Shredding Paper

So, yesterday we had to describe a paper shredder and, well, this is what I came up with.
Apparently it was good enough to read in class. I didn't think so, but what do I know? xD

Black and sleek, it sat in the isolated office. Countless important documents passed through those grated, unforgiving teeth only to be chewed up and made into rabbit bedding. Once plugged in, the small machine began to buzz as if a colony of ees were working through the gears. A shudder ran through the man shredding the paper as he imagined what would happen if the guard somehow disappeared. His long, slender fingers would end up with the same fate as the ivory paper. With the flick of a switch, the motor died down into a soft hum and then- nothing.
