidden away from each other. During their debuting promotions the two sub-units were split and promoted separately. They then came together during Wolf and Growl as foreshadowing of what will be explained in point 6. 

5) "The legends shall now see the same sky but shall stand on different grounds, shall stand on the same ground but shall see different skies"

The part referring to different grounds represents Chanyeol and Xiumin. Chanyeol' power is flame, which is opposite to Xiumin's which is frost. The two are completely different and represent the two different grounds that EXO-K and EXO-M will stand on.

6) "The day the red force is purified, the twelve forces will reunite into one perfect root"

Here there are many points,

• Lay is stood in the middle of the group teaser picture. Kris and Luhan are the closest next to him and are on either side of him. Kris and Luhan who featured mainly in the Growl music video dramas are/have the red force. They contained the red glow in their eyes, which means possibly Luhan and Kris will have main roles in this comeback also.

• Lay is stood in the middle of Kris, Luhan and Chanyeol and Xiumin who are in the foreground with him. Chanyeol, Kris, Luhan and Lay all have hints of red in their hair which can be seen in the group teaser picture. Lay had orangey coloured hair during Wolf promotions, which symbolised him being purified. Now Lay is purified with his pure black hair, he is in the middle of the four others with red forces. Lay who's power is healing represents that he must be the one to heal and purify the red forces which are surrounding him.

• Lay really is the main point as he is the purifier who will purify the red forces in order to reunite the two halves of the tree of life and regain it's true form.
•  
• Lay also represents the tree itself, being surrounded by the red forces, the purified tree inside must find a way to blossom out and venture to find the two missing halves of its true roots.
•  
• Now remember what I said in point 4? Wolf and Growl showed the two halves joining together. This is just a demonstration of what is to come after the two halves are returned together to create a whole.
•  
• Leading on, as we know for this comeback EXO will be promoting as EXO-K and EXO-M again. This is returning to what was happening before the 'glimpse into the future' which Wolf and Growl gave us. "A new world shall open up". This meaning that a new world will opened up for now with the two sub-units being separated agin, however a new world which we should all anticipate which will be when the two worlds and twelve legends finally come back together again, not just as the fantasy which Wolf and Growl ignited.

7) The individual teaser pictures of the other members (with the black and white versus coloured reflections) shows the other legends being trapped inside the black and white, the other half do them (the coloured one) is something they can only see but can't yet have as the other half of their power source (the tree of life) is missing, therefore they can't become themselves fully unless the tree, red forces, and legends are purified and the two halves become a whole. This is much like Sehun's pre-debut teaser of him being trapped by himself with the reflection showing the other 11 members out of his reach.

8) Final point. Now although Baekhyun is not in any very interesting or key positions in the group teaser picture, Baekhyun doesn't have a reflection in his individual teaser photo either. Basing things on hair colour, those with lighter hair colours may not be purified yet, however Baekhyun's hair is also black which may represent him as a key figure to all of this also. In point 5 I mention how the narrator talks about how the two different grounds will see the same sky, this sky may be Baekhyun's light. Also, during the talks of purifying and the tree opening up a new world, the tree glows with light. I think this shows us that Lay has a companion to help him tackle and purify the red forces, however this companion is an outsider (someone from a different world to him) and he must find a way to get to this companion.

BOOM. I am a genius. Don't fight it. Don't deny it. But if I'm wrong then that's pretty embarrassing. It's called a theory for a reason guys ;)
