Bre's French Adventures: Part 1

Been in France for like 3 days now. So far, I really love France. I mean I liked England a lot but France is gorgeous! The girl that I'm staying with lives in a house that's like straight out of a picture!! Her family are really friendly and kind. They all speak English really well so I'm really appreciative that they're making that effort for me. I wish I spoke more French but I'm asking my friends how to say stuff. Today I went to the VERY top of the Eiffel Tower! I never realized just how HUGE it is until today! Pictures do it no justice!! I may go to the Louvre today as well :) Gonna see me a Mona Lisa. Do we have any readers from France?? If we do, definitely feel free to tell me about other places to visit!!!!

I'm not from France but my late grandfather lived in Paris for 10 years and I currently live 8km away from the country and I'm nearly fluent in the language.
Bonne chance !

Welcome in France!!
You should definitely go to Montmartre, Notre Dame and all the other very touristic places!
Other than that, you should head to the Marais: subway station saint paul line 1, even if you just want to wander around. It's the "gay" area, which is known to be very lively and nice, AND it's right in the middle of Paris. Try to avoid the shops around the Champs Elysees: sooooo expensive!! Their customers are extremely rich tourists, including chinese millionaires...
A "must": the Galeries Lafayette, subway station Chaussee d'Antin/Lafayette line 7 or 9. It's really huge, on 5 or 6 levels, I don't remember, under a huge dome you can see on all levels. It's really georgous ^^ just google it and you'll see
As long as you ignore the always-in-a-hurry-and-always-grumpy Parisians, I'm sure you'll love it!
Enjoy your stay here XD
