Suddens and Curses

So 2014 really seemes cursed, especially March, I guess.

My piano teacher got randomly sick during theory/practical exam period (I've never seen such phenomena since I was four, ten years ago), everyone in her family got food poisoning...

Then it was March 8th, when the search for Boeing-777 MH370 begun.

Then today.

We were supposed to be really relieved today that it's the Theory Exams today (hopefully the last time I'd sit in the horrorific hall just for a 3-hour paper), and it ended at noon just now.

So I dashed back home and had a 4-episode marathon of iPartment 4. If you guys haven't watch it, go watch it. Well non-Chinese speakers... I don't know how to help you. Since there aren't any subtitles (I don't need them anyways...), I mean - the sitcom shares jokes that involve Chinese characters, so basically subtitles won' work at any sense though.

Back to the story.

Then I turned off my laptop for dinner and went downstairs, got my charged phone and the WiFi again, surprisingly receiving status updates of hashtagged prayers. #PrayForCHSPrefects, #rip... I didn't know what's going on, until I entered our school's Chinese Language Society group, receiving sad news that one of my Form 5 seniors have passed away during the Prefect Campers' journey downhill for lunch. (It's actually the last day of camp, but yeah.) The bus flipped over somewhere and he just... yeah.

Just couldn't receive such news, it's too sudden! One of the most dedicated diabolo players and prefects, just left us this afternoon, just like that! Not to mention we're schoolmates since primary school (though I only knew him last year), the school's happiest virus, in addiction to galling everyone "gege" and "jiejie", shushing them during assembly or hurrying them to leave the canteen before the bell rings.

That signature peace sign of his, that cheeky smile he gives everyone, I just can't, guys. I can't.

His last status last night, "Wait for me".

I will. Wait for you to come back to Catholic High School, to show me that cheeky smile with a peace sign by your face, entering the carnival booth to our counter ordering a cup of Mojito. I will. Be sure to wait for me then. The gate to Catholic High School is always opened for you.

Rest In Peace, Yeong Peng.
