» how it all started
So we were searching for a jaejin photo on google images and then this particular photo of him hanging on a monkey bar (or something like that, can't really remember since it's so long ago) caught our eyes. We clicked into it and it somehow brought us to this website where there was something like a diary written below the jaejin photo. We got curious and started reading it, the contents were something about how shinee jonghyun was leaning on a car.
After that, JW started looking around the site and started reading a few of the stories there, saving their links and then going back to check for updates every once in a while.
The story we both read and really liked then was a featured beast junhyung x oc story. It was about how junhyung used money to hire the girl as her girlfriend. After finishing the story, we scrolled down the page and realised a box for comments, we wanted to leave a comment too since we enjoyed the story, only to realised that you need to have an account to comment. And that's when we decided, hey, why not we create an account to read and write stories too!

Our first and only username -mickeywithoutears, pronounced as mickey without ears. The story behind this username is more than simple. Our little sister have this mickey mouse soft toy which JW was playing with when we were creating our aff acount. She bended the ears of the mickey mouse soft toy behind and he just looked so hilarious! And there! We've came out with our username! XD
» why we continue to stay
To be honest, there were lots of times I thought about quiting aff. Life outside aff is just too busy for me to commit myself to aff as well. However, we didn't want to leave what we've started uncomplete, so we just kept on going. I couldn't bear to leave all my aff friends as well, I've met lots of nice people during my 3 years here! I'm so sorry I'm too busy these days to reply to all your wall posts and pms, however, I'm still trying my best to reply to whoever who came back to post on my wall again after all this time! For those I didn't reply to, I definitely did not forget you all either! I just couldn't find the time to reply to all of you, and I'm really sorry about it! Of course, other than the users on aff, it's still an awesome website, which is why we stayed till now :) I love how nichiren and AFFHelper is always trying their best to improve things on asianfanfics, we really appreciate it! I hope aff will continue on for a long long time! :D

For me, I'm someone who don't like to waste efforts and ideas, example like when I'm making a graphic, after I crop a picture, I try to use all of the part that I have cropped. So when we have a new idea, or started on something new, I don't like it if we were to stop half way and leave it incomplete >< That is definitely one of the reason why I stayed on aff, because I still have over-flowing ideas of fanfics that is waiting to be created! Plus, I like reading fanfics as well as writing them, even though my grammer aren't that good haha XD Also, just like when I'm playing game, I want to be one of the best, so even if we can't do it in a short period of time, I believe that if we stayed long enough, it will happen someday! Besides all that, aff have taught me a lot of things. I used to hate the sight of type written full-stop, so I always use an emoji to replace it when I chat with other people or write a message, but I actually don't mind using them now! Aff have also helped me improve my english and writing skills~ ^^ I like aff the way it is, and sometimes the updates too, I appreciate the improvements made and I hope aff will become more and more prosperous! :D

Our first graphics were made by JW on a andriod app called Picsart since we didn't have our own laptop then ><
soon after, JY finally got her own laptop and JW found and started using some website to make her posters.
and then, JY started using GIMP and she began taking over the poster making job.

a friend offered to transfer her shop to us, we accepted it and started juggling between the two shops "Sparkle Light Request Shop"

we saw how games were getting popular on aff, people posted them on blogs oftenly, so we came up with the idea of a game fic! "G U E S S; the challenge awaits you"
so we've been joining a lot of graphic competitions, so we thought... why not create our own? "MONSTAR! a graphic contest"
decided to close the two shops, that allowed us to improve and got to know many new people, as we got busy with school :(
