Hi, guess who's back :D now. If you have hurt feelings easily and write fanfics, please do not read. I admit, as a precaution, I've done all the below, so I'm not trying to say I am better than you. Same for the first part. You don't have to read the first part because it really has nothing to do with this besides the obvious ranting part. Now moving on

GIRL PROTAGONISTS:

• hangs out with only males
• girl population hates your guts for being close friends with the group
• or hangs out with only the "losers" of the school
• hangs out with her best friend that is a boy and acts like it's okay to be super duper affectionate (hugging often, cuddling, kissing on the cheek, holding hands, spooning, etc.)
• gets jealous when her boyfriend is only tALKING to a girl
• has no parents because of some tragic backstory... >:/
• parents do not give a
   

Alright, I mean it's totally cool you hang out with guys, that's fine. But when that's ALL you do, like what. Like, the girl population igNORES you.

Not every girl will glare at you. But just because they won't doesn't mean they'll be your ultimate best friend. Like maybe they dislike you. Not because of the boys, but because you actually have a horrible personality...like woah.

Girl protagonists can have a mix of friends. Or, just FRIENDS. MAYBE THERE AREN'T ANY LABELS IN THIS SCHOOL. MAYBE IT'S CHILL A'F.

This one bothers the EFF out of me. Like what are you doing. You have a commitment to another boy. What are you doing. I don't care if you two don't truly love each other and/or you two are dating other people. You best believe your boyfriend will be ALL UP ON YOUR FRIEND. When people start confusing you and your best friend as a couple, sOMETHING IS WRONG. FIX IT. I'd feel like sh*t if my boyfriend had another girl and they were hugging, kissing cheeks, holding hands, cuddling, spooning, and etc. Hugs are acceptable, and mAYBE holding hands during a special occasion. But cuddling, spooning, and kisses on the cheek = NO. nO. No. no.

You don't need to, however, get jealous when your boyfriend is oNLY TALKING TO A GIRL. LIKE WHAT ARE YOU DOING. STOP. STOP. NO MORE. BISH YOU BE ALL UP ON YO' BEST FRIEND BUT WHEN IT'S YOUR BOYFRIEND JUST PLAIN TALKING TO ANOTHER GIRL... YOU DON'T DESERVE HIM STOP GET OUT NO MORE NUH UH.



...Adding disapproving parents sometimes makes the plot more interesting. And frustrating because if you leave it somewhere your readers may want to keep reading because of their curiousity. Also, you might be very lazy. Like come on, it's not that hard to at least WRITE IN that they're there and that they approve.

Also: you're their child. They at least care on SOME level. They would have give you up for adoption before if they didn't. Even if they treat you badly...experience. Sometimes, if they're treating you badly, they just care because they want you to be/do better because sometimes you CAN. You're just not trying. Now, is it the BEST way to show they care? Not at all. But it's a sign.
