Personality: Since she was young, Ryu has been a very active girl. She has a lot of energy, and it comes out in her work, and in pretty much anything that she does. She hates being stuck in one place for a long period of time, and it's rare to find her just lounging there completely immobile. She's always moving in some fashion, whether it be a tapping finger, or a bouncing leg. Her personality is pretty upbeat, and she's good at motivating people to do things that they otherwise wouldn't do without having to nag or threaten them. 
When first meeting people, she tends to hold them at a distance, and because of that she comes off as rather cold. Really that's not the case at all, as she's quite affectionate towards the pople that she's close too. It's simply that she doesn't really like to let strangers know every single little thing about her. She enjoys having her privacy, and she would rather have her friend circle be quite small because she's not a person who particularly enjoys crowds. She also finds that when too many people know a lot about her people tend to start rumors and speak ill of her, which results in her temper flaring.
That being said, Ryu doesn't really like conflict. Perhaps it's because of the fact that she got picked on a lot as a child, but when it comes to arguments and fights she'd rather stay clear of them. It's not so much that she's cowardly so much as it is that she just doesn't want to be bothered with it and end up getting tied up in a sticky situation. Though she will get involved if she feels the sitation really calls for it. Fiercely loyal, she has no problems getting her hands dirty for a friend if need be either. Usually she tries to talk her way out of something, but if she feels that what's going merits it she tends to get pretty violent. 
Slightly hard-headed and stubborn, Ryu is very vocal about her viewpoint and she often finds herself throwing people off with her opinions. She prides herself on the fact that she's informed about the events going on around her, and that she can hold a conversation about it. She doesn't seem to realize though that she really just tends to make more problems for herself by offending people when she speaks her mind without a filter.  If it's brought to her attention she may apologize, but it's not really a sincere thing coming from her so much as it is a few words that attempt to smooth things over. She believes that people who are offended by her just need to have a thicker skin, because she rarely intends to insult people. 
When she is lonely, sad, or hurt Haneul tends to shut down and become completely silent. She'll either isolate herself from people by retreating to her room, or she'll put in her earbuds and zone out of the conversation. It takes quite a lot to make her actually cry, but she does find herself tearing up at times. She fights back her tears a lot of the time when she feels like crying because she feels that she should be strong for the people that depend on her, and for the people that look to her for guidance. She feels that tears are a sign of weakness, because that's how she was raised in her house. If she does cry, she tries to hide it from people.

Background: Haneul has always been a girl who was into the arts. Because her household didn't put much emphasis on school, she was often finishing her homework to the bare minimum so that she would be allowed to go to dance classes and piano classes. It was noticed that she excelled in ballet, and her parents thought that she had a future in it, but when she was 9 she opted to switch her focus to hip hop which was more comfortable for her. 
Often times the girl was bullied as a child because she wasn't initially as pretty as the other girls, and because she had a tomboyish style growing up. Because of that she often found herself coming home without having eaten lunch at school because it was stolen, or with bruises on her legs because the kids were feeling cruel that day and pinched her continually. Because of that her parents pulled her out of her dance classes in 5th grade and enrolled her in kickboxing classes instead. 
That's not to say that dance was left completely out of her life though. Once she got stronger, she left her kickboxing classes and opted to train in her free time instead as she renrolled in her dance classes. When she turned 13, she was noticed by an agent of YG entertainment when a video of a dance that she had choreographed with some friends went viral. She was called up and before she knew it she found herself moving to Seoul to live with an aunt as she was looped into the trainee life. 
The years rolled by and the girl trained exceptionally hard to get noticed, often being told that she was the best in her dance and rap classes, but in the growing pool of talent she felt like she was just becoming another number. At the age of 17, she dropped out of the program and high school, getting her G.E.D. and instead turning her sights to the underground to pursue music as a part of Prepix crew, and as an underground rapper under the name of Nyx. 
She was told about Billionare entertainment by Jay Park, a friend of hers who had been told about the opporotunity by a friend of his. She wrote down the contact information, and decided that she might as well make a short audition tape. A few weeks after sending it in she was contacted and the rest was history.

 

Family: 
Father | Ryu Sungbin | 40 | Baker | Haneul and her father are super close because of the time that she spent with him when her mother was at work. She often helped him out in the shop when she was out of school, and he's the one who taught her how to both cook and bake. He can be a little rough around the edges, and that quality has rubbed off on his daughter, but they both mean well. He's very helpful, and he does what he can to make sure his family is taken care of. 
Mother | Ryu Miyoung| 43 | Kindergarten Teacher  | She and Haneul are close, though not as close as Haneul and her father. She's very supportive of her children, and though she was a teacher she didn't put so much of an emphasis on school in her household. She and Haneul speak frequently on the phone, and when they get together they often go shopping and talk about things back in Daegu, and how everyone back home is doing.
Brother | Ryu Hanbyul | 18 | Student | They were very close at children, but now they've grown apart a bit simply because of a difference in interests. Hanbyul is very into science, and is studying to be a Biomedical Engineer while Haneul is more into music and the arts.

Rival: Kim Hyuna

Personality: Hyuna's known for her fierce stage presence as well as her "adorable" energy when she's not on stage. She has the kind of personality that one either loves because they find it cute and endearing, or they just find it plain annoying because she's way too hyper all the time. 
Unfortunately Haneul falls on the latter end of the spectrum and she just can't stand Hyuna's cutesy side because the aegyo drives her nuts. 

How you interact: Hyuna probably doesn't even realize that Haneul doesn't like her to be honest, because the two rarely speak if they speak at all. Ryu isn't very vocal about her disdain for the other girl because she feels like starting a conflict is unnecessary when she feels that Hyuna hasn't given her a legit reason to dislike her. After all, it's not like Hyuna's trying to be a homewrecker or anything. It's just a matter of their personalties not meshing well. 
When she finds herself around Hyuna, Haneul secretly makes it her job to upstage her. Everything has to be done at 200% power, and she needs to make sure that eyes are on her. She feels the need to prove herself around Hyuna for some odd reason. 

Reason for rivalry: Haneul has always thought that Hyuna was a mediocre performer who's only made it as far as she has because of her pretty face and provokative dance moves. The reason that she has such a sour taste in when it comes to the other girl is that she thinks such things give girl group rappers and dancers a bad name.

Love Interest: Min Yoongi "Suga" from BTS

Age: 20

Personality: Yoongi is a straightforward, and usually foul-mouthed dude. He's not afraid to speak his mind and often times his opinions are so blunt that they can be hurtful, so honestly it's probably best not to ask his opinion if you don't have a thick skin. Obviously, honesty is highly valued with him and thus he keeps a strict policy of no bull with those around him. He's not going to pry if you don't want to tell him something, just don't lie about it to his face, because lies are probably one of the only things that piss him off. 
Lazy, lazy, lazy. Min Yoongi is just another definition for the word. He hates cleaning, working out, and anything that requires getting up off the couch to be honest. On his days off he'd rather spend it sleeping or just hanging out around the house than going out into the world and exploring. This aspect of himself probably stems from the fact that he's always working himself so hard when it comes to bettering himself as a performer. 
Loyalty is another notable quality that he posseses. When he truly cares about somebody he will do whatever it takes to make sure that they're feeling safe and loved. He's demonstrated this by sticking by Haneul's side throughout the years, and he's gotten into fights on her behalf on quite a few occasions when people would pick on her as a kid. 

Relationships: Childhood best friends that end up publicly dating

How you interact: To those who are outsiders looking in on their relationship, Yoongi and Haneul seem to always be fighting about something or other. But that's just how their friendship works. They tease each other and playfully argue over small things, like who are the last cookie, when they get bored. They've known eachother for ages, so they know pretty much everything about each other and they use that to show how strong their connection really is, buying the other their favorite snack and watching a movie when someone's having a bad day, helping the other to avoid allergens and people they hate and all that. 
When they're alone, the two can often be found lazing around together. Normally Yoongi is sitting on the couch with Ryu draped across him.  They don't need to speak all that much to feel comfortable with each other, and more often than not they literally just sit around and do nothing but eat and sleep. This is completely fine with the both of them though.

Reason ?: Before anyone tries to kill her, Ryu does not intend to go after Tablo and steal him from his wife and child. She simply respects him a lot for his mental resolve and his intelligence, and she finds that his easygoing and honest personality mixed with how well he treats his daughter makes her hope that she can be lucky enough to find a man that's even a little bit like him in the future.
