Marshall is the type of person who constantly speaks sacasticly. Despite his nice outer appeareance, he can quite pack a punch when he's super angry, but people rarely see this side of him since he;salways keeping his feelings to himself. It's also because he just tries to ignore his anger but if people drive him to the edge, oh they'll get it. He's also quite the loyal friend you can trust on who always has your back. He's always happy with his friends. However, when he's alone or with people he doesn't like, he'll just be a quiet anti-social human being who will just sit there without doing anything, completely the opposite of how he's like with his chingus.

Marshall tries to be nice with everyone but if there are some rich kids who are all showy-showy with their stuff, outside he can just smile but he's mentally lunging daggers at them. Huge ones. Marshall is also one impatient person, alright. Especially when it comes to food. Kepp him waiting more than 15 minutes and he'll skin the servers. Haha. He might not seem like it but he's also a bookworm. In fact, he even has a collection of his favourite books.

As the only child of Mr. Lee and Ms. Seo, they both took care of Marshall with much love. Whenever he wanted something, he would just ask for it and he'll get it, alright. But even though he was taken care wth much love and affection, Marshall never had the prince disease. He thinks that he's just average. Having Korean parents, Marshall obviously has an Asian/Korean looking face but spending nine years of his life living at The Big Apple made him very familiar with English and he could speak it fluently. Because he was not an American, some of the bullies at his school teased and made fun of him, which cause him to be quite shy. After nine years living there, his parents decided to move back to Korea. That was the first time Marshall actuall visited his home country.

Because he never went there, nor even spoke in Korean, his first days of school were quite awkward and lonely. Being a new student was never easy for eveyone. He doesn't understand what the teachers were talking about, or what everyone was talking about, in general. Marshall is used to speaking English even with his parents and never before he thought of learning Korean, despite being a Korean himself. That made him really lonely at school. As time passed by, some of his classmates tried to communicate with him, fortunately some of them knew basic English. He was shy at first but became cheerful after a few days. He would be seen constantly laughing with his friends. Most of them were boys, and being the hyper human beings they are, love to play silly games together. And he finally managed to speak Korean quite well after spending a good three years there so he was already used to speaking Korean with his friends.

Being in Korea, Marshall also developed an interest for K-pop. He even danced to some of the songs' dance moves but alove, of course. He was really awkward with people watching him. When he became 13, his passion for music grew bigger and he even tried creating his own beats. Boy, being a songwriter was hard.. especially for a 13 year old. After a few months, it hit him! For once he actually knew what he truly wanted to be. He wanted to go and audition. And it's a convienient coincidence that SM Entertainment was having an audition near his place in a couple of days, haha! Okay, anyways.. It took a while but he finally gained enough vourage to ask his parents for permission to audition (in Korean of course, he started to speak it with parents and they were quite impressed by it). At first his father disagreed and said that he should focus on his studies more but his mother, being the supportive eomma she is, said that it was time for him to learn being independent by himself and that actually convinced him! Marshall felt like the happiest person alive~ (lol why does this sound so lame)

The day before the audition, Marshall practised non-stop (well not literally but, you get what I mean). He decided that he would do raps, since he's kinda shy with singing. He also didn't want to dance because he's afraid of tripping or anything that would embarrass himself. On the audition day, his mom went with him to give her son some support. He was of course nervous but what he did what that he just focused on his rapping more than anything else at that time. After the audition, his mom hugged him and said that he did his best. The next few days, Marshall was nervous yet aeger to see if he got casted or not. Suddenly on one day, he got a phone call and moments later, the boy was tightly hugging both of his parents. His mom asked what was with the sudden affection and Marshall happily stated that he was accepted as a SM trainee. Upon hearing the great news, his mom was teary out of joy. Marshall then knew that this was the start of his trainee life.

how do you act around eachother?: Believe it or not, both of these boys are closer to eachother than their own groupmates. Every week, these two would do bets with ridiculous consequences, like hugging someone's leg while singing SNSD's 'I Got A Boy' for example. Of course, no one wanted to lose, but their bets are even more hilarous than the punishment, to be honest. Chanyeol once dared Marshall to kiss someone by the cheek, dude. Well, he obviously failed and had to act like a baby and speking in baby language for a whole day.
when did you meet?: They met when Marshall was walking the in SM building for the first time. Chanyeol, who was walking by saw the obvious confused face on Marshall;s face and asked what what he doing there. He explained that he was a new trainee and upon hearing that, Chanyeol widely smiled and offered him a tour of the building. And he also took that chance to introduce him to the other EXO members. At first they thought they were just gonna be ordinary pals but not long ofter their first meeting, they've became even closer and eventually were best buds.
