✧NICKNAME(S) — Eun (은) – This was a nickname given to her by her late mother. It was meant to be a shortened variety of her given name and ended up sticking to her.
Drama Queen (드라마 여왕) – As a person with a bit of a temper, it's not unusual to see her make a scene out of things, earning this nickname from those who experience it.
Shin Bimil (신비밀) – Bimil means secret and was given to her by Lee Howon, due to the more reserved and mysterious side of her.
Firecracker (폭죽) – It's no secret that this girl has a bit of a temper, and it's a nickname used by both the girls her brother and several others close to her, which aren't that many people.

SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT ✧APPEARANCE — Eunsung had both of ears pierced back in middle school; the right one was done twice in all in the following years. She has a pale scar on the back of her thigh after a car accident and another one beneath the chin after slipping on a sleek pile of rocks.
✧MERMAID FORM — When Eunsung turns into her mermaid form, she grows a copper gold tail that starts at the lower part of her waist and curves into a pair of tail fins at the bottom. There are also a pair of fins running along the sides of the tail, giving her extra mobility in the water. The top half of her body turns bare except for a pair of shell bra used to cover important parts.

✧QUOTE — "My heart is my business." ✧PERSONALITY — Independent, unconventional, and original - three words that can be used to describe the persona of Eunsung. She is not one who places much value on traditional goals such as popularity and security. She is a strongly ingenious girl, who has some rather unconventional thought patterns that allows her to analyze ideas in new ways. Eunsung is very logical and rational, who sees no point in involving emotions in the decision-making process. Consequently, she tends to pride herself in being fair and impartial. While she is someone proud of range of knowledge, she gets frustrated quite easily when trying to explain her thoughts from A to Z to someone else. She is a bit of a loner; someone who is at her best when she gets to be by herself. She sees no point of sugar-coating words and playing a round of "guess the unwritten rule." She is straightforward with her statements and expects others to be the same, although this has often backfired and made her look like the criminal.
Eunsung has a problem with self-aggrandizement and social rebellion, which often interferes with her creative potential. Since she isn't the most sensitive out of the girls, she often has difficulty giving the warmth and support that is sometimes necessary in intimate relationships. If she doesn't realize the value of attending to other people's feelings, she may become overly critical and sarcastic with others. When she finds herself unable to find a place for herself which supports the use of her strongest abilities, she can become negative and cynical as a result. She has come off as unaware of her environment at times, and exhibits weakness in fitting in and being the person others expect her to be.
When it comes to her behavior around people, it is amazing how drastically someone may change. If she is around people she is close to or has the same way of thinking as herself, she can be very gregarious and self-confident, resulting in a much more open side of her. She is enthusiastic when it comes to her interests and sharing them among others, making her a great companion with a handful of topics. Eunsung is not a leader and has never been fond of controlling others, seeing it as a way of manipulation unless done right like with the group's leader (not that she'd ever admit it). She is usually very tolerant and flexible in most situations, unless one of her firmly held beliefs has been violated or challenged, in which case she may take a very rigid stance.
It's not always a dance on roses or sunny days in the life of Shin Eunsung. When someone challenges her, directly or indirectly, she can react in a sudden and unnecessary manner such as attempting at fighting or using physical force. She knows that words aren't always enough to get it into someone's head and can go far in order to let someone know she means business, but she is never someone to truly force or humiliate someone without a reason unless there's revenge on her mind. Her temper has been kept under control for very long, but she is someone to keep it in until it explodes and she ends up throwing it on someone innocent. Feelings aren't exactly her forte, and sudden bursts of them leave her feeling confused and more isolated than ever.

RIDING THE HIGH TIDE ✧FAMILY —
  ✧Father — Shin Gyuwoon + 50 + 2 + Eunsung isn't exactly best friends with her father. They have been distant since her mother's death, and she often feels invisible whenever he's actually home. ✧Brother — Shin Hyesung + 26 + 3 + Hyesung is Eunsung's older brother, which is a fact very few people actually know. She rarely mentions him as he moved out right after graduation and has barely spoken to the family other than random visits every now and then. (She likes him more than their father, though.)
✧FRIENDS — ✧Childhood friend — Park Jimin + 18 + 4 + They have been "friends" since they were very young, but Eunsung has always been pushing the guy away, wanting to be by herself. Jimin is a support she's unaware of having, making him quite precious to her without her realizing it right away. ✧OTHER —
✧Rival — Kim Joomi + 18 + 0 + Joomi's father works with Eunsung's. While Joomi is cheerful and outgoing, Eunsung is no people pleaser. They can't stand each other and have always been at each other's neck. |

A WHOLE NEW WORLD ✧LOVE INTEREST — Lee Howon (Infinite)
✧BACK UP — Kim Myungsoo (Infinite) ✧PERSONALITY — Howon (Hoya) is quiet, observant and definitely a bit of a mystery. He emits this cold and charismatic aura, giving off the impression of "attractive and unapproachable" as the girls has dubbed it. He is usually a very calm, cool and collected kind of person, but he can have a bit of a temper on a day bad day, but usually avoids showing it in public. Underneath the so-called cold side of him, is a very warm and sweet guy who's a bit of a dork. He finds it a bit hard expressing his emotions, preferring actions over words. He is smart, attentive and protective of his loved ones.
✧HOW YOU MET — Soon after Howon moved to town with his family, he bumped into Eunsung while exploring the closest beach in order to find out how to enjoy himself while he was there. This was a little before the incident with the field trip, which meant he found Eunsung swimming in the water. He got a little curious, wondering why she was out there when it (the water) was rather cold at this time of the year. Eunsung noticed him looking at her for a suspiciously long time and yelled right at him, "Whatcha lookin' at?" He was taken aback by her brute honesty, but no less fascinated by it. ✧RELATIONSHIP — It's almost funny to think about it at times. Howon and Eunsung is the kind of pair you can feel the chemistry oozing from, yet there is little similarity between those two. Howon is quiet, but he likes being around a chosen few, unlike Eunsung who prefers to have no one around unless she has to. Howon is very interested in finding out more about the girl, but has difficulty doing so due to her secretive ways and tendency to send mixed signals whenever they interact. Sometimes it feels as if she likes him, other times she actually hates him. He isn't used to people being so ... reclusive as she is, yet she is very honest around him about the things he already knows, which is very little to begin with. Eunsung thinks he's an attractive charmer who needs to be taken down a notch. Not because he's obnoxious, but because he never seems to know when to give up. She is very aware of his curiosity around her, yet she doesn't have the heart to properly reject him. Secretly (deep, deep down), she kind of likes the attention he's giving her. |

JUST NO ORDINARY GIRL ✧BACKGROUND — Finding out that she was a mermaid was perhaps the biggest disappointment in Eunsung's life. Not because it wasn't exciting or boring; it was totally unwanted on her side. She is a girl driven by logic and common sense - growing a fish tail is neither! When she first discovered it, she was surprised. Surprise turned to fear, which turned to anger and confusion. Eunsung is often trying to push the idea of it all to the back of her mind, but it keeps coming back and turns her entire world upside down. Not being able to swim at the beach or accidentally spill water on herself without turning has taken a massive grip on her life as she knows it, which isn't at all what she wants. Eunsung sees the tail and her powers as the proof of having no other chance at living life like everyone else. She was already enough of an outsider as it was.
✧WHAT POWER DO THEY HAVE OVER WATER? — Gelidkinesis ✧HOW + WHEN DOES HE (LOVE INTEREST) FIND OUT THAT SHE'S A MERMAID? — When he finds out her secret, it's after an argument they had. He confronted her about her secretive behavior and kept pestering her about it. She refused and tried to get him off her back by pushing him into the water below them. Unfortunately, he grabbed hold of her and dragged her along with him. They both ended up in the water. ✧HOW DOES HE REACT? — When he sees her transformation, he is stunned. Absolutely speechless and shocked. When she tries to hide from him, knowing he would react that way, he gets out of the water and walks away, not sure what to think of it at all. ✧WHAT IS THE OUTCOME BETWEEN THE TWO? — After going back and forth on whether to tell someone or not, he confronts her once more, only to want the truth in order to get a clearer understanding of it all. When she actually tells him how it happened, he promises to keep it a secret from the others. The two of them become closer, and they end up in one of those on-off relationships, going between massive fights and sweet make-ups. Those two have chemistry, but has very little in common. |

✧SCENE REQUEST — - Eunsung is hanging out at the caves when she is confronted by one of the girls about her current relationship with Howon.
- Howon meeting one of the biologists and is about to tell him/her when he sees one of the girls leaving the place. He thinks of Eunsung and retreats.
- Eunsung and Howon sharing their first kiss at the spot where they first met and shared the secret.
- Some of the girls growing closer to Eunsung as a result of having to keep the secret from their interests.
- Hyesung, Eunsung's brother, visits town all of a sudden and gives the girls a hard time.
