APPEARANCE — Ever since coming back to Korea to attend college, Dohee is very pleased to say that standing at 160 cm is a pretty average height around here and comments about her 'shortness' were just relative. She weighs about 50 kg or something like that (she's still not used to this whole metric system thing yet). Her chocolate colored brown hair is all natural and frizzes way too easily in the humidity. Her best physical quality by far is her skin. She hasn't had one blemish on it ever, even in those greasy preteen years, which is such a relief because even one pimple would ruin her face due to her pale complexion. She's a bit insecure about her chest because she has like the smallest s ever, but is always too embarassed about wearing a push up bra.

STYLE — Dohee likes to keep things cute and simple. However, she hates dresses and skirts with a burning passion because they either "flap around too much or wrap around my so tightly I can't part my legs for more than ten inches". Fuzzy sweaters and leggings are they way to go. The only accessory that she wears are scarves or necklaces. Dohee usually wears her hair down because she feels like pulling it up emphasizes how 'round' her face is. Her favorite season is winter because she loves bundling up in lots and lots of layers. She can also wear her favorite type of shoes in those times: boots! Dohee keeps makeup to a minimum since she's not very used to wearing it (her parents never let her use it until her junior year of high school because they didn't want her to become the cakeface that most girls around her were) and she's too lazy to put in that much of an effort.

PERSONALITY — 
The first impression of Dohee that people usually get is "Wow, what a know it all ." And who can blame them? She's very straightforward and never sugar coats anything, even if they were hurtful words. She isn't the type of girl who forces her opinions and thoughts down people's throats, but if you ask her what she thinks, she'll tell you alright. Of course, the majority of people would find her a bit rude and offensive, but there are also some people who value her honesty. This being said, she hates liars and scoffs at people who are too afraid to lay down the law. Backstabbers are her least favorite type of people. Dohee cannot stand when someone says one thing to her face and then go around spreading rumors about how cold she is. She swears that she'll never be like them, which is where her strong feeling of loyalty comes from. Once she makes a friend that can put up with all her sarcasm and impatience, you'll be sure that she's going to stick with them through thick and thin.

Dohee never believed in fairytales and prince charmings, even back when she was an elementary school student. When other kids dreamed of marrying Mr. Right, going off to live in a castle, and living happily ever after, Dohee was focusing on her school work in order to become a lawyer. It had been her goal ever since she had learned about it in second grade. Proving the truth and asking questions were her specailty. Her parents even got concerned over their daughter's lack of interest in Disney and barbie dolls, but they got over it. 

This doesn't mean Dohee isn't a happy person. She's very content with her life and is thankful towards her supportive friends and family, but she has trouble expressing her emotions. It makes her feel embarassed and flustered when she has to talk about her feelings. Dohee loves to tease those close to her, and they always know that when she has that mischievious glint in her eyes and that small, slanted smile, anything mean she says is just a joke. She also loves to argue and gets really passionate once she's immersed in the conversation, rather the topic is about what kind of snack dogs like the best or how the world peace should be achieved. People get surprised that she has such a broad knowledge that touches on basically everything and her witty, thought inducing remarks. Dohee's wide grin appears very occassionally, however when you do see it, you'll be surprised by how genuine and enthusiastic it actually is.

☷ NO SURPRISES

BACKGROUND — Although she was born in Seoul, her family moved to LA when she was seven because of her father's job as a businessman. When she started school in California, her English wasn't the best and kids being kids would a lot about it. That's why she has a sensitive spot for people making fun of others' pronounciations. Her Korean slowly started deteriorating, but once she turned ten, her parents forced her to speak it around the house. Although she can read, write, and speak the language fluently, there are still some slang terms and other things she doesn't understand. Dohee had a fairly normal childhood and contrary to what others may think, she was very content in being the only child. The attention from her parents got overwhelming at time, but Dohee doesn't really like to share what she has with others. People who have met her parents are very surprised because of their stark contrast with Dohee. Since she is very smart, hardworking, and 'cold', they wouldn't expect Mr. Kim and Mrs. Kim to be so friendly and warm. At the end of junior year, her family spent the summer in Korea and Dohee fell in love with her native country. She decided that she wanted to go to university in Korea voila! Here she is. Her parents still live back in the US and she misses them very much, but she doesn't regret her decision at all. Dohee is still getting used to all of the customs in the country, but she is slowly adapting.

＊Mother::Kim Eunkyung:: Housewife::The typical Korean mother who fusses over grades and won't hold back to tell you if you're getting fat. She's very proud of her daughter and how hard she works to achieve her dreams. Although she's delighted that Dohee is loving Korea so much, she can't help but be sad that she is living so far away from them. Mrs. Kim secretly wishes her daughter finds a boyfriend soon since she had never brought a boy home before. 

＊Father::Kim Woohyun::Businessman:: Mr. Kim is a man who values family above anything. He is a very loyal and honest person, which is why he is Dohee's role model. He's usually home late everyday due to his work, but he always wears a bright smile and never complains. Honestly, he loves his job and the pay provides him with more than enough to take care of his family. Although he is a bit upset that his job uprooted their lives in Korea, Dohee reassures him that because of this move, she had the opportunity to learn a new language and master it, and also experience a different way of life.

ACADEMICS — Dohee is a second year at Seoul National University, majoring in law. She's pretty near the top of the class and takes her academics very seriously. To be honest, she's not very involoved since she's always too busy studying and doesn't have very much school spirit. Dohee has a handful of friendly aquaintances, but she isn't best friends with anyone so far.

PERSONALITY — 
 Ah, the famed happy virus of the Run and Gun Residence. He can bring a smile to just about anybody's face with his bright personality and infectious grin. His dorky and clumsy nature makes him appear like a giant teddy bear that girls just want to squeeze the life out of. Yeol often gets into trouble with Kris and Suho, but the landlords always end up leaving level 5 chuckling at Chanyeol's idiotic ways. Contrary to what most people think, Chanyeol actually does care about his appearance very much even though most of the time he's dressed like a mugger. He claims he has a 'cool ghetto style' and seems to have a different snapback on everyday. At first, some people are intimidated by his tall physique and deep voice but then they realize that this guy couldn't hurt a fly. It also seems that Chanyeol isn't used to his tallness since he acts like a teenager that just went through an awkward growth spurt. He isn't exactly clumsy, but flails his long limbs around like he has no control of them.

Chanyeol thinks that he's the funniest person on the planet. Even when no one laughs at his jokes, he doesn't care because he's too busy giggling his own off at them to notice. You can hear his laugh from a mile away, usually accompanied by seal like gasps of air and loud clapping. He has a hidden romantic side and often imagines elaborate events that he would set up for the one girl he truly loved. His puke inducing cheesiness is also part of his charms. Making girls blush brings him immense satisfaction, even though he's not the resident Casanova. Chanyeol is great at giving advice and listening to others vent. His fellow tenants always go to him when they need someone to talk to and Chanyeol would act like a therapist, whilst playing his guitar.

RELATIONSHIP — 
 "She goes to Seoul National University? I call her as my roommate!"

Those were the words that Chanyeol immediately regretted once Dohee fixed her sharp glare on him. But to his surprise, Dohee agreed since she thought that "living with one idiot couldn't be more different that living with another one." The first few days were a bit rough for both of them to adjust to each other's presence. Dohee got very irritated that Chanyeol took longer in the bathroom than she did and Chanyeol  was very taken aback by Dohee's rude and sarcastic nature. He hated how she would mutter in English since he knew that she was probably insulting him, yet he didn't even know what she was saying. Chanyeol soon found that her weakness were Korean idioms. She usually had no idea what they meant and thought they were the dumbest thing ever. Even though Chanyeol would say it incorrectly (like Gu Junpyo in Boys Before Flowers), Dohee wouldn't know the difference which delight Chanyeol.

They eventually struck up a deal: Dohee would help Chanyeol with his studies (since he was failing just about every class) and Chanyeol would teach Dohee more about Korea (giving her tours, catching her mistakes when she forgot to add yo after speaking to an elder, etc.). It was a pretty good trade off and the two seemed to bond more everyday. Dohee's favorite part of the day was when she would be studying in her room very late at night and would hear the faint sound of Chanyeol's guitar chords. It would usually lull her to sleep, but she would always wake up the next day in her bed, tucked in snugly with her books arranged in a neat stack on her desk.

Since Dohee has been too busy to get her Korean driver's license, let alone get a car, she forced Chanyeol to be her chauffeur. She hated public transportation since she didn't like crowds and packed places. Chanyeol was annoyed with this at first, but eventually started to look forward to these car rides. Dohee seemed to be one of those people who always felt the need to sing along with the radio, and it was hilarious to hear her croon along to some kpop song she didn't even know. He also got used to her biting personality and didn't get offended when she .

☷ THE DAILY MAIL

"WHAT'S YOUR REASON FOR RENTING?" —"First of all, let me make it clear that I really, really would rather live anywhere but here. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but you get what I mean! Anyway, this was the only place close to my university, since I got kicked out of all my other apartments. The old farts, AKA my landlords, got sick of my 'rude' attitude and made every excuse to make me leave. And now I'm stuck with a hyper elf."
 
"AFTER MOVING IN, HOW DID YOU FEEL?" — "At first, it was hell. Park Chanyeol would not shut up! He laughs at nothing and that stupid grin he wears all the time makes me want to stab him to see if he'll still be smiling then. But then, believe it or not, it got worse. That one guy who lives a floor below us, Bacon or something, he acts like he owns our level. I think Chanyeol gave him the spare key or something because he barges in constantly, eating all the food I bought from the grocery store or plopping down on the couch to watch TV. Who does he think he is?"

"BESIDES YOUR ROOM MATE, WHO'S CLOSEST TO YOU?" — "I would say I could tolerate Kris. He's pretty good about keeping the other boys in line, although I would prefer that he actually uses that baseball bat he brings around on them from time to time. It's also hilarious to converse with him in English and hear the other boys whine and yell at us to talk in a language they understand."

"WHO DO YOU HATE NOT GET ALONG WITH?" — "Hands down, it's Bacon. He always comes into my room and steals my eyeliner. Do you know how expensive make up is these days? I see girls fawn over him all the time, but I swear he's gay with Chanyeol. N-no, I'm not jealous! Stop looking at me like that!"

"WHAT'S YOUR ROLE IN THE HOUSE?" — "I've unofficially became the tutor. When the boys actually feel productive, they come down and I help them with their school work if I'm feeling generous. But I lose my patience pretty easily because most of them are idiots. I seriously don't understand how some of them are passing their classes."
