BREAKING NEWS: Boss just received a take-down notice from an SM representative

Some users think it is okay to post download links of SNSD's music here in AFF. And now we have a take-down notice.

I am livid.

Don't you understand that the site is not supposed to host such content? Read the ToS. 

So you didn't upload them, but you shared it here. This is on you and those who think it is okay. 

So you might argue that SM leaked them, can you prove it? What are you gonna do about the notice, huh? Are you the one answering to SM? No.

What are you gonna do if Boss decides that the site is not worth the trouble? I can't blame him.

But I blame you for ruining it for everyone else.

I just returned from the lab and I haven't been to Social. I can't believe this is happening. Let's report each post that has links to SNSD's music and every other illegal music links out just to be safe.

Let's do this for AFF.

So before you almost collapse like i almost did .. it wasn't a site take down notice, more like content take-down, we can be relieved, BUT still be careful!!!
 

Anyway this is a really seriously matter, everything that relates to violence against intellectual property law
What is intellectual property rights?
Intellectual property rights refers to creations of the mind: inventions; literary and artistic works; and symbols, names and images used. So if you own any things that are clearly your works, be it official or not. You have the copy right.
Like in this site, you have copy right on your stories which are produced by your own brains and hardwork.
So imagine, if someone else takes your works, although she doesn't claim your works, but upload it on other places without your notice. What would you feel?

Back to SM matter ... you don't know right whether they leak it or not, what evidence do you have?
They have every rights to keep their works unless they state otherwise. Even if they state otherwise, it will be better if you ask their permission. (though, i doubt they will allow untrustworthy sites to share their works)
And i know you are not making money of it (because heck, that is other serious crime)
 

The penalty? The said owner can file or sue and ask for the site to close down/shut down. And of course they can also ask for penalty fines.
And to a bigger extent, there will be prison sentence as well (do you want that?)

Take this more seriously will ya?
We don't want AFF to end up like megaupload (although that site was clearly wrong in the beginning) which the founder had to experience prison sentence. Or a manga site Mangafox who should have been punished (but they are not) because they are making money by sharing those manga.

Besides, my stories (my babies) are on here, so please, do not share such a link.
Or i'll sue you myself for unpleasant actions which cause me loss
 

My advice? Pay attention more to your classes. Don't sleep when your teachers explain about this kind of things!
