All roleplays allow you to choose a character who is idol, actor, model, etc. and you basically act as them! You make new friends, relationships, and you make your character have a life of their own. They can even fall in love. Oh, snap. Roleplaying is like writing a story in a sense because you're developing your own character. You also use actions to describe what your character is doing.
For example, if my character is new to the roleplay and introducing themselves I would write: "Hey! I'm ____, and it's nice to meet you. *smiles and waves*"
Your actions are in brackets (or whatever those are called) you can also write your actions in these: /action here., /action here/, -action here-. Those are the main ones I see people using in roleplays!
The purpose of a roleplay is simply to have fun and to express yourself while meeting new people from around the world. OTL. It's so clichè. unu
What made me choose to roleplay? That's hard, yo. I was going through a tough time because I couldn't adjust to high school and I saw an advertisement for a roleplay. I joined it after looking online and learning the basics. On my first day roleplaying, I made lots of new friends and it was easier than I thought. After a couple of weeks, I'd felt like I'd made a family there at the roleplay since I was close to everyone and I was even in a relationship. ouo The good old days. That was a little over two years ago and the reason I still roleplay is because it allows me to get away from reality for a while and live life the way I want too. Hm, that's about it!
