nicknames: + 공주병 ( gongjubyeong ); most everyone calls her this. it literally translates to ' princess disease '. haneul likes joking around that she's royalty from america. she is always ordering around her peasants / slaves and keeping her lady - in - waitings in order. whenever possible, she will check her reflection and flipping her hair is her signature move. however, no one really favors this idea and only calls her the name to get her attention or if she's being obnoxious ( ex.; omigosh, she is such a gongjubyeong. ).

+ this isn't really a nickname, but haneul is sometimes ( or often ) out of it, staring into space and in her own little world. when she's caught doing this, people joke that her head is up in the clouds and such, which is supposed to be ironic or something since her name means ' sky '.

+ 꼬마 ( ggoma ); anyone who's shorter than her calls her this because they're jealous of her height and she always makes fun of them because of it. it means along the lines of ' short person ' and she's childish as well.

+ 할머니 ( halmoni / grandma ); lots of people call her this. she is very lazy and is always making ahjumma phrases and making ahjumma noises. she also has a slight motherly look to her and is often watching out for others, even if she's one of the youngest.

style: haneul is actually pretty into fashion, she just doesn't show it. her style is very casual and comfortable, but still stylish. she's more of a jeans girl, but skirts and dressing up is fun as well. for some reason, she would rather wear shorts and show her legs then her arms for some weird reason, but other than that, she isn't a very revealing girl. sometimes she'll be very coordinated with her outfits, or she'll just throw on a bunch of stuff that doesn't really match, but she doesn't care. being comfortable consists of oversized sweaters / shirts and such, as well as loose fitting tops.

school life: haneul isn't really. . . good at any subject. unless you count language arts. she loves creative writing. but that's about it. she's an ' a ' student, but she doesn't really excel at anything. she's pretty much just good in everything, good enough to keep an ' a ', but not enough to like. like it. :/ ahaha. haneul isn't in any extracurricular stuff, but knows she should be, since it'd look good in a resume and is considering a type of performing arts class. a school day is just normal for her. go to classes, eat lunch, hang out with friends, etc. she's close with some of the teachers and such, but she's not one to go all extra credit and stuff unless she has too. haneul wants to be a korean celebrity, whether it be for singing or acting, and has no other plans for her future currently. she was wondering about going to america just for a while before coming back to become famous. other than a road to stardom, haneul doesn't know what she wants to do. maybe write. . .? /shrug; while that stuff goes on, she'll look for a part time job somewhere to keep her on her feet.

— haneul's mother looks very young for her age and acts young as well. not like a teenager, but she understands that kids will be kids and while she doesn't approve of it, she accepts it. her and haneul are very close, and since haneul's parents are divorced, the 17 year old is very dependant on her mother. however, even though she knows her mother means no harm and is probably one of the best adults to confide in, she doesn't really talk to her about life stuff and her feelings. but other than that, the two are always joking around and such.

— jieun is like haneul's human diary. when they were younger, haneul never told her anything and they fought everyday, but as time passed, haneul realized that her open - minded older sister had been there before and she was the best choice for some girl ranting. these two can be their true selves around each other, making disgusting faces and walking in on each other in the bathroom.

— haneul is not very close with her father. ever since he left the family to go stay in america when she was 4, she's been bitter towards him. the last time she saw him was age 13, when his dad had passed away and they met at the funeral. haneul knows she should forgive him, but she hasn't yet found the heart to do that yet or straightout tell him her thoughts about him.

— dongyeon is like haneul's brother, as well as her mother's son. there was a time when they both liked each other, but they got over that and are now just like real siblings, protective over each other and such.

— chanhee was haneul's first ever boyfriend, back in the elementary days. they lasted half a year, which surprised her, since he was super duper cheesy ( the poetic cheesy that she hates ). he was, evidently, a player, and asked out another girl not even a month after he broke up with haneul. furious, she vowed to forget all about him, and does, until someone should bring it up. haneul's never had another boyfriend since then.

— these 3 have been with haneul since 6th grade. they know most everything about each other and call themselves the four musketeers. they all speak english, which is how they became close in the first place.

— their mothers best friends and neighbors, the two grew up playing with each other, growing up with each other, bathing with each other ( as kids! ), jamming with each other ( the singing jam, not the spread jam ), and fangirling about groups together. although they went to different schools, they saw each other everyday and they know everything about the other, like it or not. he's always playfully flirting with her, and there may have been a time where she liked him and he liked her, but that's all over. ( or is it? mehehehe LOVE TRIANGLES o/ /evil grin; )

— luhan had always liked her. ever since he first saw her, it was an attraction to her unique personality. he announced it publicly with no shame and claimed her his. he is always acting possessive over her and is very blunt about his feelings for her. she will sometimes return the flirting, but not to an extent where she knows it will just rise his hopes up and slam them down. she is not sure if she likes him back or not. however much she acts exasperated with his puppy love, on the inside, she is fighting with herself on her feelings and is worried for whether he is really getting hurt by her. everyone ships them, and when they're around the gang, haneul dismisses it, but when it's just them, she finds herself getting flustered around him more and more as time goes by.

love line: it started off as a one - sided thing, as well. luhan had been on a walk when he saw a girl rush by him, almost bumping into him. looking at her for a while, he observed that she seemed in a rush. but when she saw a little boy crying on the sidewalk as people passed him, she hung up the phone call she was on and approached the little boy, staying with him until his mother came back. from then, he had went on about her, talking about how she was very admirable, but then he gradually stopped. when he found out she was in the co - ed class, he almost had a heart attack and vowed all his friends not to talk about his fangirling about her. he didnt tell her either ( but maybe he could tell her later ), but he did pronounce his claim on her publicly. he called her his ' fate ', her being oblivious to the true meaning. he followed her like a puppy and was always near her somehow. that benefited somehow, and they got closer, putting aside all his flirting attempts and her put - downs. soon, haneul started feeling different around him. she started liking things about him. how he tried to be manly, but he failed. how he could always bring her mood up, no matter what state she was in, with his pick - up lines and flattery. how he could put aside his whole ' fate ' thing with her and just have a true, friendly, heart to heart talk with her about life. she started liking his face, his voice, his personality, him. she even started missing him for a while. however much this didn't stop her from distancing herself from him, it did start confusing her about her feelings, because she had never experienced true love before for a love interest. and then they got together. and. mehehehe. < 3 i don't know yet how they get together. ; ;
 

scene requests: — luhan overhears haneul worrying about whether she's really hurting him with her rejections, and he goes home, happy that she cares about him.

— haneul is reenacting a romantic scene from a drama with baekhyun, and luhan eavesdrops. thinking it's real, he doesn't talk to baekhyun for a while.

— dongyeon and haneul meet up and start reminiscing about good times, why they liked each other, joking about it, and luhan, not knowing their relationship, gets super jealous and barges in on them.

— a jam session with everyone. < 3 mehehe.

— haneul and kris and all the other english speakers get together and pretend to talk crap about the others.

— maybe if there's like some field trip or something, and they have to get paired up co - ed, luhan rushes over to haneul or she gets paired with someone else and he's super jealous. ooh. and it can be like. they have paper chains around their wrists and can't break them, so holding hands isn't required, but would help in keeping the paper intact. c:(

— luhan is thinking about if his crush really is just some innocent puppy love, like, a joke that he's just keeping on, and when he thinks it is, he gets a nice text from haneul, immediately changing his mind back to being in love with her.

— jongdae sings for haneul one day ( maybe her birthday? ) and luhan claims he can sing too, but he gets nervous and cracks.

— it's a cold day, and haneul is, once again, cold, as well as her ever - not - warm hands. she's rubbing them together for warmth when luhan comes over and gives her his gloves. or puts her hands in his pockets. mehehe.
